Since web has been used as the front-end of database, many web database connectivity tools have been developed and being developed now. For web developers and educators, it has been a difficult problem to select one tool out of so many alternatives. This paper compares web database connectivity tools available on PC Windows environment in the viewpoint of developers and educators. This comparative analysis focuses on the functions and programming techniques provided by these tools through implementing a simple case study using these software solutions. The performance analysis of these tools was not done in this reason.

A key factor far realizing the internet-based virtual manufacturing system(VMS) and virtual enter-prise(VE) is how to precisely and effectively represent the machine elements and mechanics. In this paper, we present methods to represent the numerically controlled machine tools in the internet environment. The method is composed of: 1) geometrical modeling of the machine tools, 2) kinematic modeling for the movements of the machine tools, and 3) representing the developed model in the internet infrastructure. Based on the models. a web-based virtual machine tools (WVMT) is developed, and it can be accessed at hrrp://wvmt.postech.ac.kr. The WVMT can be used for various purposes: 1) web-based virtual manufacturing system, 2) web-based CAM system, and 3) CNC educational tools for the vocational school through internet.

Web programming courses are often included in university Computer Science programs as introductory and foundational computer programming courses. However, amateur programmers often have difficulty learning how to integrate HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and various preprocessors or libraries to create websites. Additionally, many web programming mistakes do not produce visible output in the browser. Therefore, in recent years, Front-End Code Playground (FECP) tools that incorporate HTML, CSS, and JavaScript into a single, online web-based application have become popular. These tools allow web coding to happen directly in the browser and provide immediate visual feedback to users. Such immediate visual feedback can be particularly beneficial for amateur coders to learn and practice with. Therefore, this study gathers data on various FECP tools, compares their differences, and provides an analysis of how such tools benefit students. This study concludes with an outline of the application of FECP to web programming courses to enhance the learning experience.

Recently, various web page development tools for both the beginner and the experienced user are introduced. These tools allow them to generate web pages easily and quickly. However the web pages generated by the tools have lots of functional limitations. Generally authors must have much knowledge for web authoring tools, HTML, CGI programming to open web sites for special purpose. Especially, most of the lecture supporting web site necessarily requires much effort to construct it as well as special functions using CGI, Javascript, Java Applet, etc. to generate dynamic web pages. In order to solve above mentioned limitations, we design and implement an automatic web site construction system using RASIS based on remote execution technologies.

현대와 같은 정보화 사회에서는 장애인들도 차별 없이 웹에 쉽게 접근할 수 있도록 보장되어야한다. 많은 수의 웹 사이트들의 접근성을 평가하기 위해서는 자동화 도구들이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 기 개발된 웹 접근성 자동 평가 도구 다섯 개를 선정하여 비교/분석하여 본다. 이는 사용자들이 웹 접근성 평가 도구를 선정하는데 큰 도움이 될 것이다.

For the development of automobile lighting components, various designers, developers and manufacturing personnel are involved, each group needing different software tools. In this Smartlite project, several software tools were developed far product development of the lighting components and then tested using two different user interfaces (UIs); the first was based on a commercial CAD system (SDRCI-DEAS) and the second was based on a web browser. The specific focus of this study was a comparison between the new web-based UIs, and the UIs on commercial CAD systems. The usability data have been collected from the users at Visteon and showed that the web-based UIs provided comparable functionality with the CAD-based UIs in terms of performance and usefulness. For the criteria of accessibility, the web-based tools out-performed the CAD-based tools.

More and more employees are implementing the use of emerging Web 2.0 tools such as blogs, wikis, social networks, etc in workplaces. However, their attitudes towards adoption of Web 2.0 tools in workplaces still lack theoretical support. The purpose of this study aims to provide a conceptual examination of the determinants that influence the intention to use Web 2.0 applications in workplaces in Korea. To achieve this objective, this study selected the theory of reasoned action (TRA) as a theoretical basis to explain variation in behavioral intentions. Structural equation modeling was employed to analyze data collected from 269 workers distributed in 5 companies in Korea. In addition, we classified respondents into extroverts and introverts and delineated the different factors for these two types of respondents that affect their intentions to use Web 2.0 tools in workplaces. The findings of this research could provide a theoretical foundation for academics on the validation of technology adoption. This research will also serve as a guideline for service providers in designing the Web 2.0 services.

최근 인터넷의 발달과 모바일 기기에 대한 소비가 확충되면서 인터넷을 이용하여 기존의 기기들을 원격으로 제어하는 기술에 대한 요구가 증대되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 모바일 웹 페이지를 만들어서 웹을 통하여 연결된 기기들을 제어하는 시스템을 제안코자 하였다. 그리고 모바일 기기를 이용한 웹 제어시스템은 홈네트워크, 텔레메틱스 둥 그 응용 분야가 넓기 때문에 앞으로 지속적인 연구가 필요하다.

Bioinformatics tools and databases are useful for understanding and processing various biological data. Numerous resources are being published each year. It is not a trivial task to find up-to-date relevant tools and databases. Moreover, no server is available to provide comprehensive coverage on bioinformatics resources in all biological fields. Here, we present a directory server called IntoPub that provides information on web resources. First, we downloaded XML-formatted abstracts containing web URLs from the NCBI PubMed database by using 'ESearch-EFetch' function in the NCBI E-utilities. The information is obtained from abstracts in the PubMed by extracting 'www' or 'http' prefixes. Then, we cu-rate the downloaded abstracts both in automatic and manual fashion. As of July 2011, the IntoPub database has 12,118 abstracts containing web URLs from 174 journals. Our anal-ysis shows that the number of abstracts containing web resources has increased signifi-cantly every year. The server has been tested by many biologists from several countries to get opinion on user satisfaction, usefulness, practicability, and ease of use since January 2010. In the IntoPub web server, users can easily find relevant bioinformatics resources, as compared to searching in PubMed. IntoPub will continue to update and incorporate new web resources from PubMed and other literature databases. IntoPub, available at http://into.kobic.re.kr/, is updated every day.

The purpose of this study is offering appropriate system and training program to helf the system designer and the trainer in addition to analyze information use behavior about the web search tools and evaluate the estimated system by user groups. The results of the study are as follows $\circledS1$ It is desirable to consider age than other demographic variables in the case of web search tool. $\circledS2$ It is desirable to design Directory Search Tool in the case of web search tool which serves the student user group. $\circledS3$ An Intelligent Search Tool is more appropriate for the students who are using keyword search tool than any other tools. $\circledS4$ A discussion about standard classification of the web information should be accomplished soon because users feel confused in using web search tools due t o absence of standard mode of classification about classified item. $\circledS5$ Librarians need the cognition about data on internet s a source of information and need positive service and user training program about these information because student users hardly get help from librarians or library orientation for learning method to use web search tool. $\circledS6$ Internet use experience and years of computer use had effect on their use ability when using web search tool, whereas computer use experience, library use experience and Online Public Access Catalogs (OPAC) use experience had no effect on it. Especially, OPAC use experience had no effect on use ability of web search tool of student user group because student user groups had no information about internet and web search tool and they did not recognized the difference about search method between web search tool and OPAC. $\circledS7$In the case of web search tool, it si important to index the increasing web resource automatically by a searching robot. But in the case of student users, web search tool is much more needed to index by index expert due to the absence of ability about selecting and combining keyword.
