This paper reports a novel mobile-type wave energy harvesting system. The proposed system adopts a wave glider's propulsion mechanism. A wave glider's blades were mounted on a circular layout and generated a rotational motion. Combining the wave converting system with the wave glider, a mobile floating-type robotic buoy system was developed. It enabled the relocation of the buoy position, as well as station-keeping for long term operation. It had a small size and could efficiently harvest wave energy. A feasibility study and modeling were carried out, and a prototype system was constructed. Various tank tests were performed to optimize the proposed wave energy harvesting system.
In these days, many advanced nations have enforced import restrictions against things emitting electromagnetic wave which has report that it is so harmful. In general, electromagnetic wave is composed of electric wave and magnetic wave. The reflection of electromagnetic wave is mainly reflected by conductive materials and the magnetism loss is generated by magnetic ferrite. The magnetism loss of ferrite is separated by eddy current loss, residual magnetism loss and hysteresis loss. Thermal sprayed coating is intended to manufacture because of simple processes and high efficient electromagnetic wave shielding. The high efficient thermal sprayed coatings were made from the magnetic ferrite materials that characterizes absorption of electromagnetic wave, and the electric conductive materials that characterize emitting of electromagnetic wave. This study was manufactured thermal sprayed coatings to improve absorption-efficiency, and measured the electromagnetic wave shielding efficiency. As the experimental results, high electromagnetic wave shield efficiency was obtained at wave frequency 2GHz to thermal sprayed ferrite coatings manufactured by size distribution range of spray powders, $38~88\mu\textrm{m}$.
Application of digital filter to the wave analysis is studied using the observed data by wave gauge. Sea wave data obtained from wave gauge always include long wave frequency components. In order to estimate the sea wave parameters, we must re-analyzed wave data by using a digital filter and the concept of mean sea level correction method. By the wave by wave analysis and spectral methods, sea wave parameters on the basis of wave data obtained by the conventional method and digital filter are compared. The best-fitted design filter determined by the necessary conditions of frequency responses, can be obtained by calculating various transfer functions. Thus, to get the best the digital filter design, both Butterworth filter and Savitzky-Golay filter of digital filter are used in the frequency and time domain, respectively. Three cases of observation wave data are calculated by applying digital filter. The components of different frequency bands in the surf zone are coexisted in three cases. The wave data for wind wave components is computed using the digital filter the surf zone and off-surf zone, and based on the filtered data, wave parameters are calculated by the spectral analysis and wave by wave analysis methods, respectively. As a results, when sea wave data observed by wave gauge are analyzed, the Savitzky-Golay method is recommended which can well appear cut-off frequency by experimental choosing filter length in the time domain. The better mean sea level correction method is the Butterworth filter in the frequency domain.

The aim of this study was estimated the characteristics of the wave propagation by the water level conditions using a numerical modeling method at the Wando sea area. For three cases numerical simulation on the condition of incident and incoming of the deepwater design wave and the season normal wave, the spatial distribution of the incident wave at study area were investigated. And the calculated numerical modeling results were compared with measured field wave data. According to on-site wave data measured for 18 days, the range of the significant wave height and period were 0.10~1.14 m, 4.35~8.74 sec, respectively, and the maximum wave height were 0.15~1.66 m. From the results of numerical model for offshore design wave incident, the wave height attacked from Southern-East direction at this study area were over maximum 10.5 m because of rapidly change of water depth. Numerical modeling by three water level conditions of Approxmate Lowest Low Water Level(Approx. L.L.W), Mean Sea Level(M.S.L) and Approximate Highest High Water Level(Approx. H.H.W) were practiced. From the results for the case of Approx. H.W.L, variations of wave height at the back area of islands were about 1.6 m at maximum value for the case of deepwater design wave incoming. The significant wave heights of winter season were bigger than summer under normal wave condition, the incident wave height over 5.5 m decreased by shielding effect of islands. The change of maximum wave height at summer season were distinct than winter and was about 1.2 m and 0.8 m, respectively.

The segment of the piston type wave board has been expressed as a submerged vertical line segment in the two dimensional wave flume. Either end of vertical line segment representing wave board could be located in fluid domain from free surface to the bottom of the flume. Naturally the segment could be extended from the bottom to the free surface of the flume. It is assumed that the piston motion of the wave board could be defined by the sinusoidal oscillation in horizontal direction. Simplified analytic solution of the submerged segment of wave board has been derived through the first order perturbation method in water of finite depth. The analytic solution has been utilized in expressing the wave generated by the piston type wave board installed on the upper or lower half of the flume. The wave form derived by the analytic solution have been compared with the wave profile obtained through the CFD calculation for the either of the above cases. It is appeared that the wave length and the wave height are coincided each other between analytic solution and CFD calculation. However the wave form obtained by CFD calculations are more closer to real wave form than those from analytic calculation. It is appeared that the linear solutions could be not only superposed by segment but also integrated by finite elements without limitation. Finally it is proven that the wave generated by the oscillation of flap type wave board could be derived by integrating the wave generated by the sinusoidal motion of the finite segment of the piston type wave board.

Recently, as the offshore structures are operated in the deep-sea oil fields, interest in the analysis of relative wave elevation around platforms is increased. In this study, it is examined how the analysis results differ depending on the characteristics of the wave probe when interpreting the relative wave elevation in the model test. First, by conducting the wave probe comparison experiment in the two-dimensional wave tank, it is confirmed how the measured values differ according to the type of wave probe for the same physical phenomenon. Two types of wave probe are selected, the resistance type and the capacitance type, and the causes of the difference in measured values is studied. After that, the model test of the semi-submersible platform is conducted to investigate the relative wave elevation. Relative wave elevation is measured with the wave probes used in the wave probe comparison experiment and analyzed to estimate the asymmetric factor and the extreme upwell. The results between the two types of wave probes are compared, and qualitative study for the cause of the difference is conducted by photographing the physical phenomenon using a high-speed camera. Through the above study, it is confirmed that the capacitance type wave probe shows a larger measured value than the resistance type under the breaking-wave condition, and the same results are obtained for the asymmetric factor and the extreme upwell. These results is thought to be due to the difference in the measurement principle between wave probes, which is whether or not they measured water bubbles. This implies that the model test should be conducted using appropriate wave probes by considering the physical phenomenon to be analyzed.

Both full linear and shallow water edge waves are compared to get a better understanding of edge wave behavior. By using method of separation of variables, we are able to get solution of full linear edge wave presented by Ursell (1952) without derivation. The shallow water edge waves show dispersive features despite being derived from shallow water equations. When bottom slope is mild enough, shallow water edge wave tends to linear edge wave and has some advantages of manipulation. Solution of edge wave generated by a moving landslide of Gaussian shape is constructed by an expansion of shallow water normal modes. Numerical results are presented and discussed on their main features.
The wave-generation performance of a piston-type wave maker was analyzed using the numerical wave tank technique, and the numerical results were compared with theoretical solutions. A two-dimensional frequency domain analysis was conducted based on the Rankine panel method. Various parameters were used to examine the wave-generation performance, such as the width and gap of the wave board. The effects of the thickness of the wave board and of the gap from the bottom of the tank were evaluated. The difference in the amplitude of the generated wave between the analytical solution and the numerical result was examined, and its causes were addressed due to the gap flow between the bottom of the tank and the wave board. This parametric analysis can be utilized to design an optimum wave make parametric analysis to design an optimum wave maker that can generate waves with amplitudes that can be predicted accurately.
Human hair could be damaged by various physicochemical conditions and treatment. Permanent and decoloring treatment were the most serious factor on hair damage. The new permanent wave lotion containing Permeation enhancers such as Cremophor EL, Transcutol and propylene glycol based on cysteine permanent wave lotion were prepared. Efficiency of permanent wave and hair damage following pH of permanent wave lotion and addition of permeation enhancer were investigated. PH of solution, wave efficiency, loss of protein from hair, morphology of hair by SEM and solubility of alkaline solution were evaluated. The addition of Cremophor EL and Transcutol with ethanol increased permanent wave efficacy and decreased hair damage effectively. They diminished permanent wave lotion's pH and augmented permanent wave lotion's penetration compare to cysteine permanent wave lotion. new permanent wave lotion containing permeation enhancers such as Cremophor EL could be a good candidate for a new permanent wave lotion.

In this study, we conducted a numerical simulation using Navier-Stokes Solver (HYMO-WASS-3D) in order to analyze wave attenuation under wave-current interaction found in existing hydraulic experiments. It showed that wave energy and wave height are reduced as the wave propagates in coexisting fields between waves and currents. And the wave attenuation became more serious as the velocity of current and thus turbulence intensity were increased at wave-current coexisting field. As well, the wave attenuation became more serious with lower wave height and shorter period when the wave propagates the same distance under interactions between waves and currents.
