Most measuring devices are equipped with RS232 interface or GPIB interface for communicating with computers. If the measuring devices can be accessed by a server computer, the valuable information from the devices can be effectively shared with other computer via internet. VRML is a web based technology for specifying and delivering three-dimensional interactive visualizations over the internet through a web browser. This paper proposes a remote 3-dimensional monitoring system for digital multimeter equipped with RS232 interface by utilizing VRML.

Recently, massive amount of infonnation is provided for the internet users. So users want to search information on Internet, but it is difficult to search information what you want. In this paper, we propose a personal Web-agent system using Case-based learning, Web-Guide. Web-Guide consists of two sub-system, interface-system and learning-system. Interface-system operates other web-browser nearly the same and connects user to system. And interface-system transfer datas of current page to learning-queue. Learning-system visit and evaluate the value of each page in learning-queue using evaluation-function that gave weight values occupied by analyzing tag used the character of HTML document. After all users who are known about artificial intelligence well and not made experiments by using Web-Guide, they reached their desired sites faster than before.

In this paper, production information management systems for global manufacturing enterprises is discussed. Three basic technologies to implement the system such as networking, database, and H/W interface technology are investigated, and a web based prototype systems integrating order and production information is developed with two server computers and a educational FMS. A MMI s/w is engaged in interfacing and real-time monitoring of FMS and an intranet is used for communication between the servers and clients.

The most representative research network in Korea, KREONET has developed the NSI based NSA (Network Service Agent) technology. The developed NSA supports web service and provides services for reservation, provision, release and termination of network resource, whenever users want to utilize them. In this paper, the system blocks of the developed NSA and flows of NSI interface massage are presented firstly, Also, service test results for NSI connection reservation is given through internet communication of the web portal system to operate as the RA NSA and the NSA, Finally, it is confirmed that reservation, provision, release and termination of network resource can be established through NSI messages based on reservation information from user, between the web portal and the NSA.

This research intended to identify empirical recommendations for designing the DAISY service interface and used a case-based method. The case of this research was LG Digital Talking Book Library(http://voice.lg.or.kr) of LG Sangnam Library. A group of experts evaluated the current DAISY interface serviced by the web. After evaluation, major recommendations were suggested and these recommendations were used to develop the new DAISY Interface. Major recommendations were consideration of the reading flow of the screen-reader program, prevention of perception as an error about the time delay, development of web-based software, support for convenient functions and prevention of shortcut key overlap and so on.

The demand for Mobile Web Services has increased to overcome the issue of Mobile Application's platform dependencies and device resource's limitations. The method to improve productivity of the development and operation of the Mobile Web Services is to provide a low-coupling between Mobile Webs. In this paper, we propose the Recommendation Technique of dynamic Mobile Web integration to reduce the coupling. The Mobile Web Recommendation Technique is proposed based on XPDL.

The prototype of forest fire management system on Web was studied. In the architecture of this system, one of the most important concerns is to handle load upcoming to Web Server so that it provides Web service without any delay or failure. In order to solve this problem, the agent is designed on dispatcher in a Web server cluster and implemented to distribute load dynamically by considering the information related to load coming to the Web Server such as the number of connection to the Map Server. The proposed forest fire management system has user-friendly interface with the GIS mapping functionality by selecting Map Objects Internet Map Server (MO IMS) as Map Server and is implemented using Java as programming language.

Internet users been rapidly increased due to the convenient GUI environment. Current Web-based HTTP/CGI client/server architecture has several problems such as the CGI bottleneck, no maintaince of state, and no load balancing. However, with Java and CORBA technologies called“Object Web technology”, we can solve them because Java is not only a mobile code but also a platform-independent code, and CORBA has ability to build distributed object and language-independent object model. The goal of “Object Web technology”is to create multivendor, multiOS, multilanguage“legoware”using objects. This paper implement“Book Search System”which is Web-based client/server architecture using distributed objects. Environments of this implementation are Hangul Windows NT(included IIS) server, Hangul Windows 95 client, Visigenic's VisiBroker for Java 1.2 which is a product of CORBA 2.0, HTTP protocol on TCP-IP-based, Sybase SQL Anywhere 5.0 database server, and the interface between application server and database is JDBC-ODBC bridge middleware.

Web GIS (Geographic Information Systems) service systems provide the various GIS services of analyzing and displaying the spatial data with friendly user-interface. These services are expanding the business domain and many users want to access the distributed various spatial data. But, it is difficult to access diverse data sources because of different spatial data format and data access methods. In this paper, we design and implement web GIS services based on the inter-operability and GML (Geography Markup Language) of OGC(Open GIS Consortium) in web distributed environment. Inter-operability provides unique accessing method to distributed data sources based on OLE DB technology of Microsoft. In addition, GML support web GIS services based on XML. We design these GIS services as components using UML (Unified Modeling Language) of an object-oriented modeling language for specifying, visualizing, constructing, and documenting the artifacts of software system. In addition, they also were developed in object-oriented computing environment, and it provides the interoperability, language-independent, easy developing environment as well as re-usability.

In current knowledge-based society, various information and communication tools are used in educational fields. Especially web becomes the most popular tool. However, for the disabled, web accessibility is a still main problem to overcome. The purpose of this paper is to improve web accessibility of color blindness by analyzing the educational web sites. The three suggestions for this study are as follows. First, use accent colors other then red or orange. Second, add the black and white conversion feature function on the screen. Third, construct colors of video clips and flash files that are appropriate for people with color blindness.
