Strength Analysis for PAU Seat of FPSO (FPSO 선의 PAU SEAT 강도 해석)

  • This paper presents the results of the reliability analysis of PAU (Preliminary Assembly Unit) seat of the floating Production Storage and Off1-loading Unit (FPSO) The main aim of the analysis was to demonstrate that a sufficient safety of structural members is guaranteed against PAU loads, internal and external pressure, and hull girder moments. Topside loads for PAU design are based on owner's request. According to the seat type, topside loads are classified into maximum values of same seat type for design efficiency. Totally, 26 loading cases for each model are used for this analysis with the combination of the reactions of PAU loafing and the hull girder bending moments according to LR offshore (2). The analysis results are evaluated according to the acceptance criteria for yielding given in LR offshore and guidance note (3) and The panel buckling resistance is verified by LR offshore and SDA (4). For 900,000 bbls FPSO, the PAU support foundation analysis using 3-D F.E. model is carried out to verify the structural adequacy of PAU foundation and structure members in way of PAU. The modified structures in way of PAU support are safe against considered load cases and all stresses in way of PAU support are within design criteria.

Modeling and Active Control of an Air-Cell Seat for Ride-Comfort Improvement (승차감 향상을 위한 에어셀시트의 모델링 및 능동제어)

  • In this paper, an active vibration control with the use of an air-cell seat for passenger cars is investigated. The roles of the air-cell inserted between the polyurethane foam of the seat and seat cover are first to extend the seat's capability to adopt various shapes of human body and to improve the ride-comfort against road disturbances. The air-cell seat is modeled as a 1-d.o.f. spring-damper system. Because an exact modeling of the air-cell itself is alomost impossible, its dynamic characteristics are analyzed through experiments. A road-adaptive gain-scheduled sky-hook control for the air-cell seat system is proposed. The skyhook gains are scheduled in such a way that the acceleration level transmitted to human body on various road conditions is minimized. Simulations and experimental results are provided.

  • 어린이 도서관은 일상생활 가까이에서 지역주민에게 지식정보 서비스를 제공할 뿐 아니라 공공도서관과의 연계를 통해 우리나라 전체 도서관 서비스의 수준을 발전시키고자 하는 생활 친화적 문화기반 시설인 소규모 도서관(혹은 문고)시설이다. 즉 어린이 도서관은 접근성을 가장 큰 장점으로 하여 누구나 쉽고 편리하게 이용할 수 있는 고객중심의 공공도서관 서비스라고 할 수 있다. 어린이 도서관의 주 이용고객은 어린이와 주부로서 최근 이들이 함께 도서관을 이용하는 빈도가 증가하면서 어린이 도서관은 단순히 책을 빌리고 공부를 하는 장소에서 나아가 가족단위의 여가활동이 가능한 문화적 공간으로 변모하여가고 있다. 어린이 도서관은 기본적으로 책을 읽는 조용한 공간이지만 주 이용자가 6세 미만의 유아와 초등학교 저학년 어린이이기에 독서행위와 더불어 또래 친구들과의 친교행위. 부모님과의 정서적 유대감 형성행위, 소규모 근육활동과 같은 놀이행위가 병행된다. 또 어린이 도서관에서 사용되어지는 정형적인 모듈의 서가를 비롯한 입식. 좌식 테이블과 의자들은 소수의 디자이너에 의해 만들어진 것이지만 그것을 이용하는 다수의 어린이들은 디자이너의 의도와 방법에 따라 가구를 사용하는 것 외에도 환경적 컨텍스트에 맞추어 가구의 새로운 쓰임을 발견하며 훨씬 더 다채로운 방법으로 가구를 사용하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 독서 및 놀이 행위 시 아동-부모의 상호작용 방법에 기반하여 아동의 가구사용방법(Way of Seat)을 알아보고 이를 바탕으로 어린이의 행태정보를 모델링하여 가구를 사용하는 어린이의 다양한 행위 이면에 내재된 요구를 파악하는데 있다. 가구를 사용하는 어린이의 다양한 행태 이면에 내재한 어린이만의 특성과 요구를 알아보기 위해서는 먼저 어린이 도서관이라는 특수한 물리적 환경요인 및 사용자 컨텍스트(Context)에 대한 이해가 선행되어야 한다. 이를 위해 기반조사 및 어린이 도서관 방문을 통한 정황조사(Contextual Inquiry)를 실시하였다. 이를 통해 6세 미만의 유아와 초등학생의 가구사용방법(Way of Seat)과 독서 및 놀이 행위 시 행태를 관찰하여 Photo Based Research를 바탕으로 어린이의 행태정보를 모델링 하였다.

  • With the development of Information Communication Technology and a way of solving problems such as productivity improvement, advanced working attitude, greenhouse gas reduction, low birth rate, aged problem, etc., the need of smart work is increasing. Getting out of legacy working types that are limited in time and space, the flexible seat system at a smart work center that supports the smart working environment is proposed. However, the seat choice based on employee's emotional judgement may cause the decline of forming cooperative space and mutual communication because of the scattered seat arrangement between employees. This paper proposed a seat recommendation method for the mutual cooperation at a smart work center. The method is based on a work similarity of employees. A prototype system also implemented to show the feasibility.

Effect of seat height of chair on muscle activity of erector spinae and rectus abdominis (의자 좌면 높이가 척추 세움근과 배곧은근의 근 활성도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study examined the effects of the seat height of a chair on the muscle activity of the erector spinae and rectus abdominis. Thirty healthy subjects were asked to sit on chairs at three different seat heights. The muscle activities of both the erector spinae and rectus abdominis were measured by surface electromyography. The data were analyzed by repeated one way ANOVA and the muscle activity was compared according to the seat height. The alpha level was set to 0.05. The results showed that the muscle activities of the erector spinae were not significantly different among the three seat heights. The muscle activities of the rectus abdominis were significantly different among the three seat heights. Both the rectus abdominis muscle activities were significantly greater in the low seat height than the other seat heights. These results showed that the seat height of the chair affects the muscle activities of the rectus abdominis muscle, leading to musculoskeletal pain, such as low back pain. Therefore, the seat height of a chair with a correct sitting position is important for preventing musculoskeletal pain.

  • The construction of the transportation history database system is to serve the scheduling and seat inventory controling. Recently, lots of countries have been faced with the advance era because of the new railway transportation system, like the high speed railway and/or magnetic levitation vehicle system. This can be reasonably translated as those of operators are willing to provide the more various and high quality schedule to the customer. Those operators' these ideas make possible to forecast that scheduling process is going to be complicated more and more The seat inventory control, so to speak Yield Management System(YMS), goes a long way to improve the total passenger revenue at the railway business. The YMS forecasts the number of the last reservation value(DCP# END) and recommends the optimal values on the seat sales. The history database system contains infra-data(ie, train, seat, sales) that will be the foundation of scheduling and seat inventory control application programs. The development of the application programs are reserved to the next step. The database system is installed on the pc platform(IBM compatible), using the DB2(RDBMS). And at next step, the platform and DBMS will be considered whether they can meet the users' requirement or not.

  • This paper aims to ensure describe the a spring-back prevention technique for improving shape fixability by using an ultra-high strength steel sheet with 980 MPa to develop a lightweight seat rail parts. Ultra-high strength steel gives a potential for considerable weight reduction and a cost-effective way to produce energy efficient vehicles. The influence of a spring-back of seat rail parts on the shape fixability in forming processes was investigated to be solved by an adjustment of the appropriate tool design and process parameters. The computed results for improving shape fixability were in good agreement with the experimental results.

  • Motorized retractors enhance the safety of passengers by removing the slack of webbing and by holding upright driving position. Reliability of a driving mechanism that includes one-way clutch between the driving motor and webbing is directly linked to the safety of passenger. In this research, conditions for locking one-way clutch, and also conditions for sustaining locking are theoretically investigated. The operation of a motorized retractor under realistic conditions is simulated in order to validate the proposed retractor design.

  • This study is to find a way that improves the pedestrian environment in the main street in rural areas. The main streets of five local governments in Jeollanam-do, general towns and bases seat of a myeon office, were studied. The research results are as follows. First, all three groups under investigation required multi-purpose activities on main street. This is thought to be due to the maintenance of the main street with vehicle-centered maintenance, thereby revising the walking space around essential activities. Second, the simple size of the sidewalk width is not closely related to the safety of pedestrians, and it is judged that the pedestrian space should be maintained considering the size of the floating population, acceptable activities, and proper sidewalk width. Third, the center where pedestrian space and streetscape are maintained has spatial constraints on sidewalks and lanes, so there should be spatial flexibility. Also, it is necessary to find a way to minimize the occupancy of pedestrian roads due to ground parking lots in relation to pedestrian continuity. Fourth, improvement of walking environment should involve community activities other than physical improvement.

  • This paper introduces experimental results of whole-body vibration exposed through the contact area between automotive seat and human body. Such vibration experiment was carried out for five automotive seats in use and four Korean individuals. Interestingly, the quantitative assessment of the ride values of the tested seats do not only enable us to judge the footnotes the Korean technology in automotive seat has left so far, but also lead to the systematic way of improving their ride quality, in addition in Korean automotive seats raised in this paper.
