건전성예측 및 관리기술 연구동향 및 응용사례 (A review on prognostics and health management and its applications)

  • Objective of this paper is to introduce a new technology known as prognostics and health management (PHM) which enables a real-time life prediction for safety critical systems under extreme loading conditions. In the PHM, Bayesian framework is employed to account for uncertainties and probabilities arising in the overall process including condition monitoring, fault severity estimation and failure predictions. Three applications - aircraft fuselage crack, gearbox spall and battery capacity degradation are taken to illustrate the approach, in which the life is predicted and validated by end-of-life results. The PHM technology may allow new maintenance strategy that achieves higher degree of safety while reducing the cost in effective manner.

  • This paper describes the numerical analysis of effect of geometric variation on the straight-bladed vertical axis wind turbine. Geometry variation is performed with pockets on the blades. The results presented in this numerical analysis show the general flow pattern of near the bladed, and azimuth angle variation on stating torque value. It is shown that the pockets makes torque higher about 80%.

2차원 익렬유동의 Navier-Stokes 해석 (Navier-Stokes Analysis of Two Dimensional Cascade Flow)

  • Two-dimensional Navier-Stokes code has been developed for analysis of turbomachinery blade rows and other internal flows. The Navier-Stokes equations are written in a Cartesian coordinate system, then mapped into a generalized body-fitted coordinate system. All direction of viscous terms are incorporated and turbulent effects are modeled using the Baldwin-Lomax algebraic model. Equation are discretized using finite difference method on the C-type grids and solved using implicit LU-ADI decomposition scheme. Calculations are made at a VKI turbine cascade flow in a transonic wind-tunnel and compared to experimental data. Present numerical scheme is shown to be in good agreement with the previous experimental results and simulates the two-dimensional viscous flow phenomena.

  • Recently, more power facilities are needed to cope with the increasing electric demand. However, the additional construction of generators, transmission and distribution installations is not easy because of environmental problems and citizen's complaints. Under this circumstance, a microgrid system with distributed renewable resources emerges as an alternative of the traditional power systems. Moreover, the configuration of power system changes with more DC loads and more DC installations. This paper is written to introduce an idea of a genetic algorithm-based solution to determine the optimal capacity of the distributed generators depending on the types of system configuration: AC-link, DC-link and Hybrid-link types. In this paper, photovoltaic, wind turbine, energy storage system and diesel generator are considered as distributed generators and the feasibility of the proposed algorithm is verified by comparing the calculated capacity of each distributed resource with HOMER simulation results for 3 types of system configuration.

  • Taper roller bearing is used on rotating shaft where radial and thrust loads are attended. To avoid the sudden failure and maintain the good condition of rotating machinery it is necessary to monitor the condition of bearing and diagnose the defect of bearing. In this study the diagnosis program of taper roller bearing which is used on the lower bearing of V.A.W.T. (Vertical Axis Wind Turbine) is developed. By plenty of test the database is constructed and by Gaussian distribution obtained from database the defect probability of bearing is calculated.

  • 풍력을 이용한 풍력발전기의 전력변환 시스템을 개발하기 위해서는 바람특성을 정확히 분석하고 이를 대치할 수 있는 모의시험 장치가 필수적이다. 모의시험 장치는 풍향, 풍속 등의 인자들을 입력받아 회전 블레이드의 토오크를 전동기가 대신해서 발전기에 공급하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 풍력발전 모의시험 장치를 이용해서 현재 개발 중인 750kW gearless형 풍력발전 시스템의 인버터 특성과 고효율의 전력변환 설계를 위해 시험용 지그에서 시험한 결과를 보이고자 한다.

  • A power limiting algorithm is proposed for stable operation of grid-connected inverter in case of grid voltage unbalance considering the operation limit of inverter. During the voltage unbalance the control performance of Inverter. is degraded and the output power contains 120Hz ripple due to the negative sequence of voltage. In this paper, conventional dual sequence current controller is implemented to solve these problems using separated control of positive and negative sequence. Especially the maximum power limit which guarantees the maximum rated current of the inverter is automatically calculated as the instant grid voltage changes. As soon as the voltage recovers the proposed algorithm can return to the normal power control mode accomplishing low voltage ride through. Proposed algorithm is verifed using PSCAD/EMTDC simulations and tested experimentally at 4.4kW wind turbine simulator set-up.

  • This paper presents a new cascaded boost multilevel converter topology for distributed generation (DG) systems. Most of DG systems, such as photovoltaic (PV), wind turbine and fuel cells, normally require the complex structure power converters, which makes the system expensive, complex and hard to control. However, the proposed converter topology can generate a much higher output voltage just by using the standard low-voltage switch devices and low voltage DC-sources in a simplified structure, also enhancing the reliability of the switch devices. Simulation and experimental results with a 1.2kW system are presented to validate the proposed topology and control method.

  • 본 논문은 분산전원이 기존의 배전계통상에 도입되는 경우에 대하여 전압변동해석을 수행하기 위해 제주 성산 변전소를 선정하여 MATLAB 프로그램을 이용하여 시뮬레이션 및 전압변동사항을 모의 분석하였고, 실제로 제주 행원풍력설비에서 발생하는 전압, 전류 고조파를 50조파까지 측정하여 전압 및 전류고조파 왜형률에 대한 분석을 시행하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 직렬운전 소형풍력발전시스템의 해석 방법과 최대 파워를 추종하는 MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracking)기법을 제안한다. 소형풍력 발전시스템은 개별 발전기에서 생성되는 역기전력이 낮아 배터리 충전과 같은 독립적인 부하에 전원을 공급하는 용도로 쓰이나 발전기를 N개 직렬연결하면 계통연계가 가능하다. 일반적인 풍력발전 시스템에서의 블레이드 출력은 출력 계수($C_p$) 곡선의 형태에 의해서 결정되고, 출력계수 곡선은 주속비(${\lambda}$)의 함수로 표현된다. N개의 발전기를 직렬연결 하는 경우 각기 다른 풍속에 대하여 출력파워 해석이 곤란하므로, 직렬 운전 시 발전기토크를 기준으로 한 해석과 이에 적합한 MPPT 방법을 제안한다.
