Objectives : The aims of this study were to identify life satisfaction of elderly living alone based on their health status and suggest measures that improve their physical, mental and oral health, which could be used in future welfare policies on the elderly. Methods : The study subjects were 307 senior citizens who lived alone and used senior citizen centers in Jeonju-si, Jeollabuk-do. Results : Life satisfaction tended to be high when the subjects had a low number of chronic diseases, no activity limitations and stress, no suicidal feelings, no tooth mobility and chewing difficulty and denture use. Conclusions : To improve life satisfaction, elderly living alone need to make effort to maintain their health however, policy programs that improve the physical, mental and oral health of the elderly need to be promoted.

The gross domestic product(GDP) measures the welfare of a nation's economy through the aggregation of products and services produced in a nation. Although GDP is a proficient measure of the magnitude of the economy, many economists, environmentalists, and citizens have recently criticized the gross domestic product. The criticism stems from the fact that this measurement of domestic product does not account for environmental degradation and resource depletion. We need to estimate the environmentally adjusted net domestic product. The gross domestic product was 913 trillion won while environmental protection expenditure was 32.9 trillion won by monetary accounts of Korea, 2010. Loss of natural assets was 76.6 trillion emwon by emergy analysis of Korea, 2010. The Green GDP was accounted for 88.0% of the GDP to 803.5 trillion won.

This study investigated institutionalized children's behavior problems depending on their family networks. Subjects were 250 institutionalized children in 15 child-welfare facilities in Seoul(132 preschooler, 55 first and 63 second grade children; 144 boys and 106 girls). Data were analyzed with t-test, ANOVA, and Duncan test. Measures of behavior problems included internalizing (anxiety, immaturity, withdrawal, physical symptom) and externalizing behavior problems (hyperactivity, aggression). Results showed that institutionalized children having parents were higher in internalizing problems than children not having parents, while children living with siblings in the facilities were lower in externalizing problems than children living without siblings. Furthermore, institutionalized children having parents and living without siblings were higher in both internalizing and externalizing problems than children not having parents and living with siblings.

본 논문에서는 스마트 정보화시대에 장애인을 위한 스마트 기기의 접근성 준수 현황을 조사하고 개선방안을 제시하는 것이다. 현재 가장 많이 사용하고 있는 스마트 기기 운영체제(IOS, Android, Windows)기반의 스마트 기기의 시각, 청각, 지체장애인 접근성 제공 현황을 조사하고 비교분석을 통해 개선방안을 도출하여 장애인의 스마트 기기의 접근성 개선방안을 제시하였다.

Article 347 of criminal law provides the act of deceiving another, thereby taking property or obtaining pecuniary advantage from another. On the other hand, the concepts of fraud and abuse are confused upon interpretation since the definition in National Healthcare Insurance Law is unclear, and it affects closely to the administrative measures such as surcharge levy by the period of inspection, therefore, the disputes continue in the forms of formal objection, administrative ruling and administrative litigation. This study aims to look over the legal problems on application of criminal fraud toward the abuse of 'Paid Medical Expenses(Article 57, Sections 1 and 4 of the National Health Insurance Act)'. The main issues are concept of abuse(Article 57, Sections 1 and 4 of the National Health Insurance Act), the problems of Directions of Health-Welfare Ministry on aspect of 'Nullum crimen sine lege' Principles, the proper sentenc-ing guidelines of fraud.

This study investigated early school adjustment of institutionalized children. Subjects were 118 primary school children in 15 child-welfare facilities in Seoul(56 first and 62 second grade children; 66 boys and 52 girls). Data were analyzed with t-test, ANOVA, and Duncan test. Measures of school adjustment included relationships with leachers, relationships with peers, attitudes on school atmosphere, and observance of school regulation. Results showed that institutionalized children had the highest scores in relationships with teachers, but lowest scores in relationships with peers. Institutionalized children who perceived economic problem as the cause of entering institution showed lower adjustment scores in relationships with peers. There was no significant difference in school adjustment depending on sex, but a significant difference in altitudes on school atmosphere depending on grade.

This study analysed national data of manpower supply for physical therapists in Korea. Based on the comparative analysis results of the future demand and supply, as of May 1998, it is estimated that there was already an oversupply of physical therapists in Korea. This oversupply is expected to continue even though there would be an increase in hospital beds, rehabilitation facilities for the elderly, and nursing homes. Thus it would be desirable to cut down the number of students admitted to physical therapy schools each year. Our estimation shows that the Ministry of Health and Welfare must take measures to reduce the supply of physical therapist as soon as possible.

The purpose of this study is to explore the research and development(R&D) programs for effectively response of population aging. We analyzed of aging-related R&D support status by National Science and Technology Information Services(NTIS) and reviewed of foreign aging-related R&D programs. It was found that the overall lack of support systems, the R&D support status for Korea's aging society is very low performance and the difference appears in the annual support status, etc. It is very important to enhance the effectiveness of R&D programs in order to effectively prepare for aging society. I suggested support measures of the R&D for aging society by survey research. The result of this study will help in planning of the R&D for aging society and contribute to increasing of welfare for the aged.

스마트 폰과 개인 휴대정보 단말기와 같은 장치는 일상생활에서 중요한 역할을 담당한다. 본 논문에서는 물리적 활동의 모니터링을 위해 신호벡터크기(signal vector magnitude)와 적응적인 임계값 처리에 기반한 걸음수 검출 알고리즘을 제안한다. 알고리즘은 스마트 폰에 내장된 가속도 센서와 중력 센서를 사용하여 걸음수를 측정한다. 실험결과 제안한 알고리즘이 스마트 폰의 어플에 비해 정확도와 적응성에서 좋은 성능을 나타내었다.

Poverty directly affects health and well-being, The poor population has a higher rate of chronics illness. higher infant morbidity and motality rates. shorter life expectancy. more complex health problems. and greater physical limitations resulting from chronic disease. In order to activate primary health care for the poverty in urban area the following measures should be taken : 1. Health center must be expended or establish subhealth center. 2. Health center must monitor neighbour's workplace's health management for their working population. 3. Health centers must do active home visiting nursing care for the urban-poor. 4. Health center must carry out flexible problem-centered practice according to the area. 5. For the urban-poor's health care must have organization of the health center & practice according to community's characteristics. 6. Public health care must be closely connected with welfare. 7. For the health care of the urban-poor must demand active community participation. 8. Health center is closely connected with Community hospital. 9. Active management of public health resource system is demanded.
