팬터그래프-전차선로 접촉부 영상처리 기술 개발 (Development of Image Processing Technology for Interaction between Pantograph and Overhead Contact Wire)

  • The measurement of dynamic stagger in electric railways is one of the key test parameters to increase speed and maintain safety in electric railways. This paper is introduces a non-contact optical-based measuring instrument of a catenary system in electric railways. The instrument is implemented by utilizing a CCD (Charge Coupled Device) camera installed on the roof of a vehicle for vision acquisition and image processing techniques including the Canny edge detector and the Hough transform to detect contact wires and calculate dynamic stagger. To check the validity of our approach for the intended application, we measured stagger of a overhead wire of a Korea Tilting Train (TTX). The non-contact optical-based measurement system proposed in this paper performs real-time stagger measurement of an activated high-voltage contact wire. By results of this paper, the instrument should be applied to assess performance and reliability of newly developed electric railway vehicles.

  • We propose an optical-based measuring instrument of catenary system in electric railway. This system was made to utilize line scan camera as inspecting system to measure the stagger and height of overhead contact wire in railway and composed with optical type source and FPGA-based image acquisition system with PCI slot. Vision acquisition software has been used for the application to programming interface for image acquisition, display, and storage with a frequency of sampling. To check the validity of our approach for the intended application, we monitored height and stagger in the overhead wire of a high-speed catenary system in Korea. The proposed optical-based measuring instrument to measure the contact wire geometry such as the hight and stagger shows promising on-field applications for online condition motoring. We expect that a new generation of real-time instruments with demanding various conditions motoring requirement in railway can be easily integrated into optical-based measuring instrument system.

  • 현재 전차선 높이 및 편위 측정을 위한 측정시스템은 원천기술 자체를 독일, 일본, 프랑스, 이탈리아에서 제품개발 이전에 기술 특허를 출원하여 선점이 되어있어 국내 전차선에 적합하고 정밀도가 높은 기술 개발과 더불어 측정을 위한 원천기술의 자체개발이 필요하다. [1, 2] 따라서, 독자적이고 독립적인 원천기술을 개발하고 객관적 검증을 위해 기초시험과 이미지프로세싱 기법을 이용한 선형화로 원천, 측정기술 확보와 동시에 실질적 기술 검증이 필요하다. 이를 위해 Line Scan Camera 및 시스템 구성 후 시험을 위해 카메라고정과 모의시험을 위해 지그를 제작하였으며 측정된 데이터를 저장하고 Line Scan Camera를 동작하기 위한 프로그램을 개발하여 이를 구현하고자 하였다.

전기철도 강체전차선로의 정적 상태 검출 기술 연구 (A Study on Technologies for Measuring Static Condition of Rigid Conductor System in Railway Electrification)

  • The purpose of an electric railway system contact wire is to supply electric energy to trains through a contacted pantograph. This energy is then converted into mechanical energy. Recent developments in overhead contact lines include the increase in the tension force up to 34 kN according to train speeds that reach up to 400 km/h with a verified safety. Rigid conductor catenary (R-Bar) for high speeds of up to 250 km/h have been developed in tunnels to save on construction costs. This is significant because minor defects in R-bars in aspects, such as height and stagger affect installation conditions. In this study, we propose the use of a detector that measures the static characteristics to reduce the R-bar installation errors. This detector has been developed to measure the height and stagger of the contact wire using video images.

  • 전차선은 철도 전기차량에 전기를 안정적으로 공급하기 위한 시설물로서, 차량이나 외부요인에 의한 전차선의 변형 및 파손을 검지하여 전기철도 시설물 규정에 따라 최적의 상태로 유지해야 할 필요성이 있다. 본 논문에서는 전차선 마킹을 위한 라인레이저와 고속카메라 간에 기하학적 구성을 이용하여 3차선 거리측정방식으로 전차선 높이와 편위를 측정하기 위한 시스템 개발에 관하여 기술하였다. 전차선 거리 측정방법은 이미지 상에 마킹된 전차선 프로파일의 픽셀위치를 삼각함수 기법을 적용하여 카메라와의 전차선간에 각도를 계산하였으며, 카메라는 랜즈 왜곡 및 심도, 원금감 등에 따라 측정대상에 대한 픽셀 해상도가 다르므로 전차선 위치변화에 따른 픽셀당 각도 분해능을 적용하였다. 또한 전차선은 조가선과 급전선등과 같은 다른 전기배선보다 가장 아래에 설비되어 있는 특징을 이용하여 FPGA 상에서 전차선에 마킹된 레이저 프로파일 데이터를 고속으로 추출하여 처리하였다. 개발시스템은 전차선 시설물 평가기준에 따라 전차선 높이, 편위 측정데이터를 실시간 분석하여 이상구간에 대한 실시간 자동화 진단기능을 수행토록 하였다.

  • Currently in electric railways, there are various test standards for catenary systems such as stability assessment standards and maintenance standards for appropriate vehicle operation. In Korea, maintenance vehicles are used to measure height, stagger, and wear of catenaries and various tests are being conducted based on maintenance manuals. In this paper, real-time data aquisition technologies for assessment of electric railway current collection status between catenaries and pantographs that are consistantely being developed from the adoption of electric railways were analyzed based on on-board measurement items.

주행 중 발생하는 고속전철 집전계 신호의 특성 (Characteristics of Current Collection Signals during Test Run of High-speed Train)

  • The dynamic characteristics of the current collection process of the high-speed railway are investigated through signals acquired during a test run. The signals are obtained from accelerometers, load cells, and strain gauges attached to various positions of the pantograph, and they are processed in time-and frequency-domains to obtain the dynamic characteristics. The main natural frequency of the pantograph is found to be 8.5Hz. There also are components at low frequencies varying linearly with the train speed. The contact frequency components above 20Hz is attenuated as they pass through the secondary suspension. The main frequency component of the load cell signal is found to be related with the rolling motion of the panhead generated by the stagger in the catenary.
