An Enhancement of Services Selection in Web Services (웹 서비스에서 서비스의 선택의 개선)

  • Web services provide the possibility of dynamically integrating distributed service components scattered over the Internet to fulfill sophisticated business demands. However due to today's wide variety of services offered to perform a specific task, it's essential that users are supported in the eventual selection of appropriate services. An example of web services for which selection of appropriate services will be crucial is Auto Repair Services. Selecting proper service from a variety of Auto Part Shops would be result of delivering high-quality service and minimizing Auto Repair Service customer's waiting time. Therefore, in this research to assist selecting proper service, we present Functional-Level Mediator and illustrate its usage in matching customer's and web service's goals. Five matching cases have been analyzed and results from experiment have been shown. Also, taking advantage of implementing multithreaded web services which reflects concurrent activity in the real world more naturally, we have significantly minimized customer's waiting time at Auto Repair Service.

Generation of semantic Web service based on Ontology by CBD (CBD에 의한 온톨로지 기반 시맨틱 웹 서비스 생성)

  • This study suggests that it dynamically generates semantic Web services from Java and C++ components in order to supporting semantic Web service by using ontology. And the semantic Web should enable greater access not only to content but also to services on the Web. It needs semantic service discovery for components. So, we add ontology-based framework to Web service generation system from components. Especially, components and ontologies are transformed UML model so that it makes WSDL documents to support a generation of dynamic Web service using object modeling. The main contribution of this study is to generate web service dynamically from components and to support semantic Web environment by using ontology. In other words, this study integrates semantic Web service based on ontology and CBD method.

  • The Intelligent Web Service is proposed for the purpose of automatic discovery, invocation, composition, inter-operation, execution monitoring and recovery web service through the Semantic Web and the Agent technology. To accomplish this Intelligent Web Service, the Ontology is a necessity for reasoning and processing the knowledge by the computer. However, creating service ontology, for the intelligent web service, has two problems not only consuming a lot of time and cost depended on heuristic of service developer, but also being hard to be mapping completely between service and service ontology. Moreover, the markup language to describe the service ontology is currently hard to be learned by the service developer In a short time. This paper proposes the efficient way of designing and creating the service ontology using MDA methodology. This proposed solution reuses the creating model in terms of desiEninE and constructing Web Service Model using UML based on MDA. After converting the Platform-Independent Web Service Model to the dependent model of OWL-S which is a Service Ontology description language, it converts to OWL-S Service Ontology using XMI. This proposed solution has profits, oneis able to be easily constructed the Service Ontology by Service Developers, the other is enable to be created the both service and Service Ontology from one model. Moreover, it can be effective to reduce the time and cost as creating Service Ontology automatically from a model, and calmly dealt with a change of outer environment like as the platform change. This paper cites an instance for the validity of designing Web Service model and creating the Service Ontology, and validates whether the created Service Ontology is valid or not.

  • Recently, the mobile Internet is rapidly changing environment in a user's web server performance requires frequent connection is difficult because the proper response is needed to improve the performance of web services engine. Therefore, the goal of this paper is to improve the performance of web services for the installation of additional access to users regardless of tomcat servlet container and process the request and to shorten processing time of SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) message of the server structure to of for web mobile services. The web-sever structure is consists of user demand receiver, web document processor, SOAP protocol processor, NBTM(Non-Blocking and Thread Manager) manager, session manager. The system fully supports a standard web-service protocol, reduces the message processing time and communication overhead of mobile web-service system in Web 2.0 and overhead of server, and confirms the improvement of capability by comparing and evaluating Web 2.0 standard mobile web-service system through delaying achievement evaluation by the experiment of realization in Web 2.0 environment.

  • 본 논문은 ALAN(Application Level Active Network)상에서 GME(Generic Modeling Environment)라고 불리는 컴포지션 메커니즘을 이용하는 AWCS(Adaptive Web Caching Service)에 관하여 언급하였다. ALAN상의 웹 캐싱의 요구사항은 자치 구성성(self-configuration)과 자치 적응성(self-adaptation)이다 이러한 요구사항을 지원하기 위해서 본 논문에서는 친AN상에서 IN(Intelligent Inetwork)에서 유래된 SCE(Service Creation Environment)와 유사한 서비스 컴포지션 메커니즘인 GME를 이용하여 AWCS 의 설계 및 구현에 관하여 언급하였다

  • A web based E-mail system consists of serves which supply mail accounts and service, and clients which take part of interfacing with users. The web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Internet Explorer are the popular clients. Users who cannot afford to get an E-mail id in general mail servers are, therefore, able to reach a e-mailing service in the web environment by using client programs in connection with a mail server. Although the quality of service has been upgraded a lot in recent days, it doesn't provide with satisfactory services anymore. In this paper, we intend to design a mail agent system based on the web environment. Through this system we could reach a convenient user interface based on Internet Explorer and could easily access administratory environment on the basis of NT Server 4.0. Using the service engine dominent in mail agent system, it could provide with convenient user interfacing tools like responding the absence of users, mail filtering and refusing messages, etc. And it would ultimately make possible a constant system security, by preventing system failure phenomena caused by extraordinary uses beyond its capability.

  • Media Contents Recommendation Web Service (service name 'mobodra') is a web service that analyzes media types and genre tastes for each user and recommends content accordingly. Users select some of the works randomly provided on the web when signing up for membership and analyze their tastes based on this. Based on this analysis, preferred content for each user is recommended. In this paper, we implement a content recommendation algorithm through item-based collaborative filtering. When the user's activity data or preference is re-examined, the above process is executed again to update the user's taste.

  • 본 논문은 Directory Service(white page, yellow page, green page)를 분산환경에 적합하고 시스템 유연성을 고려하기 위해서 EJB(Enterprise Java Bean)기반 Webservice로 구현한 방법론 및 그 시스템에 관한 논문이다. 기존 개발된 Directory Service가 대부분 폐쇄적 네트워크를 사용하고 있으므로 시스템 자체에 유연성이 없는 정적인 시스템으로 구현이 되어있고, 플랫폼에 의존하는 아키텍쳐로 설계 되었다. 따라서 본 논문은 이러한 서비스 비개방 특성을 극복하기 위해서 개발 아키텍쳐를 웹서비스(Web Service)환경을 기본으로 하고 분산컴퓨팅환경(Distributed Computing Environment)의 특성을 고려하기 위해서 EJB로 개발이 되었다.

  • Due to Web Services' platform and language independent nature, many business corporations have used them for the integration of various applications. However, the growing amount of available Web Services on Web forms a new problem - how to select and recommend an appropriate Web Service that matches the user requirements. In this paper, we investigate recommendation methods in Web Services, and discuss their strength and limitations.

  • In this paper, we are to overcome the latency problem of current Web 2.0 Web Services system. To overcome the standard mobile web services implementation, a SOAP message processing system (SMSP) was proposed in which the SOAP request and response messages are directly processed without using Servlet engine. Our system can completely support standard Web Services protocol, reducing communication overhead, message processing time, and server overload.
