A Integration Systems of REL/RDD based on MPEG-21 (MPEG-21 기반의 REL/RDD 연동 시스템)

  • Recently, As the managing techniques of consuming method and transmission for the sharply increasing multimedia contents has been developed regardless of compatibility by each company, It is a serious obstacle to the development of the organized copyright techniques because nothing can be shared by each other. The MPEG committee under ISO established MPEG-21 framework for it and proposed the REL as the words taking care of copyright and standardized them. However, there seemed to be some problems that special knowledge such as Schema defining the structures of XML and REL should be necessary. Furthermore, There can be some obscurity when the authority of REL document and one of consumer side is different. Therefore, in this paper, we laid out and realized the copyright including consuming system to copyright and prove the REL documents more conveniently and RDD integration system using Web Services technology which can get rid of the vagueness of REL.

Logistic Regression Ensemble Method for Extracting Significant Information from Social Texts (소셜 텍스트의 주요 정보 추출을 위한 로지스틱 회귀 앙상블 기법)

  • Currenty, in the era of big data, text mining and opinion mining have been used in many domains, and one of their most important research issues is to extract significant information from social media. Thus in this paper, we propose a logistic regression ensemble method of finding the main body text from blog HTML. First, we extract structural features and text features from blog HTML tags. Then we construct a classification model with logistic regression and ensemble that can decide whether any given tags involve main body text or not. One of our important findings is that the main body text can be found through 'depth' features extracted from HTML tags. In our experiment using diverse topics of blog data collected from the web, our tag classification model achieved 99% in terms of accuracy, and it recalled 80.5% of documents that have tags involving the main body text.

  • As XML become more popular for encoding data and exchanging format on the web, recent work on processing XML Document in DBMS has been performed. However, there is no formal data model for XML, and there is lack of research on XML algebra for processing complex XML query and even the mediators have many restrictions. Therefore, this paper proposes formal data model and algebra based on directed edge labeled graph for XML query. To implement algebra, not only algorithms of operation for algebra are presented, but also they are implemented using access method and path index based on RDBMS or ORDBMS. In particular, experiments to show the effectiveness of the implemented algebra are performed on XML documents on EST data which are semistructured data.

  • With the wide spread use of multimedia device, the demand for the image processing engineers are increasing in various fields. However there are few engineers who can develop practical applications in the image processing area. To teach practical image processing techniques, we need a visual programming environment which can efficiently present the image processing theories and, at the same time, provide interactive experiments for the theory presented. In this paper, we propose a visual programming environment of the integrated environment for image processing. It consists of the theory presentation systems and experiment systems based on the visual programming environment. The theory presentation systems support multimedia data, web documents and powerpoint files. The proposed system provides an integrated environment for application development as well as education. The proposed system accumulates the teaching materials and exercise data and it manages, an ideal image processing education and research environment to students and instructors.

  • The purpose of this paper is to study the send and receive of the message in the TEDI System. The TEDI System replaces a series of trade documents with electronic date, and it realizes secure and reliable transactions of data among parties by means of open networks, such as the Internet. The TEDI system is composed of Web browsers, TC Serves, a RSP Server, and Certification Servers. TEDI has development the system and legal frame work. Exporters, importers, carriers, banks insurance and companies those who engage in the trade releated business have tested TEDI system and evaluated the legal frame work from the practical point of view. TEDI is now refining the system and preparing for the service. A fundamental feature of the TEDI System is the attribution to participants of data messages through public key certificates issued by certification authorities that allow for verification of digital signatures. Access to servers maintained by such certification authorities also takes place through the internet. In principle, certificates used by any reputable certification authority may be employed as long as they are compatible with X.509 V3.

  • Big data analysis is a technique for effectively analyzing unstructured data such as the Internet, social network services, web documents generated in the mobile environment, e-mail, and social data, as well as well formed structured data in a database. The most big data analysis techniques are data mining, machine learning, natural language processing, and pattern recognition, which were used in existing statistics and computer science. Global research institutes have identified analysis of big data as the most noteworthy new technology since 2011. Therefore, companies in most industries are making efforts to create new value through the application of big data. In this study, we analyzed using the Social Matrics which a big data analysis tool of Daum communications. We analyzed public perceptions of "Internet of things" keyword, one month as of october 8, 2017. The results of the big data analysis are as follows. First, the 1st related search keyword of the keyword of the "Internet of things" has been found to be technology (995). This study suggests theoretical implications based on the results.

  • Big data analysis, in the large amount of data stored as the data warehouse which it refers the process of discovering meaningful new correlations, patterns, trends and creating new values. Thus, Big data analysis is an effective analysis of various big data that exist all over the world such as social big data, machine to machine (M2M) sensor data, and corporate customer relationship management data. In the big data era, it has become more important to effectively analyze not only structured data that is well organized in the database, but also unstructured big data such as the internet, social network services, and explosively generated web documents, e-mails, and social data in mobile environments. By the way, a meta analysis refers to a statistical literature synthesis method from the quantitative results of many known empirical studies. We reviewed a total of 750 samples among 50 studies published on the topic related as IDT between 2000 and 2017 in Korea.

On-Device Gender Prediction Framework Based on the Development of Discriminative Word and Emoticon Sets (특징적 단어 및 이모티콘 집합을 활용한 모바일 기기 내 성별 예측 프레임워크)

  • User demographic information is necessary in order to improve the quality of personalized services such as recommendation systems. Mobile data, especially text data, is known to be effective for prediction of user demographic information. However, mobile text data has privacy issues so that its utilization is limited. In this regard, we introduce an on-device gender prediction framework utilizing mobile text data while minimizing the privacy issue. Discriminative word and emoticon sets of each gender are constructed from web documents written by authors of each gender. After gender prediction is performed by comparing discriminative word and emoticon sets with a user's mobile text data, an ensemble method that combines two prediction results draws a final result. From experiments conducted on real-world mobile text data, the proposed on-device framework shows promising results for gender prediction.

An XML Database System for 3-Dimensional Graphic Images (3차원 그래픽 이미지를 위한 XML 데이타베이스 시스템)

  • This paper presents a 3-D graphic database system based on XML that supports content-based retrievals of 3-D images, Most of graphics application systems are currently centered around the processing of 2-D images and research works on 3-D graphics are mainly concerned about the visualization aspects of 3-D image. They do not support the semantic modeling of 3-D objects and their spatial relations. In our data model, 3-D images are represented as compositions of 3-D graphic objects with associated spatial relations. Complex 3-D objects are mode]ed using a set of primitive 3-D objects rather than the lines and polygons that are found in traditional graphic systems. This model supports content-based retrievals of scenes containing a particular object or those satisfying certain spatial relations among the objects contained in them. 3-D images are stored in the database as XML documents using 3DGML DTD that are developed for modeling 3-D graphic data. Finally, this paper describes some examples of query executed in our Web-based prototype database system.

Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders in Iranian Dentists: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis

  • Background: Work-related musculoskeletal disorders are the most important problems among professions particularly, dentists. This study was conducted to determine the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders in various parts of the body in Iranian dentists by using systematic review and meta-analysis. Methods: This systematic review and meta-analysis was based on preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses (PRISMA) guidelines and searching in national databases such as SID, Magiran, Irandoc, IranMedex, and Medlib, and international databases such as MedLine, Web of Sciences, Scopus, PubMed, ScienceDirect, Cochrane, Embase, Springer, Wiley Online Library, Ebsco, CEBM, and Google Scholar search engine which were published by January 1, 2017. Researched keywords were in Persian and their standard English equivalents were in accordance with their MeSH. The obtained documents were analyzed using Comprehensive Meta-analysis version 2. Results: According to 23 studies through 2,531 Iranian dentists which took part in this study, prevalence of skeletal disorders in Iranian dentists has been 17.6% [confidence interval (CI) 95%:11.7-25.5] in knees, 33.2% (CI 95%:24.1-43.8) in shoulders, 33.4% (CI 95%: 26.8-40.8) in the thorax, 51.9% (CI 95%:46.7-57.2) in necks, 33.7% (CI 95%:28.2-39.6) in wrists/hands, 12.9% (CI 95%:7.7-20.6) in elbows, 37.3% (CI 95%: 31.5-43.5) in lower back, 11.9% (CI 95%:8.7-16.1) in thighs, 12.9% (CI 95%:3.8-36) in the foot, and 10.5% (CI 95%:7-15.4) in legs. Conclusion: Considering the high prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders in Iranian dentists, ergonomics should be included as a lesson in preclinic and also, reeducation courses for ergonomics basics should be executed for graduate dentists.
