CDMA 휴대전화기용 IF 표면탄성파 필터의 설계 및 제작 (Design and fabrication of IF SAW filter for CDMA cellular phone system)

  • Remez exchange algorithm was applied to realize an IF SAW filter for CDMA cellular phone systems. A SAW filter with withdrawal weighted transducers was simulated and then fabricated on 42.75.deg. ST-cut Quaritz wafer. Excellent agreement wasobtained between calculated andmeasured responses. Fabricated SAWfilterswere mounted on ceramic SMD package for reducing their size and volume. SAW filters were measured under matched circuit. As a result, 5 dB bandwidth of 1.32 MHz, 33dB bandwidth of 1.76 MHz, insertion loss of 13.8 dB and peak to peak ripple at passband of 0.26 dB were obtained. Linear group delay responses at passband were also obtained. These characteristics were good for practical use of IF SAW filter for CDMA system.

An Edge-Based Adaptive Method for Removing High-Density Impulsive Noise from an Image While Preserving Edges

  • This paper presents an algorithm for removing high-density impulsive noise that generates some serious distortions in edge regions of an image. Although many works have been presented to reduce edge distortions, these existing methods cannot sufficiently restore distorted edges in images with large amounts of impulsive noise. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a method using connected lines extracted from a binarized image, which segments an image into uniform and edge regions. For uniform regions, the existing simple adaptive median filter is applied to remove impulsive noise, and, for edge regions, a prediction filter and a line-weighted median filter using the connected lines are proposed. Simulation results show that the proposed method provides much better performance in restoring distorted edges than existing methods provide. When noise content is more than 20 percent, existing algorithms result in severe edge distortions, while the proposed algorithm can reconstruct edge regions similar to those of the original image.

  • This paper presents two algorithms based on the concept of the frequency domain adaptive filter(FDAF). First the frequency domain recursive least squares(FRLS) algorithm with the overlap-save filtering technique is introduced. This minimizes the sum of exponentially weighted square errors in the frequency domain. To eliminate discrepancies between the linear convolution and the circular convolution, the overlap-save method is utilized. Second, the sliding method of data blocks is studied Co overcome processing delays and complexity roads of the FRLS algorithm. The size of the extended data block is twice as long as the filter tap length. It is possible to slide the data block variously by the adjustable hopping index. By selecting the hopping index appropriately, we can take a trade-off between the convergence rate and the computational complexity. When the input signal is highly correlated and the length of the target FIR filter is huge, the FRLS algorithm based on the block processing technique has good performances in the convergence rate and the computational complexity.

Decentralized Moving Average Filtering with Uncertainties

  • A filtering algorithm based on the decentralized moving average Kalman filter with uncertainties is proposed in this paper. The proposed filtering algorithm presented combines the Kalman filter with the moving average strategy. A decentralized fusion algorithm with the weighted sum structure is applied to the local moving average Kalman filters (LMAKFs) of different window lengths. The proposed algorithm has a parallel structure and allows parallel processing of observations. Hence, it is more reliable than the centralized algorithm when some sensors become faulty. Moreover, the choice of the moving average strategy makes the proposed algorithm robust against linear discrete-time dynamic model uncertainties. The derivation of the error cross-covariances between the LMAKFs is the key idea of studied. The application of the proposed decentralized fusion filter to dynamic systems within a multisensor environment demonstrates its high accuracy and computational efficiency.

SAP 잡음 제거를 위한 적응적 스위칭 필터링 알고리즘 (Adaptive Switching Filtering Algorithm for SAP noise)

  • The SAP(salt-and-pepper) noise changes the pixel value to the maximum and minimum values of the dynamic region of the pixel. For this reason, unlike white Gaussian noise, SAP noise can predict the ratio of noise relatively easily. Because the condition of the neighboring pixels that can be referenced changes according to the noise ratio, it is necessary to apply different noise reduction methods according to the noise ratio. This paper proposes an adaptive switching filtering algorithm which can eliminates the SAP noise. It consists of two phases. It first detects the location of the SAP noise and calculates the noise ratio. After that, the image is reconstructed using different methods depending on which of the three sections the calculated noise ratio belongs to. As a result of the experiment, the proposed method showed superior objective and subjective image quality compared to the previous methods such as MF, AFSWMF, NAMF and RWMF.

복합잡음 환경에서 변형된 스위칭 필터를 이용한 잡음 제거 (Noise Removal using Modified Switching Filter in Mixed Noise Environments)

  • 사회가 고도의 디지털 정보화 시대로 급속히 발전함에 따라 영상 및 음성 데이터를 획득, 전송, 저장을 위한 멀티미디어 통신 서비스가 상용화 되어가고 있다. 그러나 여전히 데이터를 처리하는 과정에서 다양한 잡음에 의해 영상의 열화가 발생하고 있으며 이러한 잡음 제거에 관한 연구는 지금까지 계속되고 있다. 영상에 첨가되는 잡음에는 다양한 종류가 있으며, salt and pepper 잡음, AWGN, 복합잡음이 대표적이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 영상에 첨가된 복합잡음의 영향을 완화하기 위하여 잡음 판단 후, salt and pepper 잡음은 국부 마스크 내의 잡음 밀도에 따라 선형 보간법, 히스토그램을 이용한 가중치 필터, 메디안 필터로 처리하고, AWGN은 국부 마스크의 화소 정보를 이용하여 가중치를 설정하고 처리하는 영상복원 필터 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 그리고 객관적 판단을 위해 기존의 방법들과 비교하였으며, 판단의 기준으로 PSNR(peak signal to noise ratio)을 사용하였다.

  • 디지탈 변환과 기기간의 전송 영향으로 화질이 떨어진 디지탈 영상의 복구는 잡음 발생 및 그 역 과정의 모형화를 통해 이루어낼 수 있다. 스캐너로 읽혀진 서류 영상이나 위성 사진에서 잡음 및 반점을 제거하는 과정이 좋은 예이다. 그러나 잡음 발생의 비선형성은 그 역 과정의 이론적 이해를 어렵게한다. 본 논문에서는 충격 잡음에의해 화질이 떨어진 이진 서류 영상의 복구 방법들을 심층 분석하는 것에 촛점을 맞추었다. 본 연구 결과에 의하면 이진 서류 영상의 잡음 제거 방식으로 '가중 중앙값' 여과기와 '리' 여과기가 다른 여과기에 비해 효과적임을 보여준다. 반면 '웨이브렛' 여과 방식은 타 방식보다 100여배의 시간이 소요되어 비효율적이다. 본 논문에서는 가중 중앙값 여과기에 쓰이는 가중치에 대한 연구 결과를 제시하였다.

High Noise Density Median Filter Method for Denoising Cancer Images Using Image Processing Techniques

  • Noise is a serious issue. While sending images via electronic communication, Impulse noise, which is created by unsteady voltage, is one of the most common noises in digital communication. During the acquisition process, pictures were collected. It is possible to obtain accurate diagnosis images by removing these noises without affecting the edges and tiny features. The New Average High Noise Density Median Filter. (HNDMF) was proposed in this paper, and it operates in two steps for each pixel. Filter can decide whether the test pixels is degraded by SPN. In the first stage, a detector identifies corrupted pixels, in the second stage, an algorithm replaced by noise free processed pixel, the New average suggested Filter produced for this window. The paper examines the performance of Gaussian Filter (GF), Adaptive Median Filter (AMF), and PHDNF. In this paper the comparison of known image denoising is discussed and a new decision based weighted median filter used to remove impulse noise. Using Mean Square Error (MSE), Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR), and Structure Similarity Index Method (SSIM) metrics, the paper examines the performance of Gaussian Filter (GF), Adaptive Median Filter (AMF), and PHDNF. A detailed simulation process is performed to ensure the betterment of the presented model on the Mini-MIAS dataset. The obtained experimental values stated that the HNDMF model has reached to a better performance with the maximum picture quality. images affected by various amounts of pretend salt and paper noise, as well as speckle noise, are calculated and provided as experimental results. According to quality metrics, the HNDMF Method produces a superior result than the existing filter method. Accurately detect and replace salt and pepper noise pixel values with mean and median value in images. The proposed method is to improve the median filter with a significant change.

Terrain Slope Estimation Methods Using the Least Squares Approach for Terrain Referenced Navigation

  • This paper presents a study on terrain referenced navigation (TRN). The extended Kalman filter (EKF) is adopted as a filter method. A Jacobian matrix of measurement equations in the EKF consists of terrain slope terms, and accurate slope estimation is essential to keep filter stability. Two slope estimation methods are proposed in this study. Both methods are based on the least-squares approach. One is planar regression searching the best plane, in the least-squares sense, representing the terrain map over the region, determined by position error covariance. It is shown that the method could provide a more accurate solution than the previously developed linear regression approach, which uses lines rather than a plane in the least-squares measure. The other proposed method is weighted planar regression. Additional weights formed by Gaussian pdf are multiplied in the planar regression, to reflect the actual pdf of the position estimate of EKF. Monte Carlo simulations are conducted, to compare the performance between the previous and two proposed methods, by analyzing the filter properties of divergence probability and convergence speed. It is expected that one of the slope estimation methods could be implemented, after determining which of the filter properties is more significant at each mission.
