  • In this research a Simulink/RTW-baed realtime control system was developed for an induction motor vector control. On the Simulink window, the control system is designed in the form of block diagrams, program codes are produced automatically with the RTW(Real Time Workshop), then an DSP c compiler compiles the program codes. With this automatic program producing method rapid prototyping is realized with the least time-consuming manual programming procedures. To show effectiveness of the proposed system designing scheme a DSP-based induction motor vector controller was constructed and implemented.

  • The purpose of this study is the development of PBL(problem-based learning) system using visual C++5.0 as a window-based application program. A patient who complains of weight loss was used in PBL case. Initial frame is made by dialog-based in MFC(microsoft foundation class). Also, sample medical images are composed of ultra-sound, chest PA, Thyroid scan, otherwise. we will make this program as CD-ROM and the internet application or computer assisted learning and continuous medical education.

  • A window-based multibody dynamics program CADyna(Computer Aided Dynamics) is developed and applied for kinematic and dynamic analysis ova steering system. The program is composed oft pre-processor, a main processor, and a post-processor. The pre-processor is developed with Visual C7+ and the post-processor is developed with OpenGL and TeeChart. The main processor generates the equations of motion employing velocity transformation technique. The developed program is customized for the design of an intermediate shaft in a steering system.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of a value clarification program on value clarification in juvenile delinquents. This study employed a two-group pre-post test study design. Data was collected from 16 subjects from Sept. 29 to Dec. 26, 2003 at N middle school in Seoul, Korea. 9 subjects constituted the control, while the experimental group was composed of 7 subjects. Method: The structured group therapy used in this study was developed on the basis of Raths et al. (1978) theory. The subjects participated in 10 sessions of therapy that lasted 60 minutes. The instruments used were value clarification Test (Lee, 1988), and SPSS Window. Result: The experimental group showed a significant increase in value clarification after their participation in the program. Conclusion: Based upon the findings it was concluded that a value clarification program was effective in improving value clarification in juvenile delinquents in the study.

  • Since Risk Based Inspection(RBI) was introduced to quality the risks for jet engine and nuclear power, the technique has been expanded to the area of petrochemical plant. Recently among USA and Europe, window-based computer programme for RBI has been rapidly developed. When local companies procure such program to apply to their plants, it is difficult to build up a proper database as well as expect a good result. In this regards, K-RBI programme accustomed to Korean environments was developed. After completion of the programme in 2004, it was tested by 2 local petrochemical plants and was produced fruitful results. By using these programme, we are expecting accident prevention through risk based planning and implementing of equipment inspection, and saving dollars caused by procuring foreign expensive programme.

  • This paper describes development of a package for generator maintenance scheduling program with user-friendly interactive mode. Generator maintenance scheduling is to select desirable maintenance periods of generators in the given interval satisfying reliability or economic criteria. Window-based system for user-friendly mode and Oracle-based database system for efficient data management are established in our package. Reserve rate levelization and LOLP minimization are performed in calculation mode, which is composed of DLL programs. Many graphs and charts are illustrated for the user-analysis. Operation is carried out by day-based unit, not by week. The case study has been conducted with the data of practical KEPCO power system in 1999 and successfully demonstrated its effectiveness.

  • This paper describes the development of the interactive hullform transformation program. This program has many hull transformation functions such as main particular transformation, deadrise generation, section characteristic transformation, local transformation and CB, LCB variation, etc. MBASTRANS adopted the GUI(Graphical User Interface) using the OSF/Motif based on the X-Window system and used X-PLOT and GLBAX which are 2 and 3 dimensional graphic libraries, respectively. The interface module cans generate the information of the hullform for the SIKOB package and the hydrodynamic analysis.

  • Due to global warming issues caused by climate changes which are internationally being highlighted, recently, there are lots of efforts under way to reduce energy consumption in various fields. Currently, 25 percent of energy consumption in Korea are being generated from buildings and especially, nearly 54 percent of them are being consumed by households. This study, therefore, aims to consider energy consumption status in the existing rural houses and analyze structure system performance, window system performance and air-permeability of domestic passive-type buildings using PHPP which is an analysis program of building energy to improve energy consumption problems in rural areas. Then, energy reduction plans in rural houses were proposed, by comparing and analyzing energy reduction of the existing rural houses, based on these data.
