비디오 정보는 전자 도서관이나 WWW 및 주문형 비디오 (VOD) 시스템과 같은 다양한 응용분야에서 중요한 요소로 부각되고 있다. 비디오 정보는 특성상 계층적으로 구조화된 문서 형태를 가지기 때문에 본 논문에서는 이를 “구조화된 비디오 문서”라 부른다. 본 논문에서는 구조화된 비디오 문서를 데이터베이스에 효율적으로 저장하고, 검색하기 위한 데이터 모델과 질의어 및 색인 기법을 제안한다. 구조화된 비디오 문서는 논리적인 계층 구조 특성을 지니기 때문에, 본 논문에서는 객체 지향 데이터 모델을 이용하여 비디오 문서를 복합 객체로 모델링하고, 이를 저장하기 위한 객체 타입들을 정의한다. 또한 본 논문에서는 비디오 데이터의 캡션이나 주석을 기반으로 한 내용 기반 검색과 비디오 문서의 논리적 구조를 기반으로 한 구조 기반 검색을 제공하며, 비디오 문서의 시공간 관계 연산을 이용한 검색도 지원한다. 그리고, 구조화된 비디오 문서의 효율적인 질의와 색인 공간의 오버헤드를 줄이기 위해 최적화된 역 색인 기법을 제시한다.

웹 기술의 발전으로 다양한 시스템 환경에서의 기술적 융합을 웹 인터페이스를 통해 수행이 가능해졌다. 웹은 그 역할에 따라 웹 1.0시대부터 4.0시대로 분류할 수 있으며, 정보의 연결 (connects information), 사람의 연결(connects people), 지식의 연결(connects knowledge), 지능의 연결(connects intelligence)의 특성을 갖는다. 또한, 4차 산업혁명을 거치면서 모바일 앱을 통한 다양한 기술적 needs가 발생하였고, 단순한 정보의 제공 수단이던 웹에서, 3D, 가상/증강, 비디오/오디오 프로세싱 등의 기능 수행이 가능해졌다. 이러한 시대적 needs를 뒷받침하기 위한 기술 표준이 연구되었다. 본 논문에서는 그중 하나인 웹 어셈블리에 대해 분석하였다. 웹 어셈블리를 기존의 웹 시스템(혹은 플랫폼)과 연계, 융합하여 활용하는 방안에 대해 살펴보고, 다양한 사례를 통해 기술적 의미를 분석 한다. 또한, 기존의 자바스크립트와 웹 어셈블리를 융합할 수 있는 아키텍트에 대한 연구를 진행하고, 추후 연구방향에 대해 논하고자 한다.

contents and big data웹은 사람들의 일상생활에 있어 가장 밀접한 기술 중 하나로 오늘날 대부분의 사람들은 웹을 통해 데이터를 공유하고 있다. 단순 메신저, 뉴스, 영상뿐만 아니라 다양한 데이터가 현재 웹을 통하여 전파되고 있는 셈이다. 또한 웹 어셈블리 기술이 등장하면서 기존 네이티브 환경에서 구동되던 프로그램들이 웹의 영역에 진입하기 시작하면서 웹이 공유하는 데이터는 이제 VR/AR 콘텐츠, 빅데이터 등 그 범주가 점차 넓어지고, 크기가 거대해지고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 브라우저에 종속적이지 않고 독립적으로 동작이 가능한 서비스워커와 웹 브라우저 내에 데이터를 효과적으로 저장할 수 있는 캐시 API를 활용하여 웹 서비스를 사용하는 사용자들에게 웹 콘텐츠를 효과적으로 전달할 수 있는 방법을 제시하였다.

Purpose: This study was performed to develop the electronic textbook (CD-rom title) about preclinical practice of oral and maxillofacial radiology, using multimedia technology with interactive environment. Materials and Methods: After comparing the three authoring methods of multimedia, i.e. programming language, multimedia authoring tool and web authoring tool, we determined the web authoring tool as an authoring method of our electronic textbook. Intel Pentium II 350 MHz IBM-compatible personal computer with 128 Megabyte RAM, Umax Powerlook flatbed scanner with transparency unit, Olympus Camedia l400L digital camera, ESS 1686 sound card, Sony 8 mm Handycam, PC Vision 97 pro capture board, Namo web editor 3.0, Photoshop 3.0, ThumbNailer, RealPlayer 7 basic and RealProducer G2 were used for creating the text document, diagram, figure, X-ray image, video and sound files. We made use of javascripts for tree menu structure, moving text bar, link button and spread list menu and image map etc. After creating all files and hyperlinking them, we burned out the CD-rom title with all of the above multimedia data, Netscape communicator and plug in program as a prototype. Results and Conclusions : We developed the dental radiology electronic textbook which has 9 chapters and consists of 155 text documents, 26 figures, 150 X-ray image files, 20 video files, 20 sound files and 50 questions with answers. We expect that this CD-rom title can be used at the intranet and internet environments and continuous updates will be performed easily.

An embedded system has been applied to many fields including households and industrial sites. In the past, user interface products with simple functions were commercialized .but now user demands are increasing and the system has more various applicable fields due to a high penetration rate of the Internet. Therefore, the demand for embedded system is tend to rise In this paper, we Implementation of an embedded system for image tracking. This system is used a fixed IP for the reliable server operation on TCP/IP networks. A real time broadcasting of video image on the internet was developed by using an USB camera on the embedded Linux system. The digital camera is connected at the USB host port of the embedded board. all input images from the video camera is continuously stored as a compressed JPEG file in a directory at the Linux web-server. And each frame image data from web camera is compared for measurement of displacement Vector. That used Block matching algorithm and edge detection algorithm for past speed. And the displacement vector is used at pan/tilt motor control through RS232 serial cable. The embedded board utilized the S3C2410 MPU Which used the ARM 920T core form Samsung. The operating system was ported to embedded Linux kernel and mounted of root file system. And the stored images are sent to the client PC through the web browser. It used the network function of Linux and it developed a program with protocol of the TCP/IP.

원격 모니터링 시스템(RMS; Remote Monitoring System)은 산업의 자동화 과정에 따라 다양한 분야에 적용되고 있으며, 단순한 상태 감시기능에서 멀티미디어 인터페이스 기반의 실시간 제어 기능을 갖는 복합 응용시스템으로 발전하고 있는 추세이다. 본 연구에서는 네트워크로 연동된 원격 사이트의 타겟 시스템(target system)을 클라이언트의 웹 브라우저에서 모니터링 할 수 있는 감시기능과 특정 동작을 제어할 수 있는 제어기능을 갖는 웹 기반 모니터링 시스템을 개발하였다. 개발 시스템은 클라이언트가 웹 브라우저에서 타겟 시스템의 상태를 실시간으로 감시할 수 있는 모니터링 기능, 클라이언트가 모니터링 화면에서 특정 모듈의 값을 설정함으로써 시스템의 상태를 제어하는 출력제어 기능, 클라이언트가 웹 환경에서 타겟 시스템의 환경 변수를 직접 설정 또는 변경할 수 있는 환경설정 기능, 네트워크에 연동된 화상카메라를 이용하여 타겟 시스템 주변 환경을 비디오로 감시할 수 있는 비디오 감시기능 등으로 구성되어 있다. 본 RMS는 웹 기반의 인터페이스로 타겟 시스템에 쉽게 접근 및 관리가 가능하며, 특히, 무인 자동화 설비 및 폐쇄 공간 등에서 유용하게 활용될 수 있다.

Long-term evolution (LTE) is emerging as a major candidate for 4G cellular networks to satisfy the increasing demands for mobile broadband services, particularly multimedia delivery. Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) technology combined with orthogonal frequency division multiple access and more efficient modulation/coding schemes (MCS) are key physical layer technologies in LTE networks. However, in order to fully utilize the benefits of the advances in physical layer technologies, the MIMO configuration and MCS need to be dynamically adjusted to derive the promised gains of 4G at the application level. This paper provides a performance evaluation of video traffic with variations in the physical layer transmission parameters to suit the varying channel conditions. A quantitative analysis is provided using the perceived video quality as a video quality measure (evaluated using no-reference blocking and blurring metrics), as well as transmission delay. Experiments are performed to measure the performance with changes in modulation and code rates in poor and good channel conditions. We discuss how an adaptive scheme can optimize the performance over a varying channel.

인터넷 웹 기반의 Home Securiy, ITS(Intelligent Traffic System), 관광산업, 생산현장 등 여러 분야에서 네트워크 카메라를 이용한 영상정보 시스템이 각광을 받고 있으며, 이에 따른 네트워크 카메라의 수요가 급속하게 증가하고 있다. 또한 이를 제어하기 위해서 비디오 서버가 복잡해짐에 따라 많은 비용이 드는 문제를 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 카메라 수의 증가에 따른 비디오 서버의 복잡성과 비용 문제를 해결하고자 다중 채널을 통해 입력되는 카메라의 영상 정보를 1채널 멀티플랙스 스위칭 처리를 하고 또한 영상 데이터를 자동으로 스위칭하는 시스템을 구현 하였다.

With the rapid spread of social media, video-sharing social media like YouTube has emerged as a consumption and distribution channel for entertainment goods such as music videos and movie trailers. In tourism research, there has been a lot of research of how the visual media such as movies and soap operas induced tourism. However, no studies have attempted to examine the role of social media as a music consumption channel and its impact on tourism. Expanding a body of media-induced tourism, we analysed the impact of video-sharing social media on music-induced tourism with a case of Korean pop music and inbound tourism to Korea. Developing a Web-crawler, we collected YouTube users' comments data on 166 Korean pop music video clips which were released from 2009 to 2012 with over 1 million view counts. Controlling many of the determinants of tourism and analysing country-by-country impact of YouTube comments with the panel data, we found that engagement of Korean pop music video clips on YouTube is a significant predictor for the flow of inbound tourists to Korea.

인터넷 기술의 급속한 발전으로 교육분야에서도 많은 변화를 가져오고 있고 그 변화 중 하나는 웹을 활용하는 수업들이다. 전통적인 교실 수업과는 달리, 웹을 기반으로 하는 가상대학 등에서는 멀티미디어적인 요소(텍스트, 그래픽, 사운드, 애니메이션, 비디오 등)를 갖춘 웹 문서를 기반으로 하이퍼미디어 기능을 이용하여 학습자가 자유자재로 항해할 수 있는 기능을 제공함으로써 가장 효과적인 수업도구로 점차 인식되어가고 있다. 그러나, 웹이 수업도구로 전이되어 가는 속도에 비해, 이들의 질을 평가할 수 있는 유용한 평가요소들에 대한 원형은 미흡한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 최근 웹을 활용한 수업에 대해 평가할 수 있는 평가 항목을 제시하고 이들을 실제로 한 가상대학에서 이루어지는 강의에 대해 적용시켜 전통수업과 비교하여 항목을 평가한다. 이를 통해 점차 확산되어가고 있는 가상대학의 양질의 강의를 위한 평가의 기초 자료로 사용될 수 있을 것이다.
