탄성파 속도를 이용한 간극비 산정 기법 연구 (Estimation of Void Ratio by Elastic Wave Velocities)

  • Many methods and techniques have been developed to obtain the accurate design parameters in soft soils. In particular, several researchers suggest the techniques to get the void ratio for understanding the soil behavior. The objective of this paper verifies the accuracy of the proposed analytical solution for determining the void ratio based on the elastic wave velocities. The paper covers the theories of Wood, Biot, Gassmann and Foti proposed chronological order. The total theory represents the wave propagation in fully saturated medium. To verify the proposed analytical solution, the laboratory and field tests are carried out. After measuring the elastic wave, the void ratios are assessed using proposed equation. The volume based void ratios are also obtained for comparing with the estimated value by several equations. The values estimated by volume, Gassmann and Biot are show good similarity. However, the void ratios based on Wood and Foti methods have a slightly different trend. This study suggests that the theories of Biot and Gassmann may be a useful equation for assessing the void ratio using elastic wave velocities in the field.

하절기 도시의 장.단파 복사특성 관측 (Study on Characteristics of Radiation Environment in the Urban through the Field Observation in the Summer)

  • The objective of this study is to analyze the characteristic of radiation environment in the urban and rural through the field observation in the summer. The radiation balance was compared through the measurement of the shortwave radiation and long-wave radiation in the urban, sub-urban, and rural. The following conclusion could be obtained from this research. (1) In the results of observation including the rain-day, it was found that the short wave radiance in the urban is lower about 10% than the rural. (2) The upper part of atmosphere layers in the urban area absorb much short wave radiation energies compared with the rural relatively. It can increase the temperature of the upper part of atmosphere layers and the emittance of long wave radiation. (3) The ratio of the downward short wave radiation to the downward long wave radiation was 1.24 for the urban, 1.28 for sub-urban and1.35 for rural. It can be estimated that the atmosphere condition of the rural is better than that of other areas.

Reflection of electro-magneto-thermoelastic plane waves in a rotating medium in context of three theories with two-temperature

  • In this paper, we established the generalized thermoelasticity phenomenon in an isotropic elastic medium considering the electromagnetic field, rotation and two-temperature. Three theories of generalized thermoelasticity have been applied: Lord-Shulman (one relaxation time), Green-Lindsay (two relaxation times), as well as the coupled theory. We discussed some particular cases in the context of the wave propagation phenomenon in thermoelasticity. From solving the fundamental equations, we arrived that there are three waves: P-, T- and SV-waves that we calculated their velocities. The boundary conditions for mechanical stress and Maxwell's stress and thermal insulated or isothermal have been applied to determine the amplitudes ratios (reflection coefficients) for P-, T - and SV waves. Some utilitarian aspects are obtained from the reflection coefficients, presented graphically, and the new conclusions have been presented. Comparisons are made for the results predicted by different theories (CT, LS, GL) in the absence and presence of the electro-magnetic field, rotation, as well as two-temperature on the reflection of generalized thermoelastic waves. The results obtained concluded that the external parameters as the angle of incidence, electromagnetic field, rotation as well as the theories parameters have strong effect on the phenomenon.

  • 기존의 디스크리트 멀티채널 오디오 재생 방식에 비해 보다 나은 현장감과 공간감을 제공할 수 있는 Wave Field Synthesis(WFS)에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 그러나 다수의 라우드스피커를 청취자를 둘러싸는 형태로 설치해야 하는 구조적 제약 및 별도로 가공된 객체 오디오 소스가 있어야 한다는 조건 등으로 인해 대형 청취 공간을 제외하고는 많이 활용되지 못하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점에 기초하여 가정과 같은 협소한 공간에서도 WFS의 장점을 활용할 수 있는 방안에 대해서 소개한다.

연안역 개발에 따른 해안과정의 변화 (The Change of Nearshore Processes due to the Development of Coastal Zone)

  • The construction of the coastal structures and reclamation work causes the circulation reduced in the semi-closed inner water area and the unbalanced sediment budget of beach results in an alteration of beach topography. Among the various fluid motions in the nearshore zone water particle motion due to wave and wave-induced currents are the most responsible for sediment movement. Therefore it is needed to predict the effect of the environmental change because of development and so the prediction of wave transformation dose. The purpose of this study is to introduce the relation between waves wave-induced currents and sediment movement. In this study we will show numerical method using energy conservation equation involving reflection diffraction and reflection and the surfzone energy dissipation term due to wave breaking is included in the basic equation. For the wave-induced current the momentum equation was combined with radiation stresses lateral mixing and friction Various information is required in the prediction of wave-induced current depending on the prediction tool. We can predict changes in wave-induced current from the distribution of wave especially near the wave breaking zone. To evaluate these quantities we have to know the local condition of waves mean sea level and so on. The results from the wave field and wave-induced current field deformation models are used as input data of the sediment transport and bottom change model. Numerical model were established by a finite difference method then were applied to the development plan of the eastern Pusan coastal zone Yeonhwa-ri and Daebyun fishing port. We represented the result with 2-D graphics and made comparison between before and after development.

부유 플랩형 고조방파제의 파랑응답 - 수치모의 (Wave Responses of Buoyant Flap-typed Storm Surge Barriers - Numerical Simulation)

  • 본 논문에서는 부유 플랩형 고조방파제의 응답특성에 대해서 연구하였다. 효율적인 연구를 위하여 파동장은 선형 포텐셜 이론을 적용하여 모형화하였으며, 구조물의 운동은 Newton의 운동 제2법칙을 사용하여 나타내었다. 유체 영역은 통상의 2차 보간함수를 갖는 등매개변수요소로 모형화하였으며, 방사경계조건에 접하는 외부 영역은 무한요소로 처리하였다. 수리실험결과와의 비교를 통하여 수립된 수치모델의 타당성을 입증하였으며, 개발된 수치모델을 이용하여 마산만에 부유 플랩형 고조방파제 적용가능성에 대해서 살펴보았다.

투과성 해안구조물 내-외부 파동장의 수리특성에 관한 순치모의 (Numerical Simulation of Internal-External Wave Field Interaction in Permeable Coastal Structures)

  • This study investigated interactions between the internal-external wave field of a permeable coastal structure consisting of rubble. The study examined the application criteria of an existing numerical model (CADMAS-SURF V.4.0) and proposed a modified method to provide reasonable results. In particular, the study focused on and emphasized the water surface profiles in front of a structure, wave run-up/run-down on a slope, and internal water level fluctuations due to the drag coefficient and porosity of a rubble mound structure. In conclusion, the result show that when the vertical fluctuations of the internal water levels in permeable coastal structures exhibited high-quality representation. Sane responses can be seen for wave run-up/run-down characteristics on its slopes.

경사적 방파제의 간극수압 결정을 위한 수치해석 (Numerical Analysis on the Determination of Pore Pressures inside Rubble Mound Breakwater)

  • 경사식 방파제의 파동장 및 간극수압을 결정하기 위한 기존의 수치모델(박 등, 2002)을 개선하여 간극 수압의 예측성을 제고하기 위한 수치해석기법을 수립하였다. 내부 간극수압이 수치적 재현이 매우 어려운 전사면(前斜面) 비선형 파동장에 크게 의존함을 고려하여 본 수치해석에서는 수리실험을 통하여 前斜面 파압정보(진폭과 위상)를 도출, 수치해석에 입력하였다. 경계요소법을 이용하여 내부 파동장을 해석한 다음, 내부의 간극수압을 결정하였다. 기존의 계측결과와 비교한 결과, 계산치와 계측치의 일치 정도가 현저히 개선된 것으로 나타났다.

표준관입시험을 이용한 업홀시험에서 전단파 속도 주상도의 도출 (Evaluation of Shear Wave Velocity Profiles by Performing Uphole Test Using SPT)

  • 본 논문에서는 지반의 전단파 속도 주상도를 획득하기 위한 현장 시험법으로 표준관입시험 샘플러를 가진원으로 이용한 업홀 시험기법을 연구하였다. 제안된 업홀 시험은 지표면에 여러 개의 속도계를 시추 장비로부터 일정한 간격으로 한 줄로 배치를 하고 표준관입시험의 시료 채취기로부터 발생되는 진동원의 신호를 계측하여 지반의 전단파속도 주상도를 도출하는 방법이다. 여러 선행 실험을 통하여 확립된 업홀 시험 방법 및 결과 분석법에 대해 소개하였다. 진동원과 감지기간의 거리가 멀기 때문에 지반에서 진행되는 전단파의 진행 경로는 지반의 강성 변화에 근거한 굴절 경로를 적용하였다. 국내 3개 시힘 부지에서 수행한 업홀 시힘결과를 동일 부지에서 행한 다운홀, SASW시험 및 SPT-N치와 비교하여 봄으로써 제안된 업홀 시험의 현장 적용성을 확인하였다.

N값과 전단파 속도의 상관식 비교 (Comparison of Correlation Equations between N value and Shear Wave Velocity)

  • Shear modulus has been recognized as one of the important soil properties in dynamic analysis of ground and can be calculated from in situ measurement of shear wave velocity. Field seismic tests are the most accurate but expensive methods to investigate dynamic ground characteristics. Due to that reason, empirical equations for estimating the shear wave velocity are widely used rather than conducting in-situ tests. The most common equations are based on the N value obtained in conjuctions with a standard penetration test. In this paper, the field datas of standard penetration test and suspension PS logging measured in 126 sites of Korea were summarized and the correlation equations between N value and shear wave velocity are suggested.
