A study on convective cooling characteristics has been done in the channels with heat pipes and associated Plane fins Analysis with FLUENT V5.0 lies its Purpose on the possible enhancement of heat transfer capability between an existing three in-line arrayed heatpipes and an extending four in-line arrayed heatpipes with increasing channel width. Numerical analysis is limited to the laminar flow in an isolated flow channel by employing cyclic boundary conditions for calculation purposes. Friction factors for three and four in-line arrayed heatpipes are compared with experimental results. In addition, temperature behavior at the plate fin for the three in-line arrayed heatpipes is compared with experiment. Friction factors and overall channel heat transfer coefficients (and/or Nusselt numbers) are presented as a function of Reynolds number. An increase of number of heatpipes and channel width reults in a decrease of the friction factor and doesn't not result in an increase of heat transfer performance. However. considering the 25$\%$ increase of heat load accompanies with maximum 8$^{\circ}C$ rise of average temperature of heat pipes, the four in-line array with the increase of channel width of heat pipe heat sink can be considered appropriate.

Stereolithography (SLA) is a technique using a laser beam to cure a photopolymer liquid resin with three-dimensional computer-aided design (CAD) data, The accuracy of the prototype, the build time, and the cured properties of the resins are controlled by the SLA process parameters such as the size of the laser beam, scan velocity, hatch spacing, and layer thickness, In particular, the size of the laser beam is the most important parameter in SLA, This study investigated the curing properties of photopolymers as a function of the laser beam size, The cure width and depth were measured either on a single cure line or at a single cure layer for various hatch spacings and laser beam sizes, The cure depth ranged from 0.23 to 0.34 mm and was directly proportional to the beam radius, whereas the cure width ranged from 0.42 to 1.07 mm and was inversely proportional to the beam radius, The resulting surface roughness ranged from 1.12 to $2.23{\mu}m$ for a ratio of hatch spacing to beam radius in the range 0.5-2.0 at a beam radius of 0.17 mm and a scan velocity of 125 mm/sec.

We study complicated nonlinear interactions of two orthogonally polarized pulses with pulse-width of less than 100fsec in the all-optical phase-shift switches, which use soliton pulse-train and fiber-splicing for control pulse to obtain multi-collisional $\pi$-phase-shift and consider Raman response function. We investigate switching performance in various input parameters such as input pulse-width and birefringence of fiber, and find optimum initial conditions for good switching performance in such all-optical switches.
This paper presents the development and application of a riparian buffer zone design model(RBZDM). The model was developed as a decision-making tool for watershed management, by integrating geographic information system(GIS) and analytical hierarchy process(AHP) theory. Several factors for watershed management, such as pollution removal capacity, land aquisition cost, distribution of point and non-point pollution sources, and possibility of new pollution source location, were analyzed based on AHP theory. The vegetated buffer zone width was designed using GIS-based riparian buffer analysis. The developed model was applied to the Kyoungan Stream watershed, which is an important part of Paldang lake catchment area. The Kyoungan stream watershed was divided into sixteen subbasins. Six of them belong to the main stem, where the model was applied. Ten alternatives of buffer zone width and five hierarchial levels were designed. The relative importance and the relative preference were computed by pair-wise comparison of evaluation criteria given in hierarchial levels. The buffer zone width was determined by linear function of the given alternatives and relative preferences. From this study, it was determined that the six buffer zone widths of Kyoungan main stems would be 1,594, 1,744, 1,856, 1,782, 1,338, 1,780 meter, from upstream to downstream.
This study was carried out to investigate the influence of the various physiological function caused by brassiere wearing. The four experimental methods used in this study are as follows. For example, the Roentgen photographing, Body measurement by Sliding Gauge, the measurement of the Electrocardiogram and Blood Pressure. The results of the Electrocardiogram and Blood Pressure. The results of the investigation were as follows: 1. In experimental change by Sliding Gauge and Body measurement, The bust point was rised in order AB1>B2. The width of right and left bust point was decreased in order of A>B1>B2. According to, The supplementary effect of brassiere wearing was excellent in B2. 2. In the change of various organs by Roentgen photographing, The width of the chest and size of the heart were decreased in regular order of A>B1>B2. The diaphragm and the others were not showed change. 3. In the experimental result by measurement of the electrocardiogram, The interval of heart palpitation was decreased in order A>B1>B2 and the pulse frequency was similar. 4. In the experimental result by the blood pressure measurement, A had the highest blood pressure and B2 had the lowest pressure in all variables.
Detailed pulse shape analysis of a Geiger-$M{\ddot{u}}ller$ counter is performed to understand the pulse shape dependence on operating voltage. New data is presented to demonstrate that not all pulses generated in a GM counter are identical. In fact, there is a strong correlation between the operating voltage and the pulse shape. Similar to detector deadtime, pulse shapes fall in three distinct regions. For low voltage region, where deadtime was reported to reduce with increasing voltage, pulse generated in this region was observed to have a fixed pulse width with a variable tail. The pulse width and fall time of the tail was observed to be a function of applied voltage; exponentially reducing with increasing voltage with an exponent of negative 6E-04 and 2E-03 respectively. The second region showed a pulse without any significant tail. During this time the detector deadtime was earlier reported to be at its minimum. The highest voltage region demonstrated a different deadtime mechanism where the second pulse was reduced in width. During this time the deadtime seemed to be increasing with increasing voltage. This data allows us to gain some unique insight into the phenomenon of GM detector deadtime not reported thus far.
Purpose: The study aimed to examine the influence of PNF direct and indirect breathing treatments for patients with cervical spinal cord injuries who had breathing problems. Methods: For each cervical spinal cord patient, force vital capacity (FVC), peak expiratory flow, maximum phonation time (MPT), rib cage width, and VAS were measured pre-intervention and four weeks after post-intervention. The indirect method and the direct method were used for interventions. We treated patients with the indirect method using scapular anterior depression pattern, bilateral extensor pattern with rhythmic initiation, and a combination of isotonic. We treated patients with the direct method, applying pressure on the sternum and using rhythmic initiation (hold relax and stretch reflex) for the rib cage. Training occurred for 50 minutes a day and three days per week for four weeks. Results: FVC, MPT, peak expiratory flow, and rib cage width were increased and decreased at the VAS point for rolling after treatment. Conclusion: Patients with cervical spinal cord injuries who had breathing problems felt uncomfortable when they had conversations on a couch. We found that PNF direct and indirect treatments improved rib cage width and breathing functions of patients with cervical spinal cord injuries.
Moebius syndrome (MBS) is a congenital neurologic disorder that causes cranio-facial abnormalities. It involves paralysis of the VI and VII cranial nerves and causes bilateral or unilateral facial paralysis, eye movement disorder, and deformation of the upper and lower limbs. The orofacial dysfunctions include microstomia, micrognathia, hypotonic mimetic and lip muscles, dental enamel hypoplasia, tongue deformity, open bite or deep overbite, maxillary hypoplasia, high arched palate, mandibular hyperplasia or features indicating mandibular hypoplasia. This case report presents a 7-year-old male patient who was diagnosed with MBS at the age 2 years. The patient displayed typical clinical symptoms and was diagnosed with Class II malocclusion with a large overjet/overbite, tongue deformity and motion limitation, and lip closure incompetency. Treatment was initiated using a removable appliance for left scissor bite correction. After permanent tooth eruption, fixed appliance treatment was performed for correction of the arch width discrepancy and deep overbite. A self-ligation system and wide-width arch form wire were used during the treatment to expand the arch width. After 30 months of phase II treatment, the alignment of the dental arch and stable molar occlusion was achieved. Function and occlusion remained stable with a Class I canine and molar relationship, and a normal overjet/overbite was maintained after 9.4 years of retainer use. In MBS patients, it is important to achieve an accurate early diagnosis, and implement a multidisciplinary treatment approach and long-term retention and follow-up.

In this paper, we propose the BAG (Bit-width Aware Generator) and the Intermediate Layer Knowledge Distillation using Channel-wise Attention to reduce the knowledge gap between a quantized network, a full-precision network, and a generator in GDFQ (Generative Data-Free Quantization). Since the generator in GDFQ is only trained by the feedback from the full-precision network, the gap resulting in decreased capability due to low bit-width of the quantized network has no effect on training the generator. To alleviate this problem, BAG is quantized with same bit-width of the quantized network, and it can generate synthetic images, which are effectively used for training the quantized network. Typically, the knowledge gap between the quantized network and the full-precision network is also important. To resolve this, we compute channel-wise attention of outputs of convolutional layers, and minimize the loss function as the distance of them. As the result, the quantized network can learn which channels to focus on more from mimicking the full-precision network. To prove the efficiency of proposed methods, we quantize the network trained on CIFAR-100 with 3 bit-width weights and activations, and train it and the generator with our method. As the result, we achieve 56.14% Top-1 Accuracy and increase 3.4% higher accuracy compared to our baseline AdaDFQ.

This paper proposes an intelligent sliding mode control method for robotic systems with the unknown bound of model uncertainties. In our control structure, the unknown bound of model uncertainties is used as the gain of the sliding controller. Then, we employ the function approximation technique to estimate the unknown nonlinear function including the width of boundary layer and the uncertainty bound of robotic systems. The adaptation laws for all parameters of the self-recurrent wavelet neural network and those for the reconstruction error compensator are derived from the Lyapunov stability theorem, which are used for an on-line control of robotic systems with model uncertainties and external disturbances. Accordingly, the proposed method can not only overcome the chattering phenomenon in the control effort but also have the robustness regardless of model uncertainties and external disturbances. Finally, simulation results for the five-link biped robot are included to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
