다중 펄스 방식에 의한 고성능 오존발생 제어장치 개발 (Development of High Performance Ozone Generating Controller)

  • When an excessive voltage is applied to the discharge gap in ozone generator, the discharge room temperature becomes higher. As is well own, the efficiency of the ozone generation is deteriorated by the excessively hot temperature because of the decomposition reaction. In this paper, the simple small capacity ozone generating controller has been introduced, which provides effective and stable silent discharge characteristics over wide range input power. The proposed power controller has two important advantages, which imply that the production rate of ozone can be controlled linearly according to the delivered power and the surplus energy is recovered to the source. The experimental results are given to verify the performance of the pre proposed controller.

  • 본 논문에서는, 넓은 입력전압 범위에서 높은 효율을 가지는 위상천이 풀브릿지 컨버터를 제안한다. 위상천이 풀브릿지 컨버터는 풀브릿지 구조로 인한 스위치의 작은 도통 손실과, 영전압 스위칭 등의 특징으로 인해 높은 용량에서 널리 쓰이는 토폴로지이다. 하지만, 위상천이 풀브릿지 컨버터는 넓은 입력전압 범위에서 설계되면 1차측에 큰 환류 전류가 생겨 도통손실이 증가하는 문제점이 생긴다. 따라서 이를 해결하기 위해, 제안하는 회로는 추가 소자 없이 간단히 2차측 정류기 구조를 바꾸어, 1차측 환류 전류를 제거한다. 이로 인해 제안하는 회로는 넓은 입력전압 범위에서도 높은 효율을 가진다. 제안하는 회로의 효용성을 증명하기 위해, 320-400V 입력 전압과 56V/12.8A의 출력에서 실험이 진행되었다.

  • This paper proposes a two-phase interleaved bridgeless single-stage ac-dc converter with magnetic integration that can achieve CCM power factor correction without input current sensing. All switches achieve ZVS turn-on and all diodes achieve ZCS turn-on for the whole grid cycle. SDAB-based modulation strategy is applied which results in simple power control and wide range output voltage. A flux cancellation method to integrate the interleaved transformer is firstly proposed in this paper to reduce the core size and loss. Experimental results on a 1.7-kW, 50kHz prototype are given to verify the principle and advantages of the proposed ac-dc converter.

  • 본 논문에서는 넓은 입력전압 범위를 갖는 풍력발전기용 단상 무변압기형 PCS를 제안한다. 제안하는 풍력발전기용 PCS는 에너지 이용률과 고효율을 위하여 높은 승압비를 가지는 비절연 부스트 DC-DC 컨버터가 적용되었으며, 인버터의 공통모드 노이즈로 인한 누설전류를 저감시키기 위하여 바이폴라(Bipolar) 스위칭 방식을 적용하였다. 본 논문에서는 제안하는 풍력발전시스템의 타당성을 검증하기 위하여 9kW 시작품을 제작하여 실험하였다.

  • This paper proposes a modeling of fuel cell which replaces dc source during simulation. Fuel cells are electrochemical devices that convert chemical energy in fuels into electrical energy. This system has high efficiency and heat, no environmental chemical pollutions and noise. Proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFC) are commonly used as a residential generator. These fuel cells have different electrical characteristics such as a low voltage and high current compared with solar cells. And there are different behaviors in the V-I curve in the temperature and pressure. Therefore, the modeling of fuel cell should consider wide voltage range and slow current response and the resulting electrical model is applied to boost converter with fuel cell as an input source.

  • 본 논문은 소형 항공용 엔진에 적용되는 영구자석 발전기와 단극 발전기의 특성을 기술한다. 영구자석 발전기는 소형화와 빠른 동특성을 장점으로 갖는데, 빠른 동특성은 전적으로 DC/DC 컨버터의 특성에 따르며, 이러한 컨버터는 부피 및 비용의 증가를 가져온다. 반면, 단극 발전기는 계자권선의 자속제어를 통한 단순한 전압제어가 장점이다. 최근, 전자부하들의 넓은 입력전압 범위와 시스템 효율성 등을 고려해 DC/DC 컨버터 없는 영구자석 발전기가 추천된다.

A UHF CMOS Variable Gain LNA with Wideband Input Impedance Matching and GSM Interoperability

  • A UHF CMOS variable gain low-noise amplifier (LNA) is designed for mobile digital TV tuners. The proposed LNA adopts a feedback topology to cover a wide frequency range from 474 to 868 MHz, and it supports the notch filter function for the interoperability with the GSM terminal. In order to handle harmonic distortion by strong interferers, the gain of the proposed LNA is step-controlled while keeping almost the same input impedance. The proposed LNA is implemented in a $0.11{\mu}m$ CMOS process and consumes 6 mA at a 1.5 V supply voltage. In the measurement, it shows the power gain of greater than 16 dB, NF of less than 1.7 dB, and IIP3 of greater than -1.7 dBm for the UHF band.

Single-Phase Bridgeless Zeta PFC Converter with Reduced Conduction Losses

  • This paper presents a new single phase front-end ac-dc bridgeless power factor correction (PFC) rectifier topology. The proposed converter achieves a high efficiency over a wide range of input and output voltages, a high power factor, low line current harmonics and both step up and step down voltage conversions. This topology is based on a non-inverting buck-boost (Zeta) converter. In this approach, the input diode bridge is removed and a maximum of one diode conducts in a complete switching period. This reduces the conduction losses and the thermal stresses on the switches when compare to existing PFC topologies. Inherent power factor correction is achieved by operating the converter in the discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) which leads to a simplified control circuit. The characteristics of the proposed design, principles of operation, steady state operation analysis, and control structure are described in this paper. An experimental prototype has been built to demonstrate the feasibility of the new converter. Simulation and experimental results are provided to verify the improved power quality at the AC mains and the lower conduction losses of the converter.

완전평형 전류 적분기를 이용한 3V CMOS 연속시간 필터 설계 (Design of 3V CMOS Continuous-Time Filter Using Fully-Balanced Current Integrator)

  • 본 논문에서는 완전평형 전류 적분기를 이용하여 저전압 구동이 가능하고 고주파수 응용이 가능한 연속시간 필터를 설계하였다. 적분기 회로의 평형 구조 특성 때문에 짝수 차수의 고조파 성분들이 제거되고, 입력 신호 범위가 2배가되어 제안된 필터는 개선된 잡음 특성과 넓은 동적범위를 갖는다. 또한 상보형 전류미러를 이용하기 때문에 바이어스 회로가 간단하고 필터의 차단주파수는 단일 바이어스 전류원에 의해 간단히 제어할 수 있다. 설계의 예로 3차 버터워스 저역통과 필터를 개구리도약법으로 구현하였고, 제안된 완전평형 전류모드 필터는 0.65㎛ CMOS n-well 공정 파라미터를 이용하여 SPICE 시뮬레이션한 후 필터의 특성을 검토하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 3V의 공급 전압에서 50㎒의 차단주파수, 1%의 THD에서 69㏈의 동적 범위를 갖고, 전력소모는 4㎽이다.

A Study on Driving Simulation and Efficiency Maps with Nonlinear IPMSM Datasets

  • Hybrid electric vehicles have attracted much attention of late, emphasizing the necessity of developing traction motors with a high input current and a wide speed range. Among such traction motors, various researches have been conducted on interior permanent-magnet synchronous motors (IPMSMs) with high power density and mechanical solidity. Due to the complexity of its parameters, however, with nonlinear motor characteristics and current vector control, it is actually difficult to accurately estimate the base speed within an actual operating speed range or a voltage limit. Moreover, it is impossible to construct an efficiency map as the efficiency differs according to the control mode. In this study, a simulation method for operation performance considering the nonlinearity of IPMSM was proposed. For this, datasets of various nonlinear parameters were made via the finite-element method and interpolation. Maximum torque-per-ampere and flux-weakening control were accurately simulated using the datasets, and an IPMSM efficiency map was accurately constructed based on the simulation. Lastly, the validity of the simulation was verified through tests.
