시각센서를 이용한 용접선 자동추적시스템의 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Development of Automatic Weld-Seam Tracking System using Vision Sensor)

  • For improvement in productivity and weld quality, weld seam tracking and welding parameter control are very essential in the welding of a structure which can not be cxactly fit-up due to mismatch, discontinous gap, deflection, etc.. In this study, an automatic weld seam tracking system is developed for I-butt joint structure, and the system consists of XYZ working table, vision sensor and user interface program. In the developed vision sensor system, an image projection algorithm for weld-line detection and an adaptive current control algorithm for gap variation were implemented. The user interface program developed in this study by basing on the objct oriented concept could provide very convenient way to utilize the tracking system with the pull-down menu driven structure. The developed system showed a good seam tracking and weld quality control capability corresponding to deflected weld lines and gap variations.

  • 레일 용접부에 존재하는 각종 결함을 검출하고 이에 대해 정량적으로 평가하는 것은 구조물 전체의 건전성 및 안정성 측면에서 대단히 중요하다. 현재 용접부 내부 결함 검색을 위하여 널리 사용되고 있는 초음파 검사법은 국내 및 국외의 경우 아직 레일에 대한 뚜렷한 평가기준이 제시되어 있지 않은 상태이다. 따라서 현장에서는 탐상기를 보유하고 있어도 이를 정확하게 사용하지 못하고 탐상 결과에 대해서도 합부를 판단하지 못하는 실무자들이 대부분이다. 이에 본고에서는 실무에 있어 현장 기술자들이 알아야 할 레일 용접부의 초음파 탐상에 대하여 첫째, 현재 발주처별 적용하고 있는 국내 궤도 공사 시방서의 문제점 및 개선방향 둘째, 철도 레일 용접부의 초음파 탐상 시험의 적용 방법에 대하여 논하고자 한다.

  • Welding technique is widely applied to general industry such as pressure vessel for chemical plant, pipe system, heavy industry, and automobile. There are some points which must be considered when robot system is used in welding automation process for productivity improvement. Welding quality is governed by heat input, and this quantity can be different according to shape, property, and thick of material . For desired heat input , weld input parameters such as welding voltage, current, and welding velocity must be determined with those consideration. Until now these parameters have been determined mainly by experience of operator. In this study, the size of welding zone was predicted by fuzzy rules were constructed from the relation between welding variables and weld pool size. Inverse model method which welding control input for welder is determined with optimum voltage and current by fuzzy controller is validatied by computer simulation.

TMCP강의 습식수중 아크용접부의 냉각특성 개선에 관한 연구 (Study on Cooling Characteristic Improvement in Underwater Wet Arc Welding of TMCP Steelplate)

  • The offshore industry created a need for quality wet weld repairs. Wet welding is a fast method of repair providing sound, structural quality welds. It requires less support equipment than a similar underwater dry weld repair or the alternative mechanical connections. Compared to welds made in air, underwater wet welds are plagued by increased hardness due to rapid quenching by the surrounding water. In this paper is described the experimntal study of improving the cooling rates of wet welds of TMCP steel plate by shielding around weld arc surroundings. The principal results of this experimental investigation can be summarized as follows : By shielding around weld arc surrounding, the cooling rates resulting from wet welds on TMCP steel plate could be lower than that of nonshielded wet welds and the fesibility on high quality of mecanical properties of wet weld on TMCP steel plate was carried out with shielded weld arc surrounding.

필렛용접이음부의 후처리에 따른 피로강도 향상 메커니즘의 연구 (The Study about the Fatigue Strength Improvement Mechanism by the Processing of Fillet Welded Joint)

  • 본 연구는 필렛용접 이음으로 된 종리브 십자 시험체를 대상으로 용접토우의 후처리에 의한 피로강도 향상의 메커니즘을 밝히고, 적절한 후처리법을 제안하고자 한다. 인장피로시험 결과, 용접 그대로의 시험체 보다는 후처리된 시험체들에서 피로강도 향상이 보였다. 특히, 피로균열 발생수명 $N_c$는 해머피닝(Hammer-Peening)후 그라인더 처리를 한 시험체에서, 그리고 피로균열 진전수명 $N_p$는 해머피닝 시험체 들에서 각각 증가현상을 보였다. 여기서, $N_c$는 용접토우의 기하학적 형상, 즉 응력집중의 완화때문에, 또한 $N_p$는 해머피닝에 의해 표면에 도입된 큰 압축잔류응력이 피로균열의 진전을 억제하고 있기 때문이라고 생각된다.

  • A dynamic electrical parameter monitoring device was designed to simultaneously record the instantaneous value of voltage, current, power, and resistance during spot welding. The data obtained using this technique have been analyzed in term of the relationships of these parameters to the phenomena occuring during the formation(surface break-down, nugget formation and mechanical collapse) of spot weld. Finally, a database implementation is undertaken to develop techniques for improving weld quality of the resistance spot welder.

  • At present. welding of most pipes with large diameter is carried out by the manual process. Automation of the welding process is necessary f3r the sake of consistent weld quality and improvement in productivity. In this study, two vision sensors, based on the optical triangulation, were used to obtain the information for seam tracking and detecting the weld defects. Through utilization of the vision sensors, noises were removed, images and 3D information obtained and positions of the feature points detected. The aforementioned process provided the seam and leg position data, calculated the magnitude of the gap, fillet area and leg length and judged the weld defects by ISO 5817. Noises in the images were removed by using the gradient values of the laser stripe's coordinates and various feature points were detected by using an algorithm based on the iterative polygon approximation method. Since the process time is very important, all the aforementioned processes should be conducted during welding.

  • For the weld quality improvement and the convenient operation of machines, laser vision system can be used to track weld seams on pressure vessels. There are many bad conditions to the weld grooves such as cutting error, gap variation of weld joint, and offset error of center line caused by misalignment. We developed a laser vision seam tracking system which consists of a laser vision sensor, a two axis positioning mechanism and a user interface program running on the Windows system.   • The lightness of components required on marine and shipbuilding industry is requiring high strength of components. In particular, fatigue failure phenomena, which happen in metal, bring on danger in human life and property. Therefore, antifatigue failure technology takes an important part of current industries. In this study, it was investigated about endurance and fatigue crack propagation rate of according to stress ratio of SMAW commonly using for welding structures in present. Fatigue crack propagation rate(da/dN) of low load(R=0.1) was lower than of high load(R=0.6) for piping weld. And in stage I, ${\Delta}$Kth, the threshold stress intensity factor of the weld under heavy load is higher than under small load. Fatigue life shows more improvement in the weld of stress ratio R=0.l than in the weld of stress ratio R=0.6.

  • In this study we conduct the optimal spot-weld layout design of vehicle body structure considering dynamic stiffness and side impact. We conduct both linear static analysis and nonlinear analysis with a baseline model to verify the process. 13 design variables will be selected for the effect analysis. Then, topology optimization is conducted to each selected design variable. The design constraints are formulated to improve the dynamic stiffness and side impact performance. Objective function is to set the density of weld component. Optimal spot-weld layout design are compared with the baseline model to show the improvement.
