The (affine) development of a smooth curve in a smooth manifold M with respect to an arbitrarily given affine connection in the bundle of affine frames over M is well known (cf. S.Kobayashi and K.Nomizu, Foundations of Differential Geometry, Vol.1). In this paper, we get the generalized affine development of a smooth curve $x_t$ ($t{\in}[0,1]$) in M into the affine tangent space at $x_0$ (${\in}M$) with respect to a given generalized affine connection in the bundle of affine frames over M.

Since The Korean Reliability Society had been founded in 1999, development history of reliability engineering in Korea is reviewed and research outputs and papers from 2008 to current are analyzed in terms of types of industry, product life cycle, hardware vs software, and theory vs application. The purpose of this research is to review the recent reliability engineering research conducted in Korea including development history as well as published papers to identify the weakness and/or deficiencies in order to suggest the future research directions, which would contribute the development of industries in Korea.

Although LCD market has been divided so far into high-end market with S-IPS & SPVA and low-en market with TN mode, TN MNT has been striving towards bigger share in large and high-resolution wide display market as well. LG.Philips LCD has developed 20.1 inch and 22.0 inch WSXGA+ wide monitor mainly focusing on the low cost based on high brightness, fast R/T, high color gamut and wide viewing angle.

The Government is making every effort to improve the quality of statistics as well as the statistical system as a part in the sixth Five-year Economic and Social Development Plan which started from 1987. The purpose of this paper is to introduce the development of a new Lesson Video-Case Lab (LVCL) program in Suzhou, China. This program involves the creation of several series of hypermedia video-cases on teaching and learning designed to facilitate mathematics teachers' professional development. Each of these video-cases consists of lesson clips, case questions, interviews with experts, comments by peers, responses by students and other related resources. The study has implications pertaining to the use of technology in teacher development, the production of hypermedia video-cases, as well as research on case-based pedagogy and pedagogy in general.

Along the developmental processes in higher plants, chloroplast follows a major route of development which is proplastid - etioplast - chloroplast. Development of chloroplast can be determined according to the expressions of the genes coded in the chloroplast DNA as well as in the chromosomal DNA. Most of the processes occuring in proplastid and etioplast seems to be coded in the chromosomal DNA, which the development of chloroplast from etioplast upon the exposure of plants to light is determined by harmonious expressions of the genes in the chloroplast and the chromosome.

In order to serve effective teaching and teaming environments with an appropriate harmony of hard technologies and soft technologies and to contribute to multimedia contents design and development this study shows that the theoretical backgrounds, producing backgrounds, contents scenario, and related research as well as their use and integration into realistic classroom. In our environments, it is believed that it is possible for us to develop effective mathematics educational multimedia development fitting to our culture and emotion. Thus it is urged that the government should support the professional multimedia development ＆ production association enthusiastically.

Heat shock protein (HSP) is one of cellular protein commonly present in major periodontopathogenic bacteria as well as mammalian cells. The protein may play a role in the immunopathogenesis by modulating autoimmune reaction due to its high level of sequence homology between bacteria and human counterpart. Hence, identifying immunodomiant epitope of bacteria HSP that is cross-reactive to periodontopathogenic bacteria with a specificity to human HSP may comprise a critical strategy for development of a periodontal vaccine. The present study was performed to establish clones producing monoclonal antibody reactive to Porphyromonas gingivalis (p. gingivalis) HSP with a specificity to human HSP. 4 different hybridomas were cloned producing monoclonal IgG antibodies to P, gingivalis HSP and evaluated for their reactivity and specificity to other periodontopathogenic bacteria as well as to human HSP. These four monoclonal antibodies reacted with p. gingivalis HSP only with specificities to other bacteria tested and human HSP as well. The antigenic epitopes producing the 4 monoclonal antibody may be potentially developed as vaccine candidates. Further investigations are under way to identify more clones producing monoclonal antibodies reactive to P, gingivalis HSP and to other periodontopathogenic bacteria as well, while maintaining specificities to human counterpart.

This research surveyed middle aged men, who were from the 'baby boomer generation' and worked for large corporations in Seoul, Busan, Ulsan, Cheonan, Yeoju, Sugi, Suwon and Daejon. A total of 166 subjects were included in the final analysis. The major findings were as follows: first, most participants worked in administrative management and were professionals with high educational levels and incomes. Second, the middle aged men were found to enjoy high psychological well-being when they had high ego-resilience, when they had high satisfaction with fatherhood, when they expressed themselves more(emotional expression), when they had higher job satisfaction, and when they had experienced less of a burden in supporting their parents. Marital satisfaction did not affect their psychological well-being.

Reviewing the meaning aid task of balance of regional development, this papa examines the causes of the underdevelopment of rural areas in relation to the urbanization process, probes the concept, principle and necessity of rural community development, and suggests the policy tasks for rural community development in the perspective of regionally balanced development. Since 1960's, Korea has pursued a growth-oriented economic policy. The focus on the aggregated growth, however, has resulted bo invite some regional disparity problems. In the process of development, regional disparity problems were quite a large rural areas compared with urban areas relatively. The under-development of rural areas is deeply correlated with the overcrowding (or overconcentration) phenomena of urban(or metropolitan) areas. The urban-biased policy is the primary cause of the deepening regional imbalance structure between urban and rural areas. The inter-regions equitable and well-balanced development is one of the national policy issues by which the government is confronted, since the issue is closely related with national quality of life. Main three policy tasks for rural community development were 'the new paradigm of development policy' , 'local-oriented policy' and 'human-oriented policy'.
