무인기용 레큐퍼레이터 소재의 용접부에 대한 고온 피로수명 예측 (High Temperature Fatigue Life Prediction for Welded Joints of Recuperator Material for UAV)

  • 본 논문은 경량 및 고효율 레큐퍼레이터를 구성하는 0.1 mm 이하의 두께를 지닌 전열판의 용접부에 대한 실험적 연구이다. 특히 해당 용접부에 대한 수명을 알아내기 위해 고온환경에서 피로특성을 실험을 통하여 알아내기로 하였다. 실험은 레큐퍼레이터의 소재로 주로 선정되는 두가지 재질에 대해 (STS347, AL20-25+nb) 실시하였으며, 시편은 실제 제작에 사용되는 방법과 ASTM에서 권고하는 규격을 준용하여 제작하였다. 그리고 상온과 고온에서 해당 시료의 기계적 특성을 평가하고자, 기계적 물성치를 시험하는 MTS-810 과 고온환경을 부여하기 위한 고온로를 이용하였다. 시험은 각 시편에 대해 상온 및 고온 환경에서 인장시험을 실시하였으며, 나타난 인장강도의 50%, 40%, 30%, 20% 그리고 10% 에 해당하는 하중을 응력비 0.1로 설정하여 피로시험을 시행하였다. 마지막으로 실험을 통해 나타난 피로수명 특성을 레큐퍼레이터의 운전조건에서 발생하는 하중에 따르는 응력과 비교하여 무인기 시스템이 요구하는 운전시간에 대비하여 해당 용접부들의 수명을 평가하였다.

다이어프램형 방식의 파일럿 액추에이터 개발 (Development of a diaphragm type actuator)

  • 액체로켓 엔진용 개폐밸브는 파일럿 공압으로 포핏을 열고 스프링 힘에 의해 닫음으로써 로켓엔진의 추진제 유량을 제어한다. 현재 개발 중인 엔진용 개폐밸브는 다이어프램 액추에이터에서 압력을 제거하면 닫히도록 설계되어 있다. 다이어프램을 설계하고 개발하기 위해 밸브가 열리고 닫히는 특성에 따라 수명을 분석할 필요가 있다. 밸브가 닫히기 시작하는 시점의 작동 유체의 압력을 결정하고, 포핏이 열리는 시점의 압력을 결정되어 힘평형이 설계되어 있다. 수명시험은 상온 유동에서 다이어프램부의 크랙에 의한 누설은 용접 부위에서 발생했다. 다이어프램 액추에이터의 작동 수명은 헬륨 파일럿 압력의 22 MPa 시험에서 61회이다.

구강 환경에서 사용된 자성 Dyna 어태치먼트의 부식현상 (CORROSION PHENOMENA OF MAGNETIC ATTACHMENT USED IN ORAL ENVIRONMENT)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate further the mechanics of failure of magnets used for denture retention. Dyna magnets were retrived from denture that had failed after 34 months of clinical use. The magnets were observed and sectioned in order to analyse with high resolution scanning electron microscope. From this study, corrosion behaviors of used magnetic attachment were analysed. The results were as follows ; 1. In Nd-Fe-B based magnetic materials, the erosion-corrosion was started at ununiformed part of stainless steel cover. 2. Corrosion was initiated at weared stainless steel surface and then magnetic materials were spalled by corrosive solution. 3. Spatting was occurred in Nd-Fe-B magnet materials due to corrosion products and then corrosion rate was increased drastically. 4. Corrosion started from ununiformed stainless steel surface as well as welded zone. In conclusion, the failure of magnets may occur by either breakdown of the welding or breakdown of the encapsulating material. So, it is considered that the corrosion problem of dental magnetic materials could be solved to some extent with surface treatment of dental magnetic materials.

용접 구조물의 사용중 적합성 평가를 위한 잔류응력 해석절차 개발 (Development of Residual Stress Analysis Procedure for Fitness-For-Service Assessment of Welded Structure)

  • In this study, a state of art review of existing residual stress analysis techniques and representative solutions is presented in order to develope the residual stress analysis procedure for fitness-for-service (FFS) assessment of welded structure. Critical issues associated with existing residual stress solutions and their treatments in performing FFS are discussed. It should be recognized that detailed residual stress evolution is an extremely complicated phenomenon that typically involves material-specific ther-momechanical/metallurgical response, welding process physics, and structural interactions within a component being welded. As a result, computational procedures can vary significantly from highly complicated numerical techniques intended only to elucidate a small part of the process physics to cost-effective procedures that are deemed adequate for capturing some of the important features in a final residual stress distribution. Residual stress analysis procedure for FFS purposes belongs to the latter category. With this in mind, both residual stress analysis techniques and their adequacy for FFS are assessed based on both literature data and analyses performed in this investigation.

AE에 의한 압력용기의 안전성평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Monitoring of Pressure Vessel Safety during Hydrotest by Acoustic Emission)

  • The behaviour of pressure vessel made of SS41 steel was investigated during hydrotest. AE tests were carried out for the vessels in as-manufactured, V-notched and weld-cracked state using microcomputer-based AE instrumentation. The following results were obtained: 1) In the case of source location using cylindrical program, to minimize the error of source location, the difference of max. Delta T values measured from each sensor should be kept as small as possible. 2) When crack grew, AE event rate increased continuously but AE event from the inclusions occurred intermittently, so by analyzing event rate, the source of AE could be derived. 3) From the spot welding part of supporter, many events with low energy occurred independent of Kaiser effect, which could be confirmed by analyzing energy parameter. 4) The b-value from the tensile specimen of was lower than that from normal specimen and the b-value from crack propagation was lower than that from deformation, so by analyzing peak amplitude distribution, the source mechanism could be derived from the b-value.

모바일 폰용 일체형 부품의 프로그레시브 성형공정 설계 (Progressive Process Design of Integrated Part for Mobile Phone)

  • The purpose of this work is to develop of a press forming process for mobile phone battery cover as an alternative to the current manufacturing process by laser welding. This press forming process consists of a combination of bending, side pressing and side bending operations. The dimensional error for each process was investigated by finite element(FE) analysis and the Taguchi optimization method. The spreading of the cover width in the side pressing process was adjusted by modifying the blank shape with a notch. The over-bending method was adopted to compensate the spring-back which occurs after bending. Forming experiments were performed to verify the reliability of the developed press forming process. In addition, the strength of the product was evaluated to verify the suitability of the battery cover manufactured with this new press forming process. The results of the forming experiments indicate that the dimensional accuracy of the battery cover is within the required tolerance. The strength of the battery cover was evaluated to 547N which is larger than required strength of 400N.

증육된 벽부를 가진 더블 싱크 제품의 프로그레시브 금형 설계 (Progressive Die Design for a Component of Double Sinks with Locally Thickened Wall)

  • Thickening process in sheet metal forming is being increased to improve the strength as well as to reduce manufacturing process such as welding. This process can make it possible to obtain part locally thicker than that of initial sheet thickness. In this study, design method for manufacturing the component which has double sinks with local thickened wall is proposed. Deep drawing and upsetting processes are applied in order to form double sinks and thicken its walls. Used material is SPHC440 with the thickness of 2.0mm and initial blank size is determined on the basis of the final product. Distance between the center of double sinks and first drawing ratio to avoid fracture are the most significant factors during deep drawing. FE-analysis is implemented in order to determine the appropriate values. Progressive die is designed based on the proposed method and FE-analysis. As a result of experiment, locally thickened component can be manufactured, which has double sinks with the thickness about 3mm at the corner and wall.

굴삭기 요소수 탱크 커버의 신규 모델 개발을 위한 CAE 기반 프레스 성형 공정 설계 (Stamping process design to develop a urea tank cover for excavators based on sheet metal forming analysis)

  • Recently, when a new component of construction equipment is designed, a stamping process capable of producing parts having high appearance quality and precision has been gaining attention. However, in general, as it is developed based on existing parts made by welding metal sheets and tubes, frequent to die modification occurs, which increases the time and cost of developing new parts. Thus, it is necessary to reduce the cost by shortening the die development period. In this study, a stamping process was designed for the urea tank cover, which is a part for excavators, to reduce the die development period through sheet metal forming analysis. The stamping process was designed by determining the blank holding force after selecting the initial blank shape and size. The round value at the corner was modified such that formability is ensured. After selecting process parameters, the thickness reduction rate and spring-back effect were reviewed.

  • 본 논문은 석유화학 플랜트 등의 결함을 자기자왜센서기술을 활용하여 주기적으로 검사하는 오프라인 모니터링이 가능한 'Health Monitoring System'의 개발과 그 활용성에 대해 확인하였다. 기존의 유도파 검사 방식은 용접부위 검사에는 적용할 수 없고, 일반적인 부위에서도 노이즈 및 반사파 등으로 검사의 정밀도에 한계를 갖고 있다. 본 기술은 주기적인 모니터링을 통해 결함의 진전에 따른 변위정보를 활용할 수 있음으로서, 더 정밀한 검사가 가능하기 때문에 석유화학 플랜트에서 매우 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

  • 중화학 플랜트의 고온고압 요소인 증기 발생기(steam generator)의 드럼, 헤더 및 헤더 스터브 설계에 응력해석에서 부터 도면자동작도, 제작용 서류 자동생성에 이르기까지의 제반설계과정을 체계적으로 연결시킨 설계정보 통합 관리로 단순 설계오류를 줄이고, 또한 설계변경에 대해 신속한 재설계가 가능한 효율적인 설계를 도모하기 위하여 "피로수명을 고려한 헤더스터브 형상설계 모듈", "TRD301을 기초로한 후육내압부 운전조건(기동/정지 조건) 및 수명평가 모듈", "헤더 및 드럼부 자동작도 모듈"을 개발하였다. 이에 따라 형상설계 모듈을 이용하여 설계된 스터브 형상을 토대로 수명평가 모듈로 수명을 평가한 후 상세설계 도면 및 관련 서류의 자동작도로 이어지는 일관된 종합설계 시스템을 구축하였다.
