당량비 변화에 따른 복사 특성이 3차원 난류 연소에 미치는 영향 연구 (Study of the Radiation Effect by Equivalence ratio change on the 3-D Turbulent Combustion)

  • Radiative heat transfer is very important in many combustion systems since they are operated in high temperature. Fluid flows in most of the combustion systems are turbulent to promote fast mixing of the hydrocarbon fuel and oxidant. Major combustion products are $CO_2$ and $H_2O$. The turbulent flow is modeled by using the standard ${\kappa}-{\epsilon}$ model and the radiation transfer is modeled by using the discrete ordinates method where the radiative gas properties are calculated by using the weighted sum of gray gases model with a gray gas regrouping(WSGGM-RG). Effect of the radiation on the combustion characteristics in a three-dimensional rectangular enclosure is studied by changing the equivalence ratio. Results show that the radiation plays a significant role on the heat transfer in the combustion systems by resulting in a temperature drop of 16% as compared to that obtained without radiation. The equivalence ratio also affects the combustion by different contribution of the radiative transfer with different gas compositions.

Effect of Bias on the Pearson Chi-squared Test for Two Population Homogeneity Test

  • Categorical data collected based on complex sample design is not proper for the standard Pearson multinomial-based chi-squared test because the observations are not independent and identically distributed. This study investigates effects of bias of point estimator of population proportion and its variance estimator to the standard Pearson chi-squared test statistics when the sample is collected based on complex sampling scheme. This study examines the effect under two population homogeneity test. The standard Pearson test statistic can be partitioned into two parts; the first part is the weighted sum of ${\chi}^2_1$ with eigenvalues of design matrix as their weights, and the additional second part which is added due to the biases of the point estimator and its variance estimator. Our empirical analysis shows that even though the bias of point estimator is small, Pearson test statistic is very much inflated due to underestimate the variance of point estimator. In the connection of design-based variance estimator and its design matrix, the bigger the average of eigenvalues of design matrix is, the larger relative size of which the first component part to Pearson test statistic is taking.

웨이브렛 변환을 이용한 음성의 적응 잡음 제거 (Adaptive Noise Reduction of Speech Using Wavelet Transform)

  • 본 논문은 잡음 환경의 음성 인식을 위하여 음성에 부가된 잡음을 제거하는 방법으로 프레임 단위로 웨이브렛 변환을 하여 웨이브렛 계수의 표준편차를 이용하여 시간 적응 임계값을 정하는 새로운 방법을 제안한다. 음성의 특성을 고려하기 위하여 고주파 성분을 많이 가지는 무성음의 경우는 첫 번째 스케일의 detail 신호에서, 저주파 성분을 많이 가지는 유성음의 경우는 세 번째 스케일의 approximation 신호의 표준편차를 이용하여 시간 적응 임계값을 설정하였다 또한 제안한 방법으로 잡음을 제거한 후에도 묵음구간에 잔여 잡음이 존재하게 되므로 묵음구간을 검출하여 묵음구간의 잔여 잡음을 제거하였다 실험을 통해 제안한 방법이 일반적인 웨이브렛 변환과 웨이브렛 패킷 변환을 이용한 방법보다 SNR과 MSE측면에서 향상됨을 확인 할 수 있었다.

  • 본 연구는 다기준 의사결정 문제에서 항상 발생하는 가중치와 대안들의 평가치에 대한 불확실성을 최소화하기 위해 민감도 분석을 수행하는 절차를 제시하였다. 제기되는 가중치에 대한 불확실성을 극복하기 위해 일반적으로 순위가 뒤바뀔 수 있는 가장 민감한 평가기준의 결정과 대안의 효과 측정자료의 결정이 있다. 본 연구는 유량확보와 수질개선을 위한 수자원 계획수립을 위해가중합계법을 이용한 문제에 두 경우의 민감도분석을 모두수행하였다. 이 과정에서 결정계수와 민감도 계수를 산정하여 이용하였다. 본 연구에서 제시한 민감도 분석 과정은 향후 수자원 계획 수립에 폭넓게 활용될 수 있다.

Detection of LSB Matching Revisited Using Pixel Difference Feature

  • This paper presents a detection method for least significant bit matching revisited (LSBMR) steganography. Previous research shows that the adjacent pixels of natural images are highly correlated and the value 0 appears most frequently in pixel difference. Considering that the message embedding process of LSBMR steganography has a weighted-smoothing effect on the distribution of pixel difference, the frequency of the occurrence of value 0 in pixel difference changes most significantly whereas other values approximately remain unchanged during message embedding. By analyzing the effect of LSBMR steganography on pixel difference distribution, an equation is deduced to estimate the frequency of difference value 0 using the frequencies of difference values 1 and 2. The sum of the ratio of the estimated value to the actual value as well as the ratio of the frequency of difference value 1 to difference value 0 is used as the steganalytic detector. Experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively detect LSBMR steganography and can outperform previous proposed methods.

QoS-Guaranteed Multiuser Scheduling in MIMO Broadcast Channels

  • This paper proposes a new multiuser scheduling algorithm that can simultaneously support a variety of different quality-of-service (QoS) user groups while satisfying fairness among users in the same QoS group in MIMO broadcast channels. Toward this goal, the proposed algorithm consists of two parts: a QoS-aware fair (QF) scheduling within a QoS group and an antenna trade-off scheme between different QoS groups. The proposed QF scheduling algorithm finds a user set from a certain QoS group which can satisfy the fairness among users in terms of throughput or delay. The antenna trade-off scheme can minimize the QoS violations of a higher priority user group by trading off the number of transmit antennas allocated to different QoS groups. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed QF scheduling method satisfies different types of fairness among users and can adjust the degree of fairness among them. The antenna trade-off scheme combined with QF scheduling can improve the probability of QoS-guaranteed transmission when supporting different QoS groups.

고층건물 구조시스템의 대안평가 방안 연구 (A Study on the Alternative Evaluation of the High-rise Building Structural System)

  • 본 연구에서는 고층건물 구조시스템의 다양한 대안으로부터 이들의 성능을 합리적으로 평가하는 방안을 제안하였다. 대안평가는 업무절차에 따라 예비평가, 본평가, 실시평가로 나누어 수행된다. 대안평가를 위한 평가범주는 구조성능, 경제성, 공기의 세 가지로 구성되고, 각 평가범주는 이들을 평가하기 위한 세부 평가항목으로 구성된다. 예비평가에서는 경험지식에 의한 정성적인 평가를 수행하며, 본평가와 실시평가에서는 수치적인 결과를 바탕으로 주로 정량적인 평가를 수행한다. 평가결과의 종합화는 평가항목들간의 관계가 선형적이라는 가정하에 가중평균법을 적용하였다. 제안된 대안평가 방안은 실무예제에 대한 시뮬레이션을 통하여 그 적용성을 검토하였다.

  • The current contract awarding process regulated by laws and ordinances is analyzed and more reasonable processes are suggested. To this end, the principle of economic analysis is described with emphasis on the cost-effectiveness analysis, and the laws and ordinances regulating the process are thoroughly examined. The current contract awarding rule is based on the weighted sum of effectiveness score and cost score. This may not conform to the framework of economic analysis where effectiveness is supposed to be measured as an output and cost measured as an input. An improvement is attempted to the defense acquisition system and it is recognized that the economic analysis and policy consideration should be performed separately. Concept of statistical testing is introduced to see if the results of the cost effectiveness analyses show the significant difference between the alternatives. It is suggested that the contract awarding process can be improved by performing significance test followed by the aggregation of the two analyses. A minor improvement is also suggested on the application of current rules.

회색가스재조합을 이용한 회색가스가중합법 개발 및 3차원 복사열전달에의 적용 (Development of the WSGGM with Gray Gas Regrouping and Application to the 3-Dimensional Radiative Transfer)

  • The narrow band-averaged transmissivity of $CO_2-H_2O$ mixtures is expressed by multiplying the transmissivities of $CO_2\;and\;H_2O$. Applying the multiplication property of narrow band transmissivities for gas mixtures of $CO_2-H_2O$ of the narrow band based WSGGM (weighted sum of gray gases model), the number of gray gases, required for accurate representation of the absorption characteristics by using the narrow band based WSGGM, is significantly increased. To reduce the computational loads by reducing the number of gray gases, we propose a gray gas regrouping process where the gray gases used for .the WSGGM are regrouped into a specified number of groups according to the magnitudes of absorption coefficients. To evaluate the proposed WSGGM for gas mixtures, the radiative transfer problems through 3-dimensional gas media are considered. The radiative source terms and the radiative heat fluxes obtained by using the proposed method are fairly well compared to previous results obtained by using the SNB model and other models. The regrouping technique results in an excellent computational efficiency with minor loss of accuracy.

동적 블록수송환경을 위한 네트워크 흐름모형 기반의 트랜스포터 일정계획 (Transporter Scheduling Based on a Network Flow Model for Dynamic Block Transportation Environment)

  • This paper considers a transporter scheduling problem under dynamic block transportation environment in shipbuilding. In dynamic situations, there exist the addition, cancellation or change of block transportation requirements, sudden breakdowns and maintenance of transporters. The transportation of the blocks in the shipyard has some distinct characteristics. Some blocks are available to be picked up at a specific time during the planning horizon while some other blocks need to be delivered before a specific time. These requirements cause two penalty times: 1) delay times incurred when a block is picked up after a required start time, and 2) tardy times incurred when a block shipment is completed after the required delivery time. The blocks are located at different areas in the shipyard and transported by transporters. The objective of this paper is to propose a heuristic algorithm based on a network flow model which minimize the weighted sum of empty transporter travel times, delay times, and tardy times. Also, a rolling-horizon scheduling method is proposed for dynamic block transportation environment. The performance of the proposed heuristic algorithms are evaluated through a simulation experiment.
