A Study on the Planning of the Public Facilities in the Rural Community - Focused on the Community Welfare Center - (농촌마을 공동시설의 계획방안에 관한 연구 - 마을복지회관을 중심으로 -)

  • This study is about the physical aspects and residents' perception for the public facilities in rural community through field investigation and interview. The purpose of this study is to present the planning of the public facilities in a rural community by field surveys and questionnaires. According to the results of the study, first, public facilities are necessary in a rural community to satisfy a variety of functions and the inhabitants' needs. Second, a community welfare center should consist of the facilities for inhabitants. Third, a community welfare center should establish sustainability, accessibility and identity to keep the main direction of planning.

  • This study focused on 'The Health' which should considered as a precondition for the local residents by reinvestigating the indicators of happiness after Young-Do ward formulate a community social welfare plan. There is purpose of this study as below. I searched an general attribute and the indicators of happiness, then looked how does results from questions about health and factors of the indicators of happiness can affects the health with some kinds of elements. Five hundred people from the inhabitants of Young-Do ward who is living in Young-Do district were separated by using the random sampling method as the subject of the study. The investigation took effect from October to November of 2010 and an investigator visited the inhabitants of a ward with structured questionnaire. An investigator had one-on-one talk with inhabitants of Young-Do ward while the investigation and I also collected the data through self-administered questionnaire as well. I found the physical elements influence in the health much more than the outside factors from the study. Higher satisfaction of their career, relationship between friends and co-workers, work environment and married life reflects the fact that higher self-contentment means high quality health level.

Comparative Study of Inhabitants' Life Satisfaction in Senior Cohousing Communities between Sweden and Denmark (스웨덴과 덴마크 노인용 코하우징 주민의 생활만족도 비교)

  • There is an increasing curiosity in Nordic as well as Far East Asian countries about senior cohousing, where the middle-aged and elderly people, 55+. form a community for independent living. What are the ideas behind senior cohousins? Why are people moving to senior cohousing community? What may senior cohousing provide and mean for individuals and groups of the elderly? Is senior cohousing a sustainable idea for future generations of elderly people? There is a curiosity among elderly people looking for interesting alternatives. Municipalities and state authorities hope that senior cohousing can contribute to the welfare of the elderly as the scope far support by the public sector is decreasing. Actors in the building sector are interested In investment and meeting the demands. In Denmark and Sweden the senior cohousing concept had a revival around 1985. In Denmark there has been a vivid discussion and plenty of books have been published. In Sweden there are few evaluations but an increasing interest. From different points of view, Danish, Swedish and Nordic as well as Far East Asian countries, there is a concern to explore and compare to get more facts and deeper understanding far further actions. This is a comparative study of inhabitants' life satisfaction in cohousing communities in Denmark and Sweden. The study is based on discussions with cohousing providers, study-visits in cohousing communities and a questionnaire to residents themselves. Study-visits took place during springtime and the questionnaires were handled spring and summer of 2002. 655 seniors responded to the questionnaire from 14 seniorbofae llesskaber (rented or housing cooperatives) in Denmark, 11 seniorhus within the SABO sector (municipality owned housing with rental apartments) and 8 housing cooperatives initiated by the Seniorgarden Housing Company in Sweden. Data were analyzed by SPSS program, using frequency, percentage, cross-tab and chi-square test. This paper focused three major areas of interest; 1)characteristics of the inhabitants. 2) participation in common activities and mutual cooperation among residents and 3) evaluative outcomes from the inhabitants' points of view. Mainly the inhabitants expressed quite positive experiences of their living environment and everyday lift and a few difference was found in life satisfaction between Denmark and Sweden.

  • This research investigated the public rental houses In Yangchon-gu, whose locational attribute are suitable for the public rental house and has superior position in both inhabitants' participation and public welfare program. The public rental house has several types, such as permanent lease house, public lease. And several programs, the aged support police and medical services delivery system, have been the leading models for other local governments. Also, there are residents who are in their forties and fifties in the public rental houses in Yangchon-gu. un occupied is less than 1% and it seems that there is few turnover rate. 1 household rate and 2 households rate look like similar in the number of family member, total social public welfare program is focus on family welfare, juvenile welfare, teenager welfare, handicapped person welfare local, welfare and old people welfare. Accordingly, this research is used for base data of questionnaire and the first data for grope various improvement while planning group public rental house for low income group. And this research will be improved directional grope for improve livable public rental house around residents.

  • The purpose of is study deals with the physical therapy and the delivery system of public health center, as a center, in community based rehabilitation and delivery system. We hope that the system of physical therapy of public health center in community based rehabilitation spreads all over the country and contributes to the promotion of national health and social welfare. There are many public health center in the country because it can serve inhabitants with the medical benefits in the Erst line. public health center continuously provides poor inhabitants who cant pay medical expenses care of health. It has the public health center branches that take care of inhabitants who live a remote village and hiterland. Additionally, many people want to receive physical therapy. Therefore, the physical therapy of public health center becomes the central paint in community based rehabilitation so that we supply the inhabitants with superior rehabilitation service. We can approach them as a team that be constituted with physical therapist speech therapist, psychologist, nurse, social work. Also the role of physical therapist is divided into two parts, which are home visiting part that individually takes can of patients nod public health part that takes care of patient, family, home, community. We connect with both self-governing body and the government so that we may receive government subsidies. Also, we must prepare regular school education for community based rehabilitation

Development of the Sentiment Indicators of Housing Welfare (주거복지지표 개발에 관한 연구 II - 수요자 측면의 주거복지체감지표와 지수를 중심으로 -)

  • The aim of this research is to develop the sentiment indicators of housing welfare for evaluating housing welfare policies conducted by the Korean government. The methods of this research are used by analysis of related documents, FGI (Focus Group Interview), and survey. The survey was made by experts and consumers. To analyze the survey, this research also uses confirmatory factor analysis by SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Science) program, AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) by Expert Choice program, frequency, average, percentages, Factor analysis etc. As a result of this research, selected housing welfare indicators are settled as follows: In the housing welfare aspect, 11 indicators in the department of 'Housing Satisfaction' and 11 indicators in the department of 'Community Satisfaction' (22 in total) are suggested. The indicators are 1) Water Supply and Distribution Equipment 2) Heating equipment 3) the size of the exclusive residential area 4) the number of rooms 5) Ventilation and Lighting 6) Sound Insulation (Indoor Noise) 7) Air Pollution/Odor 8) House Deposit 9) Rent Paid 10) Maintenance (Dwelling) Cost 11) The length of Occupation 12) Proximity to Welfare Facilities 13) Educational Environment 14) Convenience of Facilities (shops, hospitals etc.) 15) Convenience of Transportation and Commuting 16) Distance from Workplace 17) Landscape and Green Space (Tree, Flowers, Grass etc.) 18) Vandalism (Destruction Behavior, graffiti etc.) 19) Privacy 20) Noise in Public Places (Drinking, Loudly Talking etc.) 21) Safety from Crime 22) Safety from a Disaster. As of 2007, the housing welfare sentiment index is measured by the survey of 1,000 inhabitants in the public housing, which shows 3.51.

  • It is the developing policy of fishing village of korea that the fishermen are not to leave their fishing village by the construction of abandant and rich fishing village in the social, cultural and economic side of view. The government has promoted the project to improve the fishing and agrarian village from 1992 year, but it is not so helpful to solve the problem of the island and fishing village. Therefore, it has to improve the structure of fishing village and to develope the vital and lively fishing village, Japan had enacted the special law for the promotion of out-island which was called the law for the promotion of Ri-do isalnd, and commenced to develop the Ri-do island. The law for the promotion of Ri-do island is limited to 10 years, but it was amended 10 times and Japanese government has invested as many as budget to Ri-do isalnd during 30 years. Korean government also had enacted and enforced the special law for the promotion of out-isalnd developement referring to Japanese system. However, it is neccessary at first to improve the system that the fishing village is able to develope the fishing port in order to make higher the efficiency of investment. Moverover, the earning differentials bewteen the city and the fishing village has to decrease by the developement of transport convenience and pavement of the road of the out-isalnd and remote fishing village. Otherwise, it is requested rapidily to set up the welfare policy for the aged people because the inhabitants of fishing village become to great age, and inhabitants could be at least diagnose one time every week in the good medical facilities. The ministry of marine and fisheries has to permit the sports fishing business by the small fishing vessel in order to increase the income of inhabitants of fishing village and put a lot of the fishing reefs which are constructed to 2-3 story into the sea. And then the sports fishing business will be flourish by the small fishing vessel.

  • The ultimate goal of the local government is the owner of the residents welfare of the community. Welfare of the residents will start from the protection of life and property of the inhabitants. Much of this protective activity is a function of the police. Therefore, to be a municipal & local police that is based on the autonomy of the local conceptual prerequisites for the welfare of the population. Municipal & local police activities are activities for the local community rooted in the community that the police and to rejoin the community, municipal & local police activities taking place in the center of the area to solve the problem, but to reduce the fear of crime and disorder, crime as an expression of the efforts of the local residence themselves to improve the overall quality of life of the community as a partner recognition local residents. Municipal & local police in this case be introduced across the board in the central and local governments is careful review of the various alternatives been prepared on analysis is crucial to reduce the trial and error by providing the best alternative. priority should be to figure out exactly what the reason to introduce a municipal police. in other words, the introduction of the municipal & local police in the central and local governments, state police and municipal & local police, the ruling party and the opposition, regional self-government initiative unseen conflict between organizations and local governments are not welcomed by local residence in local time truly 'safe' and will have to face that the 'improve quality of life'.
