  • Every day 60 million emails are sent out around the world. IT technology has given us so many ways of communicating. Technology such as twitter has the potential to give us more than just an opportunity to tell others what happened in our day. If we understand and appreciate what twitter is capable of, we can use it to instantly share our lives with others. In this paper, we introduce to the trend of web and social networks, mini blog and twitter services of digital new media age. Finally, we proposed a strategy of application for the social media and the direction of growth for twitter.

  • This paper introduce a satellite image based blog system built by JeonNam local province. Main goals of this system are as follows : (1)Overcome the static aspect of traditional Web-GIS, (2)Providing a geoUCC generating platform by combining multimedia technology and GIS in a single web environment, (3)Building a two-way Web-GIS through user's participation, (4)Creating a new communicative way between government and citizen by using this system. As a result of the system building, this system enables users to create his/her own UCC(User Created Contents) on high-resolution satellite image and enables users to share his/her own UCC with other system using Web2.0 technology.

A Study on Information Exploration Characteristic and Relative Importance Evaluation of Island Tourism Web Site (수산해양관광 관련 웹사이트의 정보탐색 특성과 상대적 중요도 평가에 대한 연구)

  • This study examines the information exploration characteristic and relative importance evaluation of island tourism web site. The survey items are developed based on the related studies and also implemented particular way so-called 'semi-online' that including both web based material and offline tutorial. The first objective of this study is verifying the characteristics of information exploration on island tourism of university students. The second is examining the peculiar properties of tourism information that exposed one's individual importance evaluation. The result of this study shows that most of the students have no difficulty in using the internet and exploring the island tourism information. And there is no significant difference in using and exploring the internet between male and female students. Based on the result of this study, most popular type of island tourism information is picture type. Personal blog or user created contents(UCC) that containing the other's experience of island tourism is mostly wanted contents. But there is a significant difference in importance of contents within the students. The community based information which including UCC, blog, and other community user's posting is evaluated the most important information for relatively less experienced students. On the other hand more experienced students have a preference on expertise information which created by tourism experts. The difference within the determinant factors that affecting island tourism also significant. With analysis of variance(ANOVA) on determinant factors, the tourism activity and social/culture resource are less important than others(eg. natural environment, accommodation and so on). The result of this study would be practically used for implementing the local government's effective tourism web site and enhancing the current island tourism operation. And also it gives a advantage to facilitate the island tourism for young generations.

Post Clustering Method using Tag Hierarchy for Blog Search (블로그 검색에서의 태그 계층구조를 이용한 포스트 군집화)

  • Blog plays an important role as new type of knowledge base distinguishing from traditional web resource. While information resources in their existing website dealt with a wide range of topics, information resources of the blog are concentrated in specific units of information depending on the user's interests and have the criteria of classification forresources published by tagging. In this research, we build a tag hierarchy utilizing title keywords and tags of the blog, and propose apost clustering methodology applying the tag hierarchy. We then generate the tag hierarchy reflected the relationship between tags and develop the tag clustering methodology according to tag similarity. In this paper, we analyze the possibility of applying the proposed methodology with real-world examples and evaluate its performances through developed prototype system.

  • A business is an organized. profit-seeking activity that provides goods and service designed to satisfy customer' needs. For years, Internet users have been dream of intelligent software agents that automatically prowl the online world and bring back high-quality information. In the era of web2.0, Internet users can communicate each other on open platforms(e-mail, Naver Knowledge-In. Cyworld, Wikipedia, and blog etc.). The author investigate the impact of web2.0 user's perceived value. affective commitment. brand equity on loyalty intention. The results suggest that excellent service quality will be alternative solving in web2.0 business environment.

  • Recently, the internet has seen tremendous growth with plenty of enriched information due to an increasing number of specialized personal interests and popularizations of private cyber space called, blog. Many of today's blog provide internet users, RSS, which is also hewn as the syndication technology. It enables blog users to receive update automatically by registering their RSS channel address with RSS aggregator. In other words, it keeps internet users wasting their time checking back the web site for update. This paper propose the ways to manage RSS Channel Searching Crawler and collected RSS Channels for internet users to search for a specific RSS channel of their want without any obstacles. At the same time. This paper proposes RSS channel ranking based on user popularity. So, we focus on an idea of adding index to information and web update for users to receive appropriate information according to user property.

Blog Search Method using User Relevance Feedback and Guru Estimation (사용자 적합성 피드백과 구루 평가 점수를 고려한 블로그 검색 방법)

  • Most Web search engines use ranking methods that take both the relevancy and the importance of documents into consideration. The importance of a document denotes the degree of usefulness of the document to general users. One of the most successful methods for estimating the importance of a document has been Page-Rank algorithm which uses the hyperlink structure of the Web for the estimation. In this paper, we propose a new importance estimation algorithm for the blog environment. The proposed method, first, calculates the importance of each document using user's bookmark and click count. Then, the Guru point of a blogger is computed as the sum of all importance points of documents which he/she wrote. Finally, the guru points are reflected in document ranking again. Our experiments show that the proposed method has higher correlation coefficient than the traditional methods with respect to correct answers.

Analysis and Visualization for Comment Messages of Internet Posts (인터넷 게시물의 댓글 분석 및 시각화)

  • There are many internet users who collect the public opinions and express their opinions for internet news or blog articles through the replying comment on online community. But, it is hard to search and explore useful messages on web blogs since most of web blog systems show articles and their comments to the form of sequential list. Also, spam and malicious comments have become social problems as the internet users increase. In this paper, we propose a clustering and visualizing system for responding comments on large-scale weblogs, namely 'Daum AGORA,' using similarity analysis. Our system shows the comment clustering result as a simple screen view. Our system also detects spam comments using Needleman-Wunsch algorithm that is a well-known algorithm in bioinformatics.

WEB-BASED CONSTRUCTION KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT PORTAL

  • As a knowledge-based economy is emerging, knowledge management (KM) is being rapidly disseminated in both academic circles and the business world. Accordingly, how to effectively manage knowledge is vital to the survival and advance of a company, particularly in project-based industries such as construction. For these reasons, construction companies have adopted IT-based Knowledge management systems (KMS), which is the technology platform and infrastructure that an organization employs to support knowledge management. However, many construction companies have spent resources on developing a KMS that only focus on codification. Furthermore, small and medium-sized companies have limited resources to afford extensive investments. This research addresses the problems found in the current KMS and develops a web-based construction knowledge management portal (CKMP). To achieve these objectives, a case study is conducted and requirements for implementing KM are identified. Based on the identified requirements, this paper builds CKMP using Expert Index (EI), blog, ontology based knowledge retrieval, and wikiblog. The most important functionality of CKMP is their fundamentals to synchronize and support KM process. In order to validate the CKMP, a pilot test with actual users is conducted, and the usability of the system is compared with the current systems. This study is relevant to both the construction industry and academia, as it provides a means of enhancing the performance of KM.

  • Web2.0 refers to a new service models based by a community oriented philosophy. This creates new opportunities for technology providers and service. The agricultural technology information service in the base of open source technology provide opportunities for increased distribution and visibility to farmer and general user. We would like to find out vest service models and platform that will find new ways of agriculture technology information service. This study suggests that these new agriculture information service strategy in new paradigm of web 2.0. should be revised and adapted to Open API and new applied strategy in agriculture should be developed considering the impact of web 2.0.
