Performance Evaluation of Web Image Server for sharing e-Commerce System's Image (전자 상거래의 이미지 공유를 위한 웹 이미지 서버의 성능 평가)

  • We can buy products everywhere from Web-based shopping mall using desktop, cellular phone or PDA. To guarantee the various services for different equipment, shopping mail systems should allow a lot of different size or quality of images to provide a good service to their customers. Despite of same product image, each shopping mall saves the image in its storage space individually. Furthermore, all the product images in each shopping mall are stored as images of different quality. It may waste resources of shopping mail server and bring us developmental overhead. It is difficult to update all the images for product that is used by distributed e-catalog in everywhere. In this paper, we extended the proposed Web Image Server (WIS) for sharing one image with all clients and processing Image dynamically, so that we strengthened the function of managing shopping mall as a client of WIS and added the function of recording clients'log file and image catalog for shopping mall. We measured the response time from WIS and conventional e-Commerce site using by WAS which is one of the stress test tools for Web application. Furthermore, we measured WIS responses image requests in reasonable time when the current user is increased.

  • The purpose of this study is to improve the effectiveness and quality of web service by analyzing the web service problems and suggesting the solutions through the expert service quality evaluation from the point of view of users and website quality evaluation by measurement tools for a whole NDSL website. In case of website analysis, this study analyzed the website completeness of NDSL site and looked into the problem that users can judge by intuition during their use of the site, and evaluated the searchability and usability for web-based service quality evaluation by centering on the service quality of database quality items. After the results of this analysis, it appeared that there was not a big problem on the use. But after searching, several problems were found on loading rates, website completeness, user sensitiveness, the protection of private information, metadata completeness, website accessability, etc. And as a result of the evaluation of website service quality, it does not show the all satisfactory results in the function of search methods and search result printing, mark list and the items related to full-text in the part of searchability and usability. However, comparing with the results of other information organizations, it shows the similar level of quality.

  • This study calculated the relative importance between evaluation factors of websites focused on culture and tourism in J region by 3C_D_T evaluation model of website. That is, this paper was analyzed by AHP (analytic hierarchy process) and calculated the relative weights and preference. In conclusion, this study showed that content was the most important factor and proposed the improvement planning through sensitivity analysis.

  • The industries of culture contents is the trend to enforce the power of National competitions in the world economy knowledge foundation which tries to exchange a labor industry to the knowledge business. The spread of internet is the apparently turning point to be devide the world economy into the industrial society and the digital society. Also the communication with internet has been recognized as it is not any more newly means of communication in Korea. Net value which is a multinational internet survey corporation clarified that Korea was the most nation in the world by the result of its research in the rate of using internet. This research look into the characteristic of the media and type of the animation in internet, also analysis a need of user and a degree of convenience of using internet in the web of education site. This study is designed to study the evaluation criteria of web interface with visual perception and to seek its development in relation to the quality of visual perception in case of web animation.

Extraction of Satisfaction Factors and Evaluation of Tourist Attractions based on Travel Site Review Comments (여행 사이트 리뷰를 활용한 관광지 만족도 요인 추출 및 평가)

  • In order to attract foreign tourists, it is important to understand what factors on domestic tour spots are critically considered and how they are evaluated after visit. However, most of the researches on tour business have collected information from tourists through survey on a small number of tourists, which leads to inaccurate and biased conclusion. In this paper, we suggest a data-driven methodology to figure out tourists' satisfaction factors and estimate sentiment scores on them. To do so, we collected review comments data from popular web site. Latent dirichlet allocation is employed to extract key factors and elastic net is used to estimate sentiment scores. Then, an aggregated evaluation score is generated by combining the factors and the sentiment scores per topics. Our proposed method can be used to recommend travel schedules with themes and discover new spots.

  • 대학도서관 웹사이트는 도서관의 이용을 원활하게 하고 정보자료에의 접근을 용이하게 하기 위해서 구성된다. 따라서, 웹사이트를 통해 도서관 서비스에 대한 안내, 이용자의 편의를 위한 온라인 참고봉사 서비스, 과거 수동적인 자세가 아닌 능동적인 정보제공서비스 뿐만 아니라 다양한 이용자의 사용행태를 파악하여 이를 통해서 서비스의 질을 높이고, 이용자의 요구사항을 파악하여 도서관 서비스를 개선해나가는 것이 중요한 화두가 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 충남대학교 도서관 웹사이트를 대상으로 설문조사(Questionnaire)와 발견적 평가(Heuristic Evaluation)를 통해서 대학도서관 웹사이트의 사용성에 있어서의 문제점을 발견하고 개선점을 제시한다.

  • It is difficult to find an appropriate web site because exponentially growing web contains millions of web documents. Personalization of web search can be realized by recommending proper web sites using user profile but more efficient method is needed for estimating preference because user's evaluation on web contents presents many aspects of his characteristics. As user profile has a property of non-linearity, estimation by classifier is needed and combination of classifiers is necessary to anticipate diverse properties. Structure adaptive self-organizing map (SASOM) that is suitable for Pattern classification and visualization is an enhanced model of SOM and might be useful for web mining. Fuzzy integral is a combination method using classifiers' relevance that is defined subjectively. In this paper, estimation of user profile is conducted by using ensemble of SASOM's teamed independently based on fuzzy integral and evaluated by Syskill & Webert UCI benchmark data. Experimental results show that the proposed method performs better than previous naive Bayes classifier as well as voting of SASOM's.

An Automated Technique for Illegal Site Detection using the Sequence of HTML Tags (HTML 태그 순서를 이용한 불법 사이트 탐지 자동화 기술)

  • Since the introduction of BitTorrent protocol in 2001, everything can be downloaded through file sharing, including music, movies and software. As a result, the copyright holder suffers from illegal sharing of copyright content. In order to solve this problem, countries have enacted illegal share related law; and internet service providers block pirate sites. However, illegal sites such as pirate bay easily reopen the site by changing the domain name. Thus, we propose a technique to easily detect pirate sites that are reopened. This automated technique collects the domain names using the google search engine, and measures similarity using Longest Common Subsequence (LCS) algorithm by comparing the tag structure of the source web page and reopened web page. For evaluation, we colledted 2,383 domains from google search. Experimental results indicated detection of a total of 44 pirate sites for collected domains when applying LCS algorithm. In addition, this technique detected 23 pirate sites for 805 domains when applied to foreign pirate sites. This experiment facilitated easy detection of the reopened pirate sites using an automated detection system.

  • This study tried to develop the confidence indicators and evaluation factors of credibility according to the types of online information by nationwide large scale online survey. The main results are summarized as follows: i) confidence indicators by types of online information: information on news sites(72.553), financial companies(68.894), government sites(67.938), cafe(66.464), portal sites(65.001), collective intelligence sites(63.489), nonprofit organization (63.392), company/corporation sites(59.789), blog(59.066), online community sites(55.609), e-commerce sites(55.118), mini-homepage(50.695). ii) 'Widely known site' or 'famous site' is the most important factor for all types of online information. User opinions like as posting or comment are major factors for sites of cafe, blog, mini-homepage, online community, collective intelligence etc. and 'name recognition' and 'reputation' are main factors for site of financial company, corporation, government, nonprofit organization.
