A Study on the Management of the WCMS-based Web-Contents (WCMS 기반의 웹 콘텐츠 관리에 관한 연구)

  • Due to the development of the online and mobile, cases of introducing CMS(Contents Management System) and WCMS(Web Contents Management System) to manage Web-Contents of individual and company's homepage are continuously increasing. In this paper, it is necessary to develop WCMS that can establish GUI(Graphic User Interface) based WCMS and edit contents using more concise procedures. In this paper, by reconfiguring WCMS-based Web contents using user-definition, we designed the system that can effectively and conveniently edit web contents as GUI-based. Also, we studied the intuitive and convenient web-contents management methods through researches using simplified logic. Therefore, proposed WCMS based Web-contents editing system allows the users to edit and modify the web contents much more quickly and conveniently compared to the existing web-contents editing system.

  • Recently, roost of the companies have, utilized internet with the purpose of business. According to this tendency, each company is exchanging various information and offering services of e-business through Web-Site. Contents on Web-Site are getting huge and the period of contents renewal is getting short. Consequently, each company is faced with many problems for the contents management because of specialization and fractionation of contents. A contents management system that creates, maintains and manages efficiently and conveniently contents on Web-Site toward solving these problems is very required. in this paper, we design and implement such a web contents management system. It also supports dynamic web page publication based on the XML components.

  • In this paper, I presented that transformation of library from the collection management to knowledge contents management along with paradigm shift under the web-based multimedia information environment is required. Effective web contents management call maximize users'satisfaction with personal customizing services for library users. Especially, contents customizing service using the metabrowsing service contributes to maximize the user'satisfaction by supplying core contents that the user seeks. In this paper, I studied the scheme of knowledge contents management to increase of user'satisfaction, concentrating on the management factors of web-based multimedia knowledge contents and service strategy.

A Study On Web Contents Accessibility of Hospital Web Sites in Korea (국내 의료기관의 규모별 웹 콘텐츠 접근성 현황에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, we investigated web contents accessibility of 60 hospital web sites in Korea. The eight evaluation criteria were used for estimating the web contents accessibility of the web sites. These criteria were as follows: providing an alternative text, providing caption for moving picture, providing a skip navigation, usage of pop-up windows, usage of a summary or a caption tag for data table, providing a page title, providing a label for online form, and usage of java scripts. K-WAH 3.0 was used for estimating five evaluation criteria. According to Internet web contents accessibility guideline 1.0, we estimated the rest three evaluation criteria manually and described good or bad examples for the evaluation results technically. The results show that the web accessibility of hospital web sites is generally insufficient and the constant interests in improvement for accessibility are urgently needed.

  • The collection management paradigm has drastically changed since the emergence of collection management activities on the internet. Due to the technological development of web, web has become the newly open field as a useful tool to facilitate collection management transactions. The purpose of this study is, by evaluating web sites of the university library’s collection management in United States, to construct the contents of collection management web site. To fulfill the purpose, 6 categories for the contents of the collection management web site are suggested. The result of this study can be used as the basic data for researching of collection management web site. Web site is playing a role of stepping up its activities and informing useful information on its selection tool and collection development policy.

  • With the rapid growth of internet infrastructure, World Wide Web is evolving recently into various services such as cloud computing, social network services. It simply go beyond the sharing of information. It started to provide new services such as E-business, remote control or management, providing virtual services, and recently it is evolving into new services such as cloud computing and social network services. These kinds of communications through World Wide Web have been interested in and have developed user-centric customized services rather than providing provider-centric informations. In these environments, it is very important to check and analyze the user requests to a website. Especially, estimating user preferences is most important. For these reasons, analyzing web logs is being done, however, it has limitations that the most of data to analyze are based on page unit statistics. Therefore, it is not enough to evaluate user preferences only by statistics of specific page. Because recent main contents of web page design are being made of media files such as image files, and of dynamic pages utilizing the techniques of CSS, Div, iFrame etc. In this paper, large log analyzer was designed and executed to analyze web server log to estimate web contents preferences of users. With mapreduce which is based on Hadoop, large logs were analyzed and web contents preferences of media files such as image files, sounds and videos were estimated.

  • At present Content Management Systems (CMS) with various and diverse web contents have been in wide applications. But, for CMS of each enterprise has its own metadata which is very different from others, it causes the serious problem of web contents repetition. Also, it's a difficult technology to support protecting copyright of web contents which are in separated CMSs. Therefore, in this paper, we solved the problem of contents repetition through metadata integration between mutually heterogeneous CMSs. We also propose the technology of web contents authentication code for avoiding contents repetition and applying digital rights protection by supporting safe ship in vast quantity of contents.

  • We evaluated structured web site contents construct method. The method for construction web contents was considered. The construction procedure is as follows. Elicit "user requirement" and the web management side needs. Mark a check where each line and row corresponds to clarify the relation between both in the matrix by which user requirements and the purposes are arranged in lines and rows. To understand the systematic feature of the web site itself, "grasping information" and "structuring" are necessary. We actually constructed web site contents of a theatrical company using this method. and we got the construction of existing web site contents of another theatrical company. We compared our constructed web site contents with the existing web site contents. Finally, we evaluated this method and testified that this method is useful.

  • The Internet advances and the documents of existing Is provided on web. An amount of data is increased through amendment and addition of information. The web is wide and is used and to follow the users of the majority which acquires information depend in web, the necessity of the data management by web is increasing. The sudden system failure frequently occurs from network environment, we must protect data from this danger. In this paper, we present data management system, which is composed of backup and restoration. This system provides systematic, efficient and stable data management on web.

  • This study examines the concept of contents and contents management. This study, then, analyses contents management systems in terms of contents creation, storage and service. Finally, it suggests some recommendations for implementing contents management systems. The suggestions of the study can be used for implementing effective Web content management in the future.
