Homepage design on the Web is incredibly growing fast as the integrative information method than any other media. At the beginning the homepage was designed by text mostly, however, it has been changed to use the multimedia. Design in the Web is changed by the development of computer technology. Rnal destination of Web is an user platform that consists of pixel of monitor screen. Monitor requires different approach from printing material because of the limited of range of presentation and the property of light. This paper has studied to find the possibilities of expression of type which can be the basic structure for HTML. By the case study of homepage, it has analyzed the kind of types, presentation method, the number of frequency, and variation of design.

Nowadays, the World Wide Web (WWW) has become an important resource of timely information for the information-related people such as information scientists, librarians, and students in Library and Information Sciences area. They are information professionals who navigate the information on the internet. Also, they need to be information providers who build a WWW homepage. This paper is a study of the necessity, preparation, and building WWW Homepage files for school of Library and Information Sciences in the age of competition among disciplines. It is particularly focused on the colleges and universities in Republic of Korea (ROK) and North America area. The purpose of this study is to provide various kinds of reference information to prepare a homepage in the future as utilizing information on the internet effectively. Even though a Web page was necessary for a school of Library and Information Sciences to show news, and introduce the purpose of the disciplines and the curriculum of the school, and the professors of a class etc., it was not well-prepared yet in ROK. However, a web page was used well enough and prosperous in North America area (Canada, the United States, and Puerto Rico) comparatively. Those web pages were analyzed and studied to prepare for a good designing of homepages for school of Library and Information Sciences in Korea and for the age of competition among disciplines in this paper. Suggestions for designing a good homepage and guidelines for preparing a best one were studied after both reviewing literature and utilizing experiences by the author who currently serves in the School of Library and Information Sciences in Keimyung University and builds homepage for the school. As a result, the major suggestions are ; premiered, and they are as follows: (1) English version of a homepage is necessary, (2) Provide a multimedia presentation about the nature of a school (3) Incorporate a place to let people make suggestions on the contents (of a homepage), (4) Bear in mind that potential users must be familiar with abbreviations you used, (5) Absolutely do not use abbreviations that may make the content more difficult to understand, (6) Add a feature on the every single page that will take the user back to the main page, (7) Use clear, short and well-structured sentences and remember to divide text into paragraphs, (8) Date with a creation or modification date in the homepage to indicate the updated date, (9) Being a multimedia environment, use colors effectively (the guidelines were also suggested), and (10) Put colleges' name into the title of bookmarks to find out them easily.

It is essential for any public institution to establish a systematical scheme and a management system to maintain the contents and securities of its ever-expandingweb-site with efficiency. The general users want a reliable system and a simple and stress-free web environment, and expect the public institutions to maintain the accuracy and conformity of information they provide to the public. In かis study, 1 examined a web-site owned by a certain governmental research institute for the current maintenance status and problems to seek an effective and easy-to-use scheme for both users and web managers. Based on what I teamed from my study, 1 moved on to design a web integration system and tested it on the above mentioned web-site for analysis.

Web robot engine for searching web sever vulnerability and malicious code is proposed in this paper. The main web robot function is based on searching technology which is derived from analyses of private information threat. We implemented the detecting method for phishing, pharming and malicious code on homepage under vulnerable surroundings. We proposed a novel approachm which is independent of any specific phishing implementation. Our idea is to examine the anomalies in web pages.

I conducted a study on the capacity evaluation and management of the main homepage screen to improve the availability of government institutions. As a result of three times evaluating the size of the homepage main page of the major institutions, the capacity of the homepage of the institution was very enormous, and when there were many concurrent users, the server was easily loaded. Governmental management guidelines are needed to fundamentally solve these problems, with the periodic and ongoing homepage management of each institution. In the future, the web site management detailed checkpoints should be additionally established in the government web site installation and management guidelines, and the recommended checking items; homepage performance evaluation, lightening homepage capacity.

This experimental study examines informetric analysis of World Wide Web based upon cocitation analysis of Web pages and features of Web resources in the field of communication studies. Cocitation analysis is basically performed to examine the intellectual structure of the communication studies in reflecting link count on the Web. The selected Web resources in the field are mapped in two dimensions based upon the similarities of cocitation frequency, correlation matrix, mutidimensional scale and cluster analysis. Cocitation analysis methods using organizational homepage, personal homepage, or Web index, to Web produced clustering of Web resources that had topical similarities. So far, although informetric analysis of Web resources is in the preliminary stage, it shows that Web can be a new tool for indicating the intellectual structure of a specific research field. In addition, this study analyzes characteristics of printing resources and Web resources, and differences of research methods in applying cocitation analysis.

The web log data analysis is to analysis traces which visitors remain while they drop by a web-site. Ultimately it can help to obtain a lot of useful information that can efficiently manage homepage and perform CRM(customer relationship management) using obtained information. In this paper, we provide a basic information to manage efficiently homepage of D university and to establish strategy for invitation of new pupil, as analyzing web log data for D university.

The service of health information was provided through internal and external weather agency web sites. The purpose of this study was to analyze current status of the weather agency web sites dealing with health information in the internet, and to evaluate their contents and technical aspects. The evaluation tool consisted of five area (appropriateness, accessibility, supportiveness, feedback, and continuance) with nineteen items. For the public confidence, web sites were limited to national meteorological administration and representative weather agencies. The evaluating web sites were fourteen from eight countries. The evaluation scores of fourteen web sites were 37.8 out of 53.0 in total. Each subcategory score were 5-12 out of 12 in appropriate, 4-12 out of 12 in accessibility, 4-10 out of 11 in supportiveness, 2-8 out of 9 in feedback, and 2-8 out of 9 in continuance. The score of feedback was the lowest. Survey results indicated that Korean Meteorological Administration homepage was middle status compared with the others in side of depth of health information and feedback from expert. Climate change affect human health, so it will be possible to prevent some disease at first through climate information. It should be developed to provide high quality health information and system related climate on KMA homepage.

The study aims at assessing information on cultural festivals furnished through the internet homepage of a provincial government. The study examines 29 tourist festivals of ˝Cultural Festivals of Korea 2001˝, designated by the Ministry of Culture and Tournism. Based on the inquiring table, framed through the previous study, each festival´s information was surveyed and analyzed, by visiting the homepages of provincial governments. The results of the study show that 1) ˝The information of festival˝ is low in quality. Particularly, ˝the contents of festival˝ needs to be improved and expanded and ˝the festival periods˝ should be brought up to date. These are the important factors in making a decision to participate in the festival and the chief attraction of a homepage, well-planned and detailed information can influence more tourists who are interested in visiting a festival. 2) Seventeen festivals support ˝foreign language˝. But ˝festival information˝ is weak as it provides only an outline of festival and doesn´t even contain the date and contents of festival. Valuable information, like transportations, accommodations and restaurants when tourists visit a tourist spot, and detailed festival contents should be provided. 3) ˝Search˝ and ˝Q and A˝ are function which provide specifics for users. In addition to the homepage of a local government, these functions on the web page of cultural festivals or on an exclusive web page of tourism is required. 4) The homepage of festivals should offer ˝the information of participation˝. The convenience of information searchers should be considered by providing them information such as local prices, transportations, accommodations and restaurants which are necessary to participate in festival.
