ATM망의 비연결형 서버를 위한 고속 CAM ASIC 설계 (ASIC design of high speed CAM for connectionless server of ATM network)

  • Because streaming mode connection server suitable to wide area ATM networks performs transmission, reception and lookup with time restriction for the transmission time of a cell, it has demerits of large cell loss incase that burst traffic occurs. Therefore, in this paper to decrease cell loss we propose a high speed CAM (Content Addressable Memory) which is capable of processing data of streaming mode connections server at a high speed. the proposed CAM is applied to forwarding table VPC map which performs function to output connection numbers about input VPI(Virtual Path Identifier)/VCI(Virtual Channel Identifier). The designed high speed CAM consist of DBL(Dual Bit Line) CAM structure performed independently write operation and match operation and two-port SRAM structure. Also, its simulation verification and full-custom layout is performed by Hspice and Composs tools in 0.8 .$\mu$m design rule.

Ionospheric Modeling at North-East Asia using IGS sites

  • One of the major sources of error in precise GPS positioning since the turn-off the Selective Availability(SA) is the ionospheric propagation delay. For the last decades, a lot of the ionospheric researches based on a GPS network have been implemented throughout the world. Especially researches of the ionospheric modeling for Wide Area Argumentation System(WAAS) have been undertaken and published. In mid-latitude regions, typical spatial and temporal variations in ionospheric models delay tend to minimal. The developed ionospheric model calls for a 1.25 degree grid at latitudes and a 2.5 degree grid at longitudes. The precise grid TEC estimated by the inversion technique is also compared with global ionosphere maps(GIMs) which have been provided by several analysis centers(ACs). The results of initial investigations into the suitability of the proposed ionospheric modeling scheme in north-east Asia are presented.

  • 클러스터 파일 시스템은 데이터 입출력 대역폭을 극대화하여 효율성을 높이고 각 노드의 입출력 부담을 균등하게 부과하기 위하여 원본 파일을 여러 노드에 분산 저장한다. 이렇게 파일을 노드들에 분산 저장하기 위해서는 효율적인 노드간 데이터 통신을 필요로 하며, 노드 내부에서도 클러스터 파일 시스템과 어플리케이션과의 효율적인 전용 데이터 교환 메커니즘을 지원해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 WAN(Wide Area Network)에 적합하도록 설계된 TCP를 이용한 기존의 교환 메커니즘인 통신모듈이 가지고 있는 문제점을 해결하기 위해 다양한 프로토콜과 하드웨어적인 접근을 통해 Myrinet이 초고속 통신모듈에 적합함을 보이고 GM API를 활용하여 기존의 소켓기반인 TCP/IP를 이용한 통신 모듈을 대처할 새로운 통신모듈의 모델을 제시한다.

  • In this paper, multi-functional measurement module for RTD and 4-20mA Analog input is presented. As you know, In many industry field, RTD has been used for measuring a temperature. Although It have good properties such as wide measurement range, accuracy, the hardware or software compensation methods were applied to better linearity in many applications. According to this paper, a simply approximation method and various measuring technique are proposed to compensate large lead's resistance influence in RTD temperature measurements. As the experiment and simulation results, it is proved that the proposed method has good performance of measuring temperature. Additionally, with the CAN based communication, remote monitoring and parameter setting functions are realized.

  • In this paper, a conflict-avoided resource reservation scheme for UWB (Ultra Wide Band) WPAN (Wireless Personal Area Network) with D-MAC (Distributed Medium Access Control) is proposed. Since distributed characteristic of the WiMedia D-MAC supporting DRP (Distributed Reservation Protocol) scheme may cause lots of conflicts, overall performances of the WiMedia D-MAC can be deteriorated. In addition, once a DRP conflict occurs, only one of the DRP reservations involved in that DRP conflict maintains the reserved MASs, while the other DRP reservation must be terminated and DRP negotiations for them have to be re-started. Such DRP termination and renegotiation time delays due to the DRP conflicts can be a critical problem to the mobile devices transceiving real-time QoS traffic streams. Therefore, we propose a mechanism to avoid DRP conflicts by providing a kind of path diversity using relay transmission scheme and demonstrate its performance improvements via simulation results.

DoS Attack Control Design of IoT System for 5G Era

  • The Internet of Things (IoT) is a form of the emerging 4th industry in the 5G era. IoT is expected to develop naturally in our daily life in the 5G era in which high-speed communication will be completed. Along with the rise of IoT, concerns about security and malicious attacks are also increasing. This paper examines DoS attacks, which are one of the representative security threats of IoT and proposes a local detection and blocking system that are suitable for response to such attacks. First, systems of the LoRaWAN type, which are most actively researched in the IoT system field and DoS attacks that can occur in such systems were examined. Then, the inverse order tree algorithm using regional characteristics was designed as a cluster analysis form. Finally, a system capable of defending denial-of-service attacks in the 5G IoT system using local detection and blocking with the Euclidean distance was designed.

배전자동화 시스템에 IEC 61850 적용 방안 (IEC 61850 Application in Distribution Automation System)

  • In this paper, problems and solutions are proposed for applying IEC 61850 to Distribution Automation System(DAS). Communication protocol integration in power automation system have issued by IEC standards, IEC 61850 of them has researched for applying IEC 61850 to many areas of power system in spite of that it was made for substation automation system. Especially, DAS is just about to apply IEC 61850 by communication network change from serial to ethernet although DNP 3.0 is used. But it's impossible to apply directly IEC 61850 to DAS by difference of environment which unfixed wide area and separated nodes in power distribution system unlike concept of IEC 61850 is made by Substation Automation System(SAS) environment of limited space. Thus, this paper proposed applications of three types which conceptual, practical, and future to consider problems and solutions when apply IEC 61850 to Ethernet based DAS.

AN APPROXIMATION SCHEME FOR A GEOMETRICAL NP-HARD PROBLEM

  • In some wireless sensor networks, the sensor nodes are required to be located sparsely at designated positions over a wide area, introducing the problem of adding minimum number of relay nodes to interconnect the sensor nodes. The problem finds its a bstract form in literature: the Minimum number of Steiner Points. Since it is known to be NP-hard, this paper proposes an approximation scheme to estimate the minimum number of relay nodes through the properties of the abstract form. Note that by reducing the numb er of nodes in a sensor network, the amount of data exchange over the net will be far decreased.

  • LoRaWan(Long Range Wide Area Network)은 저전력, 장거리 특성을 가진 무선 통신기술로 그 특성상 스마트 시티(Smart City), IoT(Internet of Things) 등에 각광받고 있다. 또한 LoRaWan은 Chirp 신호 특성에 의해 실외 삼각측량에 따른 사용자 위치 추정 기술을 제공한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 LoRaWan의 특성에 더해 Wi-Fi 지문 정보를 활용하여 위치 추정 정확도를 개선하고 또한 이웃 Wi-Fi 단말들, 가령 스마트폰 등의 위치 정보를 LoraWan 게이트웨이와 통신하여 최종적으로 서버에서 측위 할 수 있는 시스템을 제안한다.
