In this paper, we propose a fuzzy proxy cache scheme for caching web documents in mobile base stations. In this scheme, a mobile cache model is used to facilitate data caching and data replication. Using the proposed cache scheme, the individual proxy in the base station makes cache decisions based solely on its local knowledge of the global cache state so that the entire wireless proxy cache system can be effectively managed without centralized control. To improve the performance of proxy caching, the proposed cache scheme predicts the direction of movement of mobile hosts, and uses various cache methods for neighboring proxy servers according to the fuzzy-logic-based control rules based on the membership degree of the mobile host. The performance of our cache scheme is evaluated analytically in terms of average response delay and average energy cost, and is compared with that of other mobile cache schemes.

Recently there are many tries and researches for using web agent in education. The agent is a computer program as a common name which takes a role like a proxy or a middle ware for accomplishing the given something on behalf of user. Lately the agent is being used in the various fields. The teaching and learning is the one of those. It is the web agent that support the teaching and learning on the web. It has a concept of the program or the engine is able to do teachers roles on the behalf of him on the web. Not only the web agent is able to do teachers roles on the behalf of him, but also it is a helper that helps learners on the web. The web based teaching and learning environment has the web agent offers the personal and the adaptive information, interface, or contents.

본 연구에서는 정보 손실을 최소화하고 웹 페이지 저작자의 의도를 보존하기 위하여 일반적인 웹페이지를 모바일 디바이스(주로 휴대전화)용 웹페이지로 적합화(adaptation)하는 프록시(proxy)를 제안한다. 분할된 이미지에 대한 변환 시 사용되는 경험적인 방법을 제안하고, 웹페이지 변환 시에 발생하는 문제점에 대해 프로세스적인 측면에서 개선된 방법 제시한다. 다른 연구 성과와의 비교 실험을 통하여 제안된 프록시의 성능과 정확도를 비교평가 한다.

Recently, an IoT(Internet of Things) application communication protocol is standardizing for connectivity between every things on Internet. In this paper, we design and implement an indoor resource control service using IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) CoAP (Constrained Application Protocol) based on Web. We present an indoor resource control architecture based on Web included functionalities of proxy and RD (Resource Directory) in a web server. Developed indoor resource control service supports to register low-powered and small-scale IoT nodes to web server using CoAP. This service allows users to control the indoor resources through a web browser using Web proxy with functionality of HTTP-CoAP converting.

Open source web service softwares are usually running on UNIX-based operating systems. Choosing an operating system can affect web system performance. In this paper, we describe a source - code-level time measurement tool and measure a service time of each system call that Squid - open source web proxy cache - makes. We run Squid 2.4.STABLEl on Linux 2.4.2 and Solaris 8, and we compare the measured time. As a result, Linux 2.4.2 performs better than Solaris 8. It can be used as a guide for selecting system software on building web service using open source software, and also be used as a basis for enhancing the operating system performance of supporting web service software.

프록시(proxy)는 보안과 캐쉬를 목적으로 설치하는 서버이다. 에이전트는 사용자를 대신해서 사용자가 원하는 작업을 자동적으로 해결해 주는 소프트웨어이다. 에이전트의 인터넷 관련한 대표적 응용으로는 인터넷 정보검색과 온라인 전자상거래를 들 수 있다. 인터넷 정보검색은 사용자로부터 원하는 주제를 받아 계속적으로 새로운 웹 사이트를 찾아다니며 정보를 찾아주는 기능이다. 온라인 전자상거래는 사용자가 원하는 물품이 어디에 있는지 찾아주는 기능이다. 에이전트는 지능(intelligence)를 가지면서 사용자의 취향을 추출하고 이를 학습해 나간다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 에이전트의 기능과 프록시의 기능을 복합적으로 갖되 사용자 특성 파악을 단순한 정도로만 하여 요구가 예상되는 문서들을 미리 가지고 옴으로써 사용자의 웹정보검색(web surfing)시간을 단축시킬 수 있는 지능형 프록시 서버(Intelligent Proxy Server)를 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 검색결과를 사용자에게 가공하여 제공함으로써 검색대기시간을 더욱 줄일 수 있게 한다.

향후 인터넷의 개방형 접속 및 유료화에 대비하여 한국통신에서는 개방형 인터넷 접속과 PC 통신의 과금 회수 대행 서비스인 인포샵 서비스를 인터넷상에서도 실현하기 위한 웹 인포샵 서비스 기능을 대용량 통신처리시스템에 개발하고 있다. 웹 인포샵 서비스는 사용자 ID 없어도 전화망을 통하여 누구나 인터넷을 사용할 수 있고, 유료 웹 사이트에 접속한 시간 또는 정보 이용량에 따라 과금하여 이를 전화번호에 통합 과금하는 서비스이다. 웹 인포샵 서비스는 proxy를 기반으로 개발 중이기 때문에 사용자가 웹 인포샵 서비스를 이용하기 위해서는 사전에 반드시 사용하는 웹 브라우저의 proxy 서버 주소를 사용자 인증 및 과금 대행을 처리하는 WARP(Web Authentication Resolving Processor) 서버 주소로 설정해야 되는 불편함이 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 불편함을 해소하여 사용자가 쉽게 웹 인포샵 서비스를 이용할 수 있도록 웹 브라우저 상의 proxy configuration에 영향을 주지 않는 플러그인 소프트웨어를 이용함으로써 단축 아이콘의 클릭만으로 자동적 WARP 서버에 접속하는 방법에 관한 내용을 기술하고 있다.

In the maritime ships or airplanes, users should utilize the satellite channel in orer to use web service. However, the satellite channel is costly and does not give users satisfied response time. In the ship, the users may receive plenty of extra data when they obtain internet news. The extra data may be unnecessary image and advertise. Therefore, they should pay unnecessary data usage charges as well. In this paper, we suggest a proxy model that solves the problem of cost and speed. The proposed proxy reduces the of data through the satellite link by image and advertising blocking, caching, image re-requesting functions. It's performance was tested by a real satellite communication.

Recently the computing environment has been moved to open architectures that include Web technologies. Web Service is one of import component of the new paradigm. This paper presents a design and implementation of GIS Web Service for mobile devices. As many mobile devices are equipped with GPS (Global Positioning System), it is required to handle the position information more effectively. We have extended the proxy program in the client device to actively send the context information to the server. Based on the context information the server determines the optimal service mode to a particular client. A working example of location?based GIS Web Service is also presented. By using Web Service standards and XML messages we can achieve the maximal interoperability for heterogeneous mobile devices.

With the recent increase in the types of services provided by Internet companies, collection of various types of data has become a necessity. Data collectors corresponding to web services profit by collecting users' data indiscriminately and providing it to the associated services. However, the data provider remains unaware of the manner in which the data are collected and used. Furthermore, the data collector of a web service consumes web resources by generating a large amount of web traffic. This traffic can damage servers by causing service outages. In this study, we propose a website search engine that employs a system that controls user information using blockchains and builds its database based on the recorded information. The system is divided into three parts: a collection section that uses proxy, a management section that uses blockchains, and a search engine that uses a built-in database. This structure allows data sovereigns to manage their data more transparently. Search engines that use blockchains do not use internet bots, and instead use the data generated by user behavior. This avoids generation of traffic from internet bots and can, thereby, contribute to creating a better web ecosystem.
