Ranking of Websites of State Universities in Tamil Nadu using WISER and PRIMOEX: An Analytical Study

  • This Study examines and explores through a web metric ranking analysis of the websites of 22 state universities in Tamil Nadu. It discussed the domain systems of the websites; WISER Web ranking for the year 2016 and 2017. Similarly, the researchers manipulated a new ranking tools for ranking the websites of State universities of Tamil Nadu, According to WISER ranking, Anna University is ranked first with 2469.4 WISER value followed by Tamil Nadu Agricultural University which is ranked second with 4031.4 WISER value. University of Madras is ranked third with 4333.8 WISER values in the year 2017. But when we used the PRIMOEX ranking, Anna University is ranked first with 3653.3 PRIMOEX value followed by Tamil Nadu Agricultural University which is ranked second with 4090.6 PRIMOEX value. Madurai Kamaraj University is ranked third with 4136.1 PRIMOEX values. Alagappa University is ranked fourth with 4956.1 PRIMOEX value and Alagappa University with 6001.9 PRIMOEX value is ranked fifth. It found that PRIMOEX good tool to measure the ranking of websites of state universities of Tamil Nadu.

국내 원격 교육 콘텐츠의 접근성 분석 사례 (A Case Study on the Accessibility of Online Learning Content in Korea)

  • 국내의 웹기반 교육용 콘텐츠 10개를 선정하여 접근성 평가를 실시하였다. (1) 자동 분석 프로그램인 Bobby를 사용한 웹 콘텐츠 접근성 지침(WCAG) 1.0 준수 여부에 대한 기초 자료 산출 (2) SGML 표준 문법 검사 (3) 텍스트 브라우저를 포함한 여러 브라우저에서의 호환성 시험 (4) W3C가 제안한 접근성 체크포인트를 중심으로 한 직접 분석 순으로 접근성을 평가한 결과, 대부분의 콘텐츠가 모든 단계에서 매우 저조한 결과를 보여주었다. 접근성이 낮은 주된 이유는 웹 표준, 브라우저 호환성, 장치 독립성에 대해서 거의 고려를 하지 않고 콘텐츠를 개발하기 때문인 것으로 보인다. 또 검사 대상 콘텐츠들은 대부분 가장 잘 꾸며진 환경의 사용자를 중심으로 한 시청각적인 효과에 치중한 결과, 제한된 사용자 환경에서의 대안적인 접근 경로를 제공하지 않고 있었다. 보편적인 정보 취득을 포함한 점점 더 많은 학습이 온라인으로 이루어지는 현실에서 접근성이 낮은 콘텐츠들은 정보 격차를 더 심화시킬 수 있을 것이다. 따라서, 학습용 콘텐츠의 품질을 결정하는 중요한 요소로 접근성 문제를 고려해야 한다.

A Comparative Study of Phishing Websites Classification Based on Classifier Ensemble

  • Phishing website has become a crucial concern in cyber security applications. It is performed by fraudulently deceiving users with the aim of obtaining their sensitive information such as bank account information, credit card, username, and password. The threat has led to huge losses to online retailers, e-business platform, financial institutions, and to name but a few. One way to build anti-phishing detection mechanism is to construct classification algorithm based on machine learning techniques. The objective of this paper is to compare different classifier ensemble approaches, i.e. random forest, rotation forest, gradient boosted machine, and extreme gradient boosting against single classifiers, i.e. decision tree, classification and regression tree, and credal decision tree in the case of website phishing. Area under ROC curve (AUC) is employed as a performance metric, whilst statistical tests are used as baseline indicator of significance evaluation among classifiers. The paper contributes the existing literature on making a benchmark of classifier ensembles for web phishing detection.

  • 소프트웨어 제품의 품질 확보 및 비용 감소를 위해서 테스트 활동이 중요시되고 있으며 품질을 중시하는 조직에서는 개발 프로세스 내의 독립된 조직에 의해 생산물에 대한 검토 활동이 수행되고 있다. 테스트 조직이 효과적 효율적으로 테스트 활동을 수행하기 위해서는 테스트 활동에 대한 측정 및 평가를 위한 메트릭을 필요로 한다. 하지만 현재 사용하고 있는 메트릭만으로는 테스트 조직의 활동을 평가하고 향상시키기에는 부족하다. 따라서 테스트 조직에 필요한 메트릭 연구가 필요하며 이 메트릭을 통해 테스트 활동에 필요한 지표를 도출할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 목표-질문-메트릭(GQM: Goal Question Metric)방법을 이용하여 온라인 인터넷 서비스 환경의 테스트 조직에서 사용하고 있는 메트릭을 검토하고 테스트 조직 향상에 필요한 메트릭을 도출한 사례를 제시한다.

페이스북 사용자간 내재된 신뢰수준 예측 방법 (Prediction Method for the Implicit Interpersonal Trust Between Facebook Users)

  • Social network has been expected to increase the value of social capital through online user interactions which remove geographical boundary. However, online users in social networks face challenges of assessing whether the anonymous user and his/her providing information are reliable or not because of limited experiences with a small number of users. Therefore. it is vital to provide a successful trust model which builds and maintains a web of trust. This study aims to propose a prediction method for the interpersonal trust which measures the level of trust about information provider in Facebook. To develop the prediction method. we first investigated behavioral research for trust in social science and extracted 5 antecedents of trust : lenience, ability, steadiness, intimacy, and similarity. Then we measured the antecedents from the history of interactive behavior and built prediction models using the two decision trees and a computational model. We also applied the proposed method to predict interpersonal trust between Facebook users and evaluated the prediction accuracy. The predicted trust metric has dynamic feature which can be adjusted over time according to the interaction between two users.

  • In recent years, "altmetrics", given birth by social media and the academic community, have become a metric source for measuring the academic impact of scientific literature. This study has undertaken a co-word analysis of author keywords in "Altmetrics" articles from the Web of Science database from 2012 to 2017 and used a co-occurrence matrix to create a clustering of the words. "Altmetrics" co-occurrence network map was derived and the research hotspots was analyzed.

  • Software reliability prediction is a statistical method to put in place a timely software development practice useful for objective assessment of bidders. The current study suggests one research method that enables reliability assessment of such previous projects by studying user satisfaction and project management history. If incorporated into the existing acquisition process, the reliability assessment method will further enhance objectivity and accuracy in bidder selection process. The GQM(Goal Question Metric) paradigm was used to identify assessment metrics for bidder evaluation and questionnaires were collected from users to create user satisfaction indexes. In addition, 'weight of evidence', the most appropriate categorical method, was used to isolate attributes of each variable that may contribute to reliability assessment.

  • According to the policy for "e-Korea construction" of Korean government, Investment of information system during the past decade are dramatically increasing. More than a half of this investment is cost of hardware infrastructure. So, accurate hardware sizing are essential for higher efficiency of investment. Accurate hardware sizing benefits are generally viewed in terms of the avoidance of excess equipment and lost opportunity costs by not being able to support business needs. Unfortunately, however, little research effort to make the hardware sizing methodology are doing. We propose a sizing method for information system in public sector. This method is determinate empirical study that are gathering and analyzing cases, making method and reviewing expert. Finally we are proposed calculating method for hardware components that is CPU, memory, internal and external disk according to the application system type which is OLTP, Web, WAS. Our study certainly will act as a catalyst for higher investment-efficiency of the future information programs in public sector.

  • Web Service technologies make the automation of business activities that are distributed across multiple enterprises possible. Existing extended transaction protocols typically resort to compensation actions to regain atomicity and consistency. A reservation-based transaction protocol is proposed to reduce high compensation risk. However, for a serial long running transaction processing, the resource that is reserved in the early stage may be released due to resource holding time expires. Therefore, our analysis theoretically illustrates a scheduling scheme that tries to prevent the loss of resource holding as well as gain an optimized execution plan with minimum compensation cost. In order to estimate cost of different schedules, we set up a costing model and cost metric to quantize compensation risk.
