실시간 기상 정보를 이용한 최적 항로 안전 평가 시스템의 연구 (A Study on the Optimum Navigation Route Safety Assessment System using Real Time Weather Forecasting)

  • 예로부터 선장은 경험적으로 기상, 선박 제원 상태 및 운항 일정을 고려하여 최적의 항로를 선택하여 항해하여 왔다. 이는 선장의 경험을 바탕으로 해류나 파랑에 대한 기상 예보 정보를 활용하여 최적항로를 결정하는 것으로 아직까지 선상에서 항로 결정을 보조해주는 디지털화한 시스템은 그 사례를 찾아보기 힘들다. 본 논문에서는 선박의 운항 효율성과 안전성의 관점에서 구성된 선상 최적 항로 안전 평가 시스템을 소개한다. 선사와 선장이 요구하는 효율적인 항해를 위해서는 도착예정시간 및 연료소모량을 최소로 하는 최적 항로를 구한다. 이는 선박의 파랑 중 부가저항에 기초를 둔 선속 저하 빚 마력 증가를 고려하여 계산한다. 안전성 관점에서는 3D 판넬법에 기초를 둔 선박의 내항 계산을 본 시스템에서 구현하여 내항 평가를 수행하며, 최종적으로 선박의 항로 안전 계획 및 평가를 위한 보조 수단이다.

경의선장단역증기기관차의 부식방지를 위한 왁스계 피복제 내후성 시험 연구 (A Study on the Testing of Weather Resistance of Anti-corrosion Wax Covering Agents in the Locomotive at Jangdan Station of Gyeongui Line)

  • 야외 전시되는 철제문화재 보존을 위해서 유물 표면을 피복처리 하는 것은 부식방지의 대표적인 방법이다. 근대문화유산 제78호 경의선장단역증기기관차는 보존조치 후 노천에서 전시될 예정이라서 기관차의 재부식 예방에 효과적인 표면 피복재를 내후성 실험을 통해 선별하였다. 실험재료는 기관차 표면 피복에 주로 사용되는 미정질 왁스 2종과 봉밀왁스를 기반으로 제조한 혼합왁스를 선별하였다. 실험방법은 3종의 왁스를 기관차 시편에 각각 피복하고 ISO 4892-1981 기준에 따라 제논아크촉진내후성시험기 속에서 1000시간 내후성 시험을 한 후 그 변화상을 비교 조사하였다. 실험결과 봉밀 왁스는 400시간 이후부터 표면에 백화현상이 발생하면서 노화하였고 미정질 왁스 2종은 800시간 이후부터 변화를 보였다. 시험전과 후 수분접촉각의 변화 역시 봉밀 왁스 보다 미정질 왁스가 적게 나타났다. 따라서 미정질 왁스 중 특히 고온형이 내후성과 수분 차단력이 가장 뛰어난 것으로 확인되어서 이것으로 증기기관차의 표면을 피복하게 되었다.

한국 목조건축물 단청 바탕처리에 대한 내후성 연구 (A Study of Weather Resistance on Dancheong Ground Treatment of Tranditional Wooden Building in Korea)

  • 본 논문은 단청 포수 방법 중, 아교수와 교반수처리 방법에 대해 내후성 평가를 하여, 단청의 보존성 향상에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 시편은 아교수와 교반수(아교 건조중량의 명반 2%, 5%, 7%)의 점도와 pH 측정을 진행하였으며, 포수층 없음, 아교수 포수층, 교반수 포수층 등 3유형으로 분류 후, 각 저농도(2% 4회), 고농도(10% 1회)로 구분하였다. 이후 바탕층 형성유무에 따라 2차 분류 하여 뇌록·석간주·장단 3종의 가칠 안료를 채색하였다. 완성된 시편은 내후성 평가를 위해 환경변화실험을 진행하였으며, 실험 전·후 표면관찰, 색차변화 등을 분석하였다. 연구결과, 명반 5% 교반수(pH 평균 4.5)와 명반 7% 교반수(pH 평균 4.7)는 강산성에 근접하여 향후 단청의 보존에 영향을 미칠 수 있으며, 명반 7%의 높은 점도는 포수층을 견고하게 만들기 어려울 것으로 판단된다. 또한 자외선 조사 후, 명반 7% 시편에서 황변화가 가장 확연하게 나타났으며 흡습·건조 후, 시편 전체 표면에서 균열이 발견되어 물리적 변화를 확인하였다. 가스부식은 타 실험과 비교 시 색상과 표면상태 변화의 확인이 어려웠다. 결과적으로, 안정적인 포수층의 형성은 중성에 가까운 저농도 아교수와, 명반 2%의 교반수가 적합할 것이며, 명반 2% 교반수의 적용은 단청의 보존에 긍정적일 것으로 파악된다.

Speed-Power Performance Analysis of an Existing 8,600 TEU Container Ship using SPA(Ship Performance Analysis) Program and Discussion on Wind-Resistance Coefficients

  • This study discusses data collection, calculation of wind and wave-induced resistance, and speed-power analysis of an 8,600 TEU container ship. Data acquisition system of the ship operator was improved to obtain the data necessary for the analysis, which was accomplished using SPA (Ship Performance Analysis, Park et al., 2019) in conformation with ISO15016:2015. From a previous operation profile of the container, the standard operating conditions of mean draft were 12.5 m and 13.6 m, which were defined with the mean stowage configuration of each condition. Model tests, including the load-variation test, were conducted to validate new ship performance and for the speed-power analysis. The major part of the added resistance of container ship is due to the wind. To check the reliability of wind-resistance calculation results, the resistance coefficients, added resistance, and speed-power analysis results using the Fujiwara regression formula (ISO15016:2015) and Computational fluid dynamics (Ryu et al., 2016; Jeon et al., 2017) analysis were compared. Wind speed and direction measured using an anemometer were used for wind-resistance calculation and the wave resistance was calculated using the wave-height and direction-data from weather information. Also, measured water temperature was used to calculate the increase in resistance owing to the deviation in water density. As a result, the SPA analysis using measured data and weather information was proved to be valid and able to identify the ship's resistance propulsion performance. Even with little difference in the air-resistance coefficient value, both methods provide sufficient accuracy for speed-power analysis. The differences were unnoticeable when the speed-power analysis results using each method were compared. Also, speed-power analysis results of the 8,600 TEU container ship in two draft conditions show acceptable trends when compared with the model test results and are also able to show power increase owing to hull fouling and aging. Thus, results of speed-power analysis of the existing 8,600 TEU container ship using the SPA program appropriately exhibit the characteristics of speed-power performance in deal conditions.

포장노면 미끄럼 저항특성 (Skid Resistance Characteristics of Pavement Surface)

  • PURPOSES : Skid resistance on pavements plays an important role in reducing the risk of vehicle skidding on wet surface particularly. Almost 9.3 percent of traffic accidents were occurred under rainy condition and these are over-represented in terms of the severity of the crashes. Recently, unusual weather conditions referred widely as the intensified rainfalls justify the need of a systematic management of skid resistance. In this context, the study carried out the observational study on the skid resistance characteristics of different types of pavement with the time passage. METHODS : This study measured the skid resistance with Pavement Friction Tester at three times within five years. The skid resistance measurement has followed the method suggested by ASTM. RESULTS : As the main results under the scope of this study, skid resistance of asphalt concrete has not nearly reduced with time. On the contrary, skid resistance of cement concrete has been rapidly reduced with time though the highest resistance was gained at the early observation. Porous asphalt concrete shows a steady decrease of skid resistance with time, anyway, the reduction rate according to the increase of measurement speeds is relatively lower than the others. CONCLUSIONS : Based on our study, skid resistance of the pavement should be regarded as one of the pavement management system, so periodic measurement should be made to assure road safety as a whole.

혹한지역 기초 콘크리트의 내구성 향상을 위한 실험 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Improvement of Durability for the Foundation Concrete under Cold Weather Condition)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide the optimum mix design of cold weather concrete to be placed at the foundation structures in substation. The basic performance tests including slump and slump flow, air content, compressive strength and freezing & thawing resistance were conducted for cold weather concrete by varying with W/C ratios such as 40%, 50% and 60% and air contents such as 3%, 4%, 5% and 6%. The effect on durability of concrete corresponding to the increasing amount of air content and W/C ratio was evaluated and the optimum mix design was recommended. From this study, the concrete mix design containing 6% of air content and 45% of W/C ratio is recommended for the foundation concrete of substation.

  • There is a limitation for a ship which is sailing on sea to gather weather and seastate informations. To make up for this weakness , land organizations can gather wider variety of information and evaluate the seakeeping performance on ship. and supply this information to the ship. In this study, calculated the response amplitude of ship motions with the weather information provided in real time, the norminal speed loss with obtaining increased of resistance caused by wave and stochastic process of the seakeeping performance elements. And the results have been achieved to develop a system whichcan evaluate the synthetic seakeeping performance. Using this system , the results have been studied to determine the feasibility of using this simulation inactual operation onboard ship.

  • When fresh concrete is exposed to low temperature, the concrete may suffer frost damage due to freezing at early ages and strength development may be delayed. One of the solution methods for resolve these problems is to reduce freezing temperature of concrete by the use of chemical admixture called Accelerators for freezing resistance. In this study, we investigate the effect on strength development of cement mortar using accelerators for freezing resistance with the variance curing condition. As the result of this study, the mortar using accelerators for freezing resistance show that continuously strength development in curing condition of -5$^{\circ}C$. And compressive strength under the variance temperature condition was higher than constant temperature condition in same maturity.

  • In this study we compared corrosion resistance tests which were carried out according to the national technique standard and the UL standard to ensure the reliability of smoke detectors in foul weather. The sensitivity of smoke detectors became so blunt that the least operational smoke concentration was a maximum change of 13% in the national technique standard, while it was a maximum change of 145% in the UL standard. As a result of this study the test method of corrosion resistance was made an objective evaluation in the national technique standard. Therefore it could be said that a basis of developing the test method of corrosion resistance was prepared for our country.
