대구시 도시풍도에 대한 연구 (A Study on the City Wind Trail in Daegu)

  • The population of Daegu, the third biggest city in Korea, is two point six million. Daegu is known as a basin or a city where it is not only too hot in summer but also too cold in winter. Recently with redevelopment apartment house boom, a 40-story or more apartment complexes are under construction near Shin-cheon and Dondaegu-ro, the south-north axis of Daegu. It is necessary to raise several points about blocking a road of the wind by high-rise apartment buildings and apartment complexes. As a kind of the green policy, Daegu enlarge the distance between apartment building by reconstructing low-rise apartment into high-rise and impose a duty of a green space on the ground by making a parking zone into an underground. Through this process, apartment complexes changed from a '一'shape to a '口'shape. It increases heat island phenomenon of a city by blocking a road of the wind that comes from Shin-cheon and Dondaegu-ro. To circulate the polluted air of Daegu basin, we need local wind. There are four effective measures. 1) Throw three greens into one in the center of the road at the north side in the same way of the south side of Dongdaegu-ro, 2) reflect the information of roads of the wind including heights, spaces and directions of buildings, 3) steer clear of a high-rise buildings and development apartment house constructions, and 4)select a city for benchmarking to be the environmental capital.

해풍(海風)을 이용한 하계(夏季) 도시열환경(都市熱環境)의 풍도(風道)계획과 인체의 쾌적성에 관한 연구 (Estimating the cooling effect of see breeze along canals and outdoor thermal comfort on urban heat load in summer)

  • A new urban design method from the viewpoint of climate is considered to be desired for urban life. The authors verified on an environmental planning based on new urban design concept which introduced the effect of sea breeze blowing along canals. The field observation of urban thermal environment were carried out to examine the cooling effects of a river through city. The observations were conducted to find the effect of a sea breeze and climate in summer along canals. Effective distance from the sea and cooling effect of the sea breeze on urban temperature was analyzed. The thermal index using outdoor environment was modified with New Effective Temperature ET*. On the basis of the observation. Human thermal comfort is relieved and affected by sea breeze blowing along canals. The canals were utilized as the trail on which sea breeze blows towards the center of city. From these results, The wind trail is one of the effective passive design method from the viewpoint of urban climate.

승용차 외장측면거울 주위의 유동 특성 (Wake Flow Characteristics around the Side Mirror of a Passenger Car)

  • In order to investigate the vortex body frame interaction around the side mirror of a passenger car, velocity vector fields in the wake, pressure distributions and boundary layer flows over both the mirror surface and the mirror housing, have been measured by several experimental tools. It was resulted that only within an half downstream distance of the mirror span there appears the recirculation zone, and also found that vortex trail towards to the driver side window between A and B pillars, making the acoustic noise and vibration. Wake vortex rolls up after this recirculating zone and makes the trail of the vortex center towards the driver side window, which was also confirmed by measurements of wake velocity vectors in the vertical sections of the trail and visualization over the side mirror surfaces as well. It was also observed that total pressure distribution over the mirror surface has the minimum peak near the lower tip region which can be considered as the origin of the vortex center. It can be concluded that the geometrical modification of the lower tip and the upper root area of the mirror housing is the key to control the wake vortex.

지금초 추출물에 의한 TRAIL 저항성 인체위암세포의 세포사멸 유도 (Euphorbiae Immifusae Sensitizes Apoptosis of TRAIL-resistant Human Gastric Adenocarcinoma AGS Cells)

  • 본 연구에서는 지금초 열수 추출물(WEEH)의 처리에 의한 TRAIL 저항성 인체 위암세포의 증식 억제와 연관된 apoptosis유발에 관한 기전 해석을 시도하였다. 이를 위하여 AGS 세포주가 사용되었으며 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 본 연구에서 조사된 범위 내에서의 TRAIL (200 ng/ml) 및 WEEH (0.04 mg/ml)의 단독 처리에 의한 AGS 세포에 유의적인 세포 독성을 나타내지 않았다. 그러나 TRAIL 및 WEEH의 혼합 처리는 WEEH의 처리 농도의존적으로 AGS 세포의 증식을 억제하였으며, 이는 apoptosis 유발에 의한 것임을 MTT assay, 핵의 염색질 응축 및 세포주기 sub-G1기에 속하는 세포빈도의 증가 등으로 확인하였다. TRAIL 및 WEEH 혼합 처리에 의한 apoptosis 유발 기전의 해석을 위하여 다양한 생화학적 분석법에 의하여 조사된 결과에 의하면, TRAIL 및 WEEH 혼합처리에 의한 caspase-8의 활성화에 의한 BID의 truncation화 및 이와 연관된 미토콘드리아 기능의 손상에 따른 caspase-9의 활성화와 연관성이 있었다. 이러한 미토콘드리아 기능 손상 및 caspase-9의 활성화는 Bcl-2, Bcl-xL, XIAP 및 cIAP-2등과 같은 anti-apoptotic 인자들의 발현 저하와 연관성이 있는 것이며, 이로 인한 caspase-3의 활성화에 의한 PARP 단백질의 단편화 유도로 apoptosis가 일어난 것으로 예측되어 진다. 비록 부가적인 연구들이 요구되어지지만, 본 연구의 결과는 TRAIL저항성 암세포의 항암전략에 지금초 추출물의 적용 가능성을 보여주는 것으로서 지금초의 항암작용의 규명에 중요한 자료를 제공하여 줄 것으로 생각된다.

A study on the average wind load characteristics and wind-induced responses of a super-large straight-cone steel cooling tower

  • As a novel typical wind-sensitive structure, the wind load and wind-induced structural behaviors of super-large straight-cone cooling towers are in an urgent need to be addressed and studied. A super large straight-cone steel cooling tower (189 m high, the highest in Asia) that is under construction in Shanxi Power Plant in China was taken as an example, for which four finite element models corresponding to four structural types: the main drum; main drum + stiffening rings; main drum + stiffening rings + auxiliary rings (auxiliary rings are hinged with the main drum and the ground respectively); and main drum + stiffening rings + auxiliary rings (auxiliary rings are fixed onto the main drum and the ground respectively), were established to compare and analyze the dynamic properties and force transferring paths of different models. After that, CFD method was used to conduct numerical simulation of flow field and mean wind load around the cooling tower. Through field measurements and wind tunnel tests at home and abroad, the reliability of using CFD method for numerical simulation was confirmed. On the basis of this, the surface flow and trail characteristics of the tower at different heights were derived and the wind pressure distribution curves for the internal and external surfaces at different heights of the tower were studied. Finally, based on the calculation results of wind-induced responses of the four models, the effects of stiffening rings, auxiliary rings, and different connecting modes on the dynamic properties and wind-induced responses of the tower structure were derived and analyzed; meanwhile, the effect mechanism of internal suction on such kind of cooling tower was discussed. The study results could provide references to the structure selection and wind resistance design of such type of steel cooling towers.

The motion rule of sand particles under control of the sand transportation engineering

  • In the desert and Gobi regions with strong wind and large sediment discharge, sand transporting engineering is more effective than sand blocking and sand fixing measures in sand prevention. This study uses the discrete phase model of 3D numerical simulation to study the motion trail, motion state and distribution rule of sand particles with different grain diameters when the included angle between the main shaft of the feather-row lateral transportation sand barrier and the wind direction changes, and conducts a comparison in combination with the wind tunnel test and the flow field rule of common sand barrier. According to the comparison, when wind-sand incoming flow passes through a feather-row sand barrier, sand particles slow down and deposit within the deceleration area under the resistance of the feather-row sand barrier, move along the transportation area formed by the transportation force, and accumulate as a ridge at the tail of the engineering. With increasing wind speed, the eolian erosion of the sand particles to the ground and the feather-row sand barrier is enhanced, and the sand transporting quantity and throw-over quantity of the feather-row sand barrier are both increased. When sand particles with different grain diameters bypass the feather-row sand barrier, the particle size of the infiltrating sands will increase with the included angle between the main shaft of the feather-row sand barrier and the wind direction. The obtained result demonstrates that, at a constant wind speed, the flow field formed is most suitable for the lateral transportation of the wind-drift flow when the included angle between the main shaft of the feather-row sand barrier lateral transportation engineering and the wind speed is less than or equal to $30^{\circ}$.

한라산 성판악 등산로 노폭의 확대 속도와 요인 (Rates and Factors of Path Widening in Seongpanak Hiking Trail of Mount Halla, Jeju Island)

  • 한라산 성판악 코스 표고 $875{\sim}$1,400m 구간의 32개 지점에서 등산로 측벽의 후퇴량, 즉 노폭의 확대 속도를 관측하고, 확대 프로세스에 영향을 미치는 요인을 조사하였다. 2002년 10월부터 2008년 4월까지 발생한 측벽의 평균 후퇴량은 50.6mm로서 후퇴 속도는 10.0mm/yr이다. 연도별로는 2006년과 2003년에 각각 최대치 18.0mm/yr와 최소치 7.6mm/yr를 기록하였다. 관측 기간을 동결기와 비동결기로 구분하면 시기별 후퇴 속도는 19.3mm/yr와 4.3mm/yr이다. 비동결기를 다시 우기와 건기로 구분하면 후퇴 속도는 각각 5.9mm/yr와 2.9mm/yr이다. 계절별로는 겨울철(42.2mm/yr), 봄철(13.0mm/yr), 가을철(6.4mm/yr), 장마철(3.3mm/yr), 여름철(1.3mm/yr)의 순이다. 토양경도와 표고는 측벽의 후퇴 속도와 명료한 상관관계를 보이지 않으나, 동결기에는 남향보다 북향 측벽에서 후퇴 쏙도가 더 크다. 겨울철 후퇴량이 전체 후퇴량의 76.7%를 차지하고 있어 등산로 측벽은 주로 서릿발 작용으로 후퇴하는 것으로 판단된다. 조사 구간은 연간 85일 정도 서릿발이 발생할 수 있는 기후 조건을 지니고 있으며, 12월의 동결 진행기, 3월과 4월의 융해 진행기에는 서릿발로 덮여 있는 측벽의 모습을 쉽게 볼 수 있다. 반면에 한라산 동사면의 약한 풍속과 교목 지대에 위치하고 있는 등산로 특성상 취식과 우적침식은 탁월하지 않다. 등산로 노면의 포장 시설로 인하여 우세의 영향도 미약하며, 동물의 영향도 나타나지 않는다. 그러나 봄철에 융설로 생긴 물웅덩이를 피하여 걷는 등산객 때문에 크게 후퇴하는 측벽도 보인다.

  • 본 연구에서는 회전 깃(rotor blade)을 폭 방향과 시위방향으로 많은 평면 페 널(panel)들로 나누어 이에 말굽쇠 형 화류(horseshoe vortex)를 분포시키는 양력면 (lifting surface)으로 대치하고 후류는 깃상의 순환(circulation)분포에 의해 그 크 기가 결정되는 와도(vorticity)를 와류격자로 대치하는 와류격자법(Vortex Lattice Method`VLM)을 사용하여 HAWT의 공기역학적 성능 예측을 시도하였다. 그리고 후류의 형상은 근 후류(near wake)와 원후류(far wake)로 나누어 근 후류는 깃의 후연(trail- ing edge)에서의 속도를 갖고 와선(vortex line)이 움직이게 하여 결정하였고 원 후류 는 반무한대 원형화류 실린더(semi-infinite circular vortex cylinder)로 취급하여 결정하였다.

  • In solar power system, the height and azimuth of the sun are important parameters which control generated power magnitude. The way that controls the daily generation magnitude according to latitude and longitude and uses two axles is often used in the existing sunlight racing system now. In this two-axle sunlight track control system the self-load is concentrated on one FRAME. It is influenced of the regular load, snow load and the wind load, etc. It is difficult to set up the system in the building already built up. This research is a development about the small-scale economy track device of independent load-dispersing type solar generation system. The position track algorithm is through calculating the trail of height and azimuthal of the sun calculation to follow the sun.

Analysis of Usage Behavior and Preference in Senior-Friendly Parks for the Aging Society

  • The Korean society is currently showing a decrease in the child population and a rapid increase in the elderly population due to low birth rates and aging, but the current park system does not reflect the changing population structure. This study aimed to find ways to plan and promote use of senior-friendly parks for the aging society. The results are as follows. First, the elderly mostly gathered in Tapgol Park and Jongmyo Park which were accessible to subways and close to amenities and traditional markets. The elders usually gathered around buffer zones or green spaces set up to protect cultural heritages. Second, many elderly users were observed in Osolgil Silver Park and Sinteuri Park which were renovated with senior-friendly concept. These parks were recognized as places that the elderly people could visit without minding users of other generations because the elderly users were ensured by words such as 'seniors only' or 'senior-friendly'. Third, the importance of the locational conditions for the senior-friendly parks should be mentioned. A senior-friendly park must be located in an urban center to have convenient access to transportation, secure large green spaces, and make elderly users feel at ease with social connectivity when they use the amenities there. Fourth, the survey results showed that elderly people visited parks to exerciseand take a walk (track),by age, older age groups visited the park to socialize with other elders around their age. Fifth, the most desired facilities for constructing senior-friendly parks were fitness equipment, and sports facilities like a trail, track, and gateball field, and in some cases, vegetable gardens and indoor rest area to avoid wind in cold weather.
