Hanbok Chima, a Korean skirt, with large-volume should have an archetypal drawing model for appropriate cultural and historical accuracy. In order to develop new Hanbok Chima archetypal drawings we drew a skirt by connecting height with a design structure adopted from Jeogori, a Korean jacket. As a result, an archetypal drawing was developed from which circumference of lower width of Chima, size of pleats in waist circumference, and length of Chima as well as a scheme of layering Chima and Jeogori can be obtained. In this drawing, width of Chima can increase or decrease naturally according to height. However, in case of same heights and different chest circumferences if 2.5cm of additional value is provided for every 5cm increase in chest circumference, Chima of any size can be made based on this drawing. In conclusion, given the demonstrated practicality of designing a Hanbok Chima with large-volume based on archetypal drawings, it is expected that the results of this study will provide useful scientific data for Korean costume designs.
This work presents a numerical procedure to optimize the shape of three-dimensional channel with angled ribs mounted on one of the walls to enhance turbulent heat transfer. The response surface method is used as an optimization technique with Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes analysis of flow and heat transfer. SST turbulence model is used as a turbulence closure. The width-to-height ratio of the rib, rib height-to-channel height ratio, pitch-to-rib height ratio and attack angle of the rib are chosen as design variables. The objective function is defined as a linear combination of heat-transfer and friction-loss related terms with weighting factor. D-optimal experimental design method is used to determine the data points. Optimum shapes of the channel have been obtained for the weighting factors in the range from 0.0 to 1.0.
Girls' school uniform evaluative criteria and their uniform modification were investigated. The data were collected by questionnaire from 579 middle and high school girls living in Incheon during the fall of 2003. The uniform evaluative criteria consisted of five dimensions: aesthetics, comfort, economy, management, and status concealment factor. The uniform evaluative criteria were used to cluster the students into five groups: economic, practical, aesthetic, negative, and active. The uniform modifications were investigated in regard to sleeve length, sleeve width, breast width, jacket length, skirt length, hip width, and waist width. The aesthetic and the active groups intended to modify uniforms less in sleeve length and skirt length than the other three groups. There were significant differences in the uniform modifications among demographics: school years, height, weight, spending money, satisfaction/dissatisfaction with spending money, and clothing expenditures.

The purpose of this study was to investigate on the sleeve form variation according to arm movements for elderly women. This study was experimented using the Plaster gypsum. The subjects who were elderly women were divided into three groups according to Rorher Index. Arm movements were five type ($0^{\circ},\;45^{\circ},\;90^{\circ},\;135^{\circ},\;180^{\circ}$) to each the vertical motion in front and in side. The statistical analyses used in this study were Mean, Standard Deviation, Spearman's correlation coefficients, paired T-test, Kruskal-wallis one-way ANOVA and Duncan's multiple range test. The results were as follows: 1) Increasing the movements, the width of the sleeve increased and the height of the sleeve cap decreased but girth of the sleeve cap was not consistant. 2) When varied the rates of the three aspects of the sleeve, the height of the sleeve cap showed the largest variation rate. 3) There was a negative correlation between the height and the width of the sleeve. On the other hand, there was a positive correlation between the sleeve width and the sleeve girth. 4) There were the vertical motion differences between in front and in side on the three aspects of sleeve. 5) The sleeve width and the sleeve girth were different according to somatotypes but the height of the sleeve cap was not different. 6) According to the variation rates of the body surfaces in length of standard lines, the form of sleeve was changed more in the front than in the back. Maximum variation rate showed in the areas of $D_1-D_3,\;E_1-E_3$ in the horizontal lines and $A-E_2$ in vertical lines. 7) According to the comparative drawing of the heights of sleeve cap and sleeve girth, the sleeve basic pattern $S_1(A.H/4)$ was more suitable for the direction $0^{\circ}\;and\;45^{\circ}$. And the basic pattern S_6(A.H/5)$ was more suitable for the direction $90^{\circ}$, the pattern $S_7(A.H/6)$ suitable for the direction $135^{\circ}$, and the pattern $S_8(A.H/8)$ was more suitable for the direction $180^{\circ}$.

This study presents a numerical procedure to optimize shape of streamwise periodic ribs mounted on both of the principal walls to enhance turbulent heat transfer in a rectangular channel flow. The response surface method is used as an optimization technique. The optimization is based on Navier-Stokes analysis of flow and heat transfer with $k-{\varepsilon}$ turbulence model. The width-to-height ratio of a rib, rib height-to-channel height ratio and rib pitch to rib height ratio are chosen as design variables. The object function is defined as a function of heat transfer coefficient and friction drag coefficient with weighting factor. Optimum shapes of the rib have been obtained for the range of 0.02 to 0.1 of weighting factor.

The shape of the net mouth in a midwater trawl gear is examined by measuring towing speed, gear resistance, the width of otter boards, net height, and so on of a full-scale gear in operation. In addition, a mathematical model is developed to predict shapes of the net mouth. In the model, shapes of head, ground, side ropes, which governs the shape of net mouth, are assumed as a catenary. The validity of the model is tested with observations. The results can be summarized as follows: 1. The warp tension and vertical opening of the gear is highly dependent to the towing speed. The depth of the gear and width of otter boards are very sensitive to the variations of the warp length. 2. The model results indicate that the wing tip of the head and side ropes is reduced and the vertical distances of the head and side ropes sagged to the back with increasing towing speed. 3. The results of comparing the measured net height with calculated side rope height were satisfying. 4. The results of analysis showed the vertical axis of the net mouth was decreased and the width of the net mouth was little changed when the towing speed increased.
In this paper it was focused on the characteristics of displacement and stress due to the construction of diagonal twin tunnel. In this research, the characteristics have been analyzed with the presumption that the tunnel's diameter (D) is 13m and the ground was formed by weathered rock. In analysis, the width of pillar is 2.0D, 2.5D, 3.0D, the height of soil cover is 3D, 4D, 5D, and the installation angle of diagonal twin tunnel has been changed into $15^{\circ}$, $30^{\circ}$, $45^{\circ}$. And the program used in this analysis is FLAC which is widely used in solution problems of ground engineering in order to gain and analyze occurring shotcrete and rockbolt stress and nearby ground displacement according to pillar width, the height of soil cover and installation angle of diagonal twin tunnel. As a result, in the weathered rock grounds, when the width of pillar is more than 2.0D, the height of soil cover is over 5.0D, and the installation angle of diagonal twin tunnel is lower, they lessen effects on the ground and favorable on the stability of tunnel.
There are a variety of types in tafoni formed in Miocene tuff from Golgulsa, Gyeongju. Tuff bearing tafoni was quite weathered, composed of quartz, feldspars, micas, vermiculite, chlorite, smectite, and analcite. In the early stage of the tafoni development, tafoni preferentially formed from cavities where volcanic breccias were removed or from microcavities where microcrystals were chemically altered. Small tafoni grew into large one by merging each other. The orientation of tafoni is inversely arranged to slopes, with slight inclination toward the inner cavity. Height, width, and depth of tafoni are closely interrelated: the correlation coefficients are 0.839 (width-height), 0.900 (width-depth), and 0.856 (height-depth), respectively. Removal of walls between tafoni resulted in lenticular or crescent forms, and small tafoni laterally combined to large tafoni. Large tafoni is weak because of high porosity and low strength compared to normal slope. Therefore, systematic monitoring for slope strength, pore proportion and volume, and growth of cavity needs to secure the slope stability where tafoni in Golgulsa is widespread.

The characteristics of the shielded suspended substrate coplanar waveguide(SSCPW) are analyzed by applying the point matchning method to the quasi-TEM mode approximation. The characteristic impedances and the effective dielectric constants are also calculated by changing the height of air and dielectric layer, and the strip width of SSCPW. Approaching the side strip width of SSCPW to zero, values of characteristic impedances and effective dielectric constants are agreed well with the results obtained by the variational method.
