In the Web 2.0, besides more gaining information on the web, the number of web sites that take advantage of RSS increases explosively. Commonly each users search RSS channels through the web search engine before registering RSS channel's url to the RSS reader. Users judge whether the site is RSS channel or not and register an RSS channel's url through theirs interests. Because accomplished by users themselves, those processes conflict to user's convenience and quick consumption of information. Techniques of current search engines can't provide users with reliable RSS feed information as search results. In this paper, we analysis appropriateness of current search engines' techniques that offer users RSS feed search service and discuss their limitations. Also, we make up RSS feed database through classification of RSS tag being possible to search RSS feed information effectively and apply update rate of each RSS channel's feed to ranking algorithm providing more reliable search results.

Finding the factors to affect the success of the business web sites is critical to enhance their competitiveness. This paper categorizes these factors into 4 quality measures: system information, service and entertainment. The success is measured via user's satisfaction and loyalty. It surveys 474 Internet users to find the effect of the quality measures on web site success empirically. We confirm the causal effect of quality factors on users' satisfaction and loyalty. Furthermore, a comparative study is performed fur Web site types, such as finance, e-commerce (shopping mall), and entertainment. We note that the effect differs in web site types.

The rapid development of information and communication technologies has resulted in rapid increase in the qualitative and quantitative information that can be accessed by information technology. Furthermore an enormous amount of information is provided in various formats. However, there are a group of people who are not able to even approach to targeted information due to physical or environmental problems. Visually handicapped users constitute a class of these users. In this paper, a method of developing user interface for web-based education service is described for the visually handicapped users to access information more efficiently. First, this paper analyzed the problems of visually handicapped users to access information targeting representative domestic sites that supply education services. And based on the results of the above analyses, Nest, this paper explains the web-based education service interface implementation method according to types of the content to be delivered. Lastly, the validity of this method is provided by testing a web page based on the implementation method according to the types of content.

In this paper we have developed an image security system based on Internet Web in order to overcome the problem of existing systems that use the dedicated network. The developed system resolves the safety problem of the centralized control model by adapting the distributed control model based on Web, and has the functions of remote control and automatic monitoring for grouped multiple sites on Web browser. And the system can operate various computers or operating system because it's operating software was designed by the concepts of Java Virtual Machine and Virtual Instrument. Also, our system has not need of additional cost for network construction by using Internet and can greatly improve the managemental efficiency of system because the maintenance and publishing of software updates can be performed through Web Server.

Effective recommendation of similar business groups is a critical factor in obtaining market information for companies. In this study, we propose a novel method for enhancing similar business group recommendation by incorporating derivative criteria and web crawling. We use employment announcements, employment incentives, and corporate vocational training information to derive additional criteria for similar business group selection. Web crawling is employed to collect data related to the derived criteria from 'credit jobs' and 'worknet' sites. We compare the efficiency of different datasets and machine learning methods, including XGBoost, LGBM, Adaboost, Linear Regression, K-NN, and SVM. The proposed model extracts derivatives that reflect the financial and scale characteristics of the company, which are then incorporated into a new set of recommendation criteria. Similar business groups are selected using a Euclidean distance-based model. Our experimental results show that the proposed method improves the accuracy of similar business group recommendation. Overall, this study demonstrates the potential of incorporating derivative criteria and web crawling to enhance similar business group recommendation and obtain market information more efficiently.

$21^{st}$ century has seen a tremendous advancement in the field of Information and Communication Technology. The commercial utilization of Internet tools and technologies has brought change in the traditional working environment. The functioning in an electronic environment is far more complicated than working in traditional environment and this brings many challenges, threats and potential problems. In this paper we analyze the challenges, threats and potential problems in the working environment of Pokhara University due to application of Internet tools and technology. We have chosen four basic areas on the basis of use that include web resources, electronic mails, social sites and P2P technologies. The main focus is to analyze the impact on work place productivity, social interaction, use and abuse of technology and legal issues associated with them. We, finally summarize the findings and offer solutions and recommendations from the observed data based on direct survey conducted in Pokhara University, Nepal.

Techniques for analyzing protein-DNA interactions on a genome-wide scale have recently established regulatory roles for distal enhancers. However, the large sizes of higher eukaryotic genomes have made identification of these elements difficult. Information regarding sequence conservation, exon annotation and repetitive regions can be used to reduce the size of the search region. However, previously developed resources are inadequate for consolidating such information. CONVIRT is a web resource for the identification of transcription factor binding sites and also features comparative genomics. Genomic information on ortholog-independent conserved regions, exons, repeats and sequences is integrated into the virtual chromosome, and statistically over-represented single or combinations of transcription factor binding sites are sought. CONVIRT provides regulatory network analysis for several organisms with long promoter regions and permits inter-species genome alignments. Due to the recent tremendous growth of internet information, RSS, syndication technology provides internet users with a user-friendly information search. RSS enables you to automatically receive newly updated contents, so users do not need to constantly access web sites to obtain new information. This paper proposes the way of managing the web crawler, which collects the sites of RSS documents and helps the users efficiently use the RSS documents. And it also suggests the proper way of ranking the RSS documents based on the users' popularity. Users can efficiently search out the documents they need by using the proposed information searching methods.

New internet trend, such as Web 2.0, has brought about new roles of users and changes in the web ecosystem. In the age of information overload like nowadays, activities in the brand community sites help to make more reasonable decisions in choosing certain brands and products. In order to examine organizational strategic aspects of brand community, this study examine (1) what difference exists in user satisfaction according to the brand community types (the user-initiated type and the corporate-established type), and (2) which dimensions of service quality affect brand community users' satisfaction. Research findings show that types of brand community influence perceived user satisfaction, and tangibility, reliability, interactivity, and stability dimensions of service quality make a positive influence on user satisfaction as well. Practical implications for managing brand community sites in marketing perspectives are further discussed.

Password authentication is the representative user authentication method and particularly text-based passwords are most widely used. Unfortunately, most users select weak passwords and so many web sites provide a password meter that measures password strength to derive the users to select strong passwords. However, some metering results are not consistent and incorrect strength feedbacks are made. In this paper, we tackle these problems regarding password meters and present an improvement direction.
