A study on indigenous diatoms was carried out at 49 sites from November 2008 to December 2012 in the marine and brackish plankton and benthic ecosystem in Korea. The structure of small-sized pennate diatoms was examined by means of light and scanning electron microscopy. Twenty species of diatoms were newly identified and divided into five orders, 18 families, and nine genera in this study. The nomenclature, references, specimens examined, specimen descriptions, photographs, and distribution profiles are reported here. The newly reported pennate diatoms imply several reasons why these taxa have not been recorded previously in Korea and we present the strategy to understand the diversity of diatoms in Korea.

Advances and controversies of skin cancer prevention in the Asian-Pacific region are to be examined in the world's first Global Controversies and Advances in Skin Cancer Conference to be held in Brisbane, Australia this November. APOCP Members are cordially invited to register early for the opportunity to contribute to the debate on a cancer which continues to be a prominent issue in the Asia Pacific and indeed worldwide. We need answers to the questions of why a cancer that is so preventable and easily detectable is still shrouded in controversy. Primary focuses will be on issues like viral involvement, vaccines and novel clinical approaches.

Unlike the extrinsic Modern Functionalist, Louis I. Kahn, a modern American architect, had been pursued intrinsic architectural nature based on historicity; The Essence of Architecture, during his lifetime. That is the reason why he is generally called as one of frontiers toward Post-Modern Architecture. However, the actual meaning of his 'The Essence of Architecture' is so vague and unclear until today, because not only his complex personal thought and career but various and subjective interpretation by so many later architects and architectural theorists. In the context, this paper attempt to reanalyze and clarify Kahn's idea of 'The Essence of Architecture' with the deep and objective view of aesthetics focused on a distinguished contemporary German philosopher, N. Hartman's idea of phenomenological relation and the stratified structure of a work of art.

The purpose of this paper is to study comparative of dynamic instability characteristic of Geiger-typed cable dome structures by load condition, which is well-known among the cable dome structures that are the lightweight hybrid structure using compression and tension element continuously. Dynamic buckling process in the phase plane is very important thing for understanding why unstable phenomena are sensitively originated in nonlinear dynamic by various initial conditions. But there is no paper for the dynamic instability of hybrid cable dome by Sinusoidal Excitations, many papers which deal with the dynamic instability for shell-structures under the step load have been published. As a result of Geiger-typed cable dome, which shows chaotic behavior in dynamic nonlinear analysis with initial imperfection.

Most of monitoring systems in logistics industry have limitations on monitoring container information in real-time. And customers only could check information gathered from certain points through web browser. That is why it is very hard to take actions in advance when emergency situation has happened. But if customers could check information such as position and status of freight in real-time through their mobile devices, they could take prompt actions. So, in this study, mobile application based on mobile devices is developed to monitor position and status information of the container in real-time. Entire devices monitoring container in aspect of logistics security are handled by workers in the field. So it is strongly required to develop monitoring system operated in mobile devices. For that reason this study aims to develop mobile application in order to monitor information related to container security and safety in real-time.

Most people do not think seriously about the concept of time management, just to spend the precious time sheets. Regular life can sustain mental and physical health. That's why time management is an important factor in living. In the thesis, smart alarm patch is designed using a wireless communication NFC technology that gradually develop and attract attention. Due to the alarm, regular hours is helped to improve the quality of life. For this, analysis was performed using the UML in this system, linked to the smart alarm system patches and NFC technology, Java Script language, Adobe Muse CC was used embody web document and mobile content.

Travelling vehicles on roads may slip or overturn due to strong cross wind. This paper presents the path deviation equation and the overturning equation of vehicle, and the process of evaluating the cross wind risk. Case studies for cars and trucks are carried out. It explains the mechanism why the deviation occurs according to the types of vehicles. It shall help to prepare the measures for reducing the risk of travelling vehicles in high wind speeds.

In this study, we present methods of coupling a commercial code, ANSYS CFX, and the user Fortran codes for solving an unsteady electro-osmotic flow around a pair of electrodes, receiving DC, attached to the top and the bottom walls of a two-dimensional cavity. We developed a module of Fortran programs for solving the ion-transport equations as well as the Poisson equations for the potential to be used in coupling with the CFX. We present how the developed codes are applied to solving the transient DC electro-osmotic flow problem within a simple cavity. We also address various problems encountered during the development process and explain why such problems are raised.

This study examines the seller's liability to transfer the property to the buyer. Even though contracting parties choose CISG as the governing law regulating their obligations and rights by means of their contract, CISG does not concern with the effect generated by the transfer of property. Thus, the issues of the property is settled in conformity with the domestic law applicable by virtue of the rules of private international law. By considering the general rules of the transfer of property in goods under SGA and KCC as the lex rei sitae, the difference of requirements to pass the property between them is analyzed and then the reasons why the transfer of property is importantly considered are discussed. In addition, as CISG does not exclude completely the matters concerning the property and provides the provision like Art 41, the seller's liability to deliver goods free from the third party right or claim is examined under Art 41. Lastly, the practical advice is suggested.
