HW/SW codesign is integrated design of systems implemented using both hardware and software components. Many design tools has been developed to support this new paradigm, so far. Current codesign tools are not widely used as been expected because of variety problems - rapidly evolving technology, platform dependency, absence of standard specification method, inconsistent user interface, varying target system, different functionality In this paper, we propose a web-based distributed HW/SW codesign environment to remedy this kinds of problem. Our codesign environment has object-based 3 tier client/server architecture. It supports collaborative workspace through session service. Fully object-oriented design of user interface(OOUI) enables easy extension without change of user Interface. Furthermore it contains transaction server and security server for efficient and safe transfer of design data. To show a validity of our design, we developed prototype of web-based HW/SW codesign environment called WebCEDA. Our model of HW/SW codesign can be used for web-based generic CAD tools.

This study proposes customized design process and methodology for wordpress web service based on structural analysis of wordpress theme components to enhance design quality of wordpress sites and increase designer's role in wordpress service domain. Firstly, we have identified problems of wordpress theme information through exploring theme search and theme information analysis in main wordpress theme markets. Secondly, we set up case study to experiment full process of wordpress theme based web design, then found unique problems in each design phases. As a result, customized design process and methodology are proposed for wordpress theme based web design.

In this study, I would like to suggest a new model of web navigation design which can enhance old-aged users web usability. I would like to prove that when users enjoy web navigation design, older-users access information much more effectively. Using a survey, suggest some types of web navigation designed for old-aged users. After that, based on the result of the prepatory survey, I conducted an experiment with 4 types of web navigation designs, which have been developed to reflect varying stages of comprehensibility. My survey focused three points. First I tested whether they lost their way while searching for information. Secondly, if they did lose their way, I checked whether they could recover from their errors and find their way back. Thirdly, I investigated whether layout, location and size of the web navigation design factors affected usability. The results of my survey indicated that old-aged users spend the shortest time, have the easiest interface, and have least error incidence under the web navigation design to enhance old-aged users web usability.Thus, developing a web navigation design for old-aged users can encourage older people to be more involved with the internet, especially in the aging society.

The design process of RC Slab includes multiple procedures such as structural analysis, member design, the production of calculation sheets, CAD, and itemized statements of quantities. The objective of this study is to develope an integrated design system that includes all the steps needed for RC Slab design, and as a result, to improve the quality and efficiency of the design process. In this study, the design steps are divided into structural modules and database, and each module and database is systematically combined for the complete design process. The developed design system is based on Web environment. Therefore it can be used in real time and reduces the design work time and space.

Various web_based ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) are developed as the Internet is popularized in If or non If fields. The specific web site style is the major appliance which can transmit the characteristics of the site in the fastest and the most accurate ways. The realization of the web site style related to the characteristics of the system which the web site represents typically is the very important design element, for the effective construction of the web site. The study of the methods investigation to contrive the reasonable style pattern systems is dedicated on these backgrounds, as one of the methods for the effective planning of the web design. For this purpose, the study has investigated the web design style through the internet and the books. Also, the study has analyzed the style pattern of the web site domestic and overseas. Based on the results of the study, the inquiry of the web design style pattern and the user's mental model has been prepared, surveyed and analyzed accordingly. This study has indicated one of the methods which can be utilized widely in the process of the style determination of general web site design. The efficiency of the study will be valued in the utilization of similar methods of style determination stage in various design areas.

Purpose: The purpose of this project was to develop an international web-based expert system using principals of artificial intelligence and user-centered design for management of mental health by Korean emigrants. Using this system, anyone can access the system via computer access to the web. Methods: Our design process utilized principles of user-centered design with 4 phases: needs assessment, analysis, design/development/testing, and application release. A survey was done with 3,235 Korean emigrants. Focus group interviews were also conducted. Survey and analysis results guided the design of the web-based expert system. Results: With this system, anyone can check their mental health status by themselves using a personal computer. The system analyzes facts based on answers to automated questions, and suggests solutions accordingly. A history tracking mechanism enables monitoring and future analysis. In addition, this system will include intervention programs to promote mental health status. Conclusion: This system is interactive and accessible to anyone in the world. It is expected that this management system will contribute to Korean emigrants' mental health promotion and allow researchers and professionals to share information on mental health.

Material selection is one of the important activities in design and manufacturing. A selected material at the conceptual design stage affects functionality of the designed part as well as manufacturability and cost of the final product. Unfortunately there are not many accessible material databases that can be used for design. In this research, a web-based material database was constructed. In order to assist designers to compare different materials, two-dimensional and three-dimensional graphs were provided via the web browser Using these graphical tools, multi-dimensional comparison was available in more intuitive manner. As a case study, this system was applied for material selection of an automotive engine pulley.

In this paper, I design a web based system for self directed leaning. I search a teaching and teaming model for self directed teaming on web. I design a pertinent mood of system to carry out a teaching and teaming model. Also, I propose a Dan which a model d system use pertinently. If a web based system for self directed teaming is used on vacation, after school or actual learning, I expect that we take the effect of instruction.

The purpose of this paper is to design a system model which is needed for integrating the secure role-based access control model into web-based application systems. For this purpose, firstly, the specific system architecture model using a user-pull method is presented. This model can be used as a design paradigm. Secondly, the practical system working model is proposed. which specifies the mechanism that performs role-based access control in the environment of web-based application systems. Finally, the comparison and analysis is shown in which the merits with the proposed system model is presented.
