웹은 지금까지의 문자 위주의 응용에서 벗어나, 그림, 동영상과 같은 멀티미디어 자료를 브라우저를 통해 접근할 수 있도록 하여, 점차 많은 응용분야에서 사용되고 있다. 최근에 들어서는 데이타베이스와 웹의 연동을 통해, 보다 다양하고, 양질의 웹 서비스를 지원하고자 하는 노력으로, 많은 연구자들이 웹 통로에 대한 많은 연구로 좋은 결과를 내고 있다. 그러나 웹과 데이타베이스의 연동에 있어 필요한 웹 트랜잭션 처리시 발생하는 문제에 있어서는 아직까지 만족할 만한 연구결과가 제시되지 않고 있다.본 논문에서는 웹 통로에서 웹 트랜잭션 처리를 위한 시스템인 WebTP를 제안하고, 이를 구현하였다. WebTP는 워크, 워크-전역변수 등을 도입하여, 웹 응용 단위에서의 저장점 설치와 부분 철회와 트랜잭션 상태 관리 기법을 제공하여, 시스템의 가용성과 안정성을 높이며, 구조적인 웹 응용작성이 가능토록 하여, 복잡한 웹 응용 개발을 돕는다.Abstract Enabling users to access multi-media data like images and motion pictures, in addition to the traditional text-based data, Web becomes a popular platform for various applications. Recently, many researchers have paid a large amount of works on integrating Web and databases to improve the quality of Web services, and have produced many noticeable results on this area. However, no enough research results have been presented on processing Web transactions that are essential in integrating Web and databases.In this paper, we have designed and implemented WebTP, which is a Web transaction processing system for Web gateways to databases. WebTP, by introducing work and work-global-variables, provides a more robust state management, supports application-level savepoints and partial rollbacks. It also nhances productity by providing a modular way to develop Web applications.

웹 응용이 급격히 증가하고 있고, 그 구조 또한 매우 복잡해지고 있다. 그러나 사용자가 복잡한 웹 응용 컨텐츠를 항해할 때, 현재 위치를 파악하지 못하거나 또는 원하는 정보를 얻지 못하는 경우가 잦다. 따라서 웹 응용 컨텐츠 항해를 모델링하기 위한 체계적인 접근 방법이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 웹 응용의 적응하는 문맥-기반 컨텐츠 항해 모델링 프레임워크를 제안한다. 본 프레임워크에서는 항해 분석, 항해 설계, 그리고 항해 실현 둥의 활동을 수행한다. 항해 분석 활동에서는 항해 관점에 초점을 두고 유즈케이스를 사용하여 영역 분석을 한다. 항해 설계 활동은 항해 정보 모델, 프로파일, 그리고 항해 인터페이스 모델을 생성한다. 마지막으로, 항해 실현 활동에서는 웹 응용 메타 모델을 정의하고 웹 페이지 항해 모델과 컴포넌트 항해 모델을 정의한다. 또한 본 연구에서는 항해 모델의 유효성을 검사하기 위한 정형적인 정의와 규칙을 제시한다.

레거시 시스템이나 특정 벤더의 애플리케이션이 혼재 되어 있는 기존 IT 환경에서 새로운 기술을 도입한다는 것은 많은 비용과 시간이 소요되는 작업이다. 특히 특정 소프트웨어나 일부 상용 애플리케이션에서 상호 연동성이 높지 않은 경우 이러한 상황이 더 많이 발생하며 시스템 도입 중 예상하지 못하는 상황이 발생할 가능성이 높아 새로운 애플리케이션을 적용하는 시간이 더욱 길어지게 된다. 서비스 지향 아키텍처를 기본으로 인터넷 애플리케이션을 생성하면 연결된 시스템 구성에 대해 유연한 처리 방법과 느슨한 결합을 기반으로 하는 아키텍처를 구현 할 수 있다. 이러한 접근방식은 XML 기반의 Web Service를 활용하여 서비스의 통합과 재사용을 통해 복잡한 처리를 요구하는 인터넷 환경의 워크플로우 모델 개발의 가능성을 살펴보고, 하나의 복잡한 비즈니스 프로세스와 다양한 서비스들이 워크플로우를 통해 재사용 될 수 있는 방법을 제안한다.

Korea-China with the fastest speed Internet Broad Band, has achieved many progresses on Internet shopping. Especially, Korea has made a great effort on comparison website construction. A research prototype design and exploratory analysis are presented to assess success factors and impacts of Korea and China price comparison websites. For different user groups, the relationships between the characteristics of technology and tasks, usage, and organizational impacts were analysed. It shows us how to improve the applicability of fit-viability of the price comparison web sites in China after analysis. These results indicate a need for simple but highly functional price comparison applications. And we designed a sample model to include an interactive web service system for price comparison sites that complement existing information systems. This paper provides a basis for further research aiming to improve the design and management of business applications based on emerging technologies of web service and browser for information management.

개인용 컴퓨터 성능의 발전과 각 사용자의 보편적인 Network 발전으로 인하여 무리없이 구현되는 3D 환경에 힘입어 이제는 Web에서 자연스런 가상현실과 3차원 환경의 구현을 위해서 Web3D가 확장 가능한 마크업으로 구성되어 X3D로 표현되게 되면 재집결성과 페이지 통합기능, 그리고 차세대 Web과의 통합문제의 관점에서 더 강력하게 효율적인 표현을 가능하게 한다. 이 논문에서는 이러한 X3D를 위한 Viewer의 설계를 위해 Java3D를 이용하여 최적화되고 Network상에서 강력한 성능을 발휘할 수 있는 3D Viewer의 구현에 대해 연구해 보고, 이를 더욱 발전시키는 역할을 할 수 있는 계기가 될 수 있다.

This paper reviews how to access the ergonomic information through internet-the world-wide computer networks. Recently, with the growth of hypertext type Internet-the WWW (World-Wide Web), it becomes much easier to access to the Internet and we can retrieve information very effeciently. In order to search the ergonomic information, this paper also reviews the famous Web search engines like Lycos, Web Crawler, and meta-indices like YAHOO. Also, useful Web-sites of ergonomics/human factors such as ErgoWeb are summarised.

The web is one of the most plentiful sources of images. The web has an immediate need for image processing technology in Java. This paper provides a practical introduction to statistical image processing using Java on the web. The paper describes how images are represented in Java and deals with four image processing operations based on basic statistical methods: point processing, spatial filtering, edge detection and image segmentation.

In a very time, the Internet has affected the lives of millions of peoples. Some serious advances have been made in software development, information exchange, publishing, database retrieval, educational opportunities, commercial expansion, political awareness, and more. But this network of network is still in its infancy. More advanced search concept, World Wide Web(or Web) will continue to help users move boldly onto the information highway. It help user work effectively and efficiently. In this article, we explain how to utilize web to enhance research in Industrial Engineering area.

Driven by the growth of the Internet and the increasing ubiquity of embedded computing systems, the embedded system is exploding in terms of it proliferation of products and the number of complex applications. Intelligent dedicated systems and appliances used in interface, monitoring, communications, and control applications increasingly demand the services of a sophisticated, state-of-the-art operating system. In the case of industrial controller, it is required to use a real-time operating system (RTOS) as a good building block to enable Internet connectivity. However, commercial RTOSes are increasingly less desirable due to their lack of standardization and their inability to keep pace with the rapid evolution of technology. In order to overcome these problems, we consider using embedded Linux and embedded web server. Availability of source code, reduced licensing, reliability, open source community support, as well as others, are key reasons for the use of embedded linux by embedded developers. In this paper, we develop embedded linux platform to control the industrial inverter with the Internet connecting feature. The method of web-based management is also proposed by using the embedded web server and Java applet. We show the feasibility of remote management for the commercial inverter controller with the proposed three-tier web-based remote management system.
