  • Even though algorithms for watermark embedding and extraction step are important issue for digital watermarking, watermark selection and post-processing can give us an opportunity to improve our algorithms and achieve higher performance. For this reason, we summarized the possibilities of improvements for digital watermarking by referring to the watermark merging techniques rather than embedding and extraction algorithms in this paper. We chose Cox's function as main embedding and extraction algorithm, and multiple barcode watermarks as a watermark. Each bit of the multiple copies of barcode watermark was embedded into a gray-scale image with Cox's embedding function. After extracting the numbers of watermark, we applied the watermark merging techniques; including the simple merging, N-step iterated merging, recover merging and combination of iterated-recover merging. Main consequence of our paper was the fact of finding out how multiple barcode watermarks and merging techniques can give us opportunities to improve the performance of algorithm.

  • In this paper, we propose the new audio watermarking method and can be used on line processing. Instead of the wavelet transform, we use the integer wavelet transform for the reduction of the computational load. The watermark associated with the chi-square distribution is inserted into the signal on the integer wavelet domain. When extracting the watermark, the spread spectrum methods are used with the coefficients associated with the covariance sequence. We show that the chi-square distribution is a good tool for the spread spectrum method on the wavelet domain. This watermarking technique may be used for the control of the electrical product which can be controlled with the hidden signals and can be moved according to the audible signals simultaneously.

  • The common requirements for watermarking are usually invisibility, robustness, and capacity. We proposed the watermarking for 3D mesh model based on projection onto convex sets for invisibility and robustness among requirements. As such, a 3D mesh model is projected alternatively onto two convex sets until it converge a point. The robustness convex set is designed to be able to embed watermark into the distance distribution of vertices. The invisibility convex set is designed for the watermark to be invisible based on the limit range of vertex movement. The watermark can be extracted using the decision values and index that the watermark was embedded with. Experimental results verify that the watermarked mesh model has both robustness against mesh simplification, cropping, affine transformations, and vertex randomization and invisibility.

  • Recently, many studies about digital watermarking have been doing, and their purpose is to protect copyright of multimedia data. In this paper, the performances of digital watermarkings, in order to hide information of copyright into digital images, are analyzed. The watermarks embedded in subbands on wavelet transform domain are transformed by the processing such as image compression, and the degree of the transformation in each subband depend on its statistical characteristics. That says, we must consider the characteristics of subbands for better watermarking.

  • A watermark is a signal added to the original signal in order to preserve the copyright of the owner of the digital content. The basic challenge for designing a watermarking system is a dilemma between transparency and robustness. If we want a higher rate of transparency, there has to be a compromise in terms of its robustness and vice versa. Also, until now, watermarking is generalized, resulting in the need for a specialized algorithm to work for a specialized image processing application domain. Our proposed technique takes into consideration the image characteristics for watermark insertion and it optimizes transparency and robustness. It achieved a 99.98% retrieval efficiency for an image blurring attack and counterfeits other attacks. Our proposed technique counterfeits almost all of the image processing attacks.

  • We proposed a semi-blind digital image watermarking technique for copyright protection. The proposed algorithm embedded a binary sequence watermark into significant wavelet coefficients by using a quantization method. The main idea of the quantization method was to quantize a middle coefficient of the triplet of a significant wavelet coefficient according to the watermark's value. Unlike an existing algorithm, which used a random location table to find a coefficient in which the watermark bit will be embedded: the proposed algorithm used quad-tree decomposition to find a significant wavelet coefficient for embedding. For watermark detection, an original host image was not required. Thanks to the usage of significant wavelet coefficients, the proposed algorithm improved the correlation value, up to 0.43, in comparison with the existing algorithm.

  • In this paper. we propose a digital watermarking method for still images in the discrete cosine transform (DCT) domain. The adaptive watermark insertion method in the high frequency region within a given image is employed to increase the invisibility of the inserted watermark in images, in which variable block-size method is used for selection of the high frequency region. Experimental results show that the proposed watermarking method is robust to several common image processing techniques. including joint photographic experts group (JPEG) compression, lowpass filtering, multiple watermarking, and croppIng.

  • This paper proposed a novel vector digital watermarking method to protect copyright. The proposed method embeds watermarks after finding the closest pair of points and calculating the distance of the points. We tested the robustness of the method through several attacks on watermarked data. The experimental results show that the proposed method has more robustness than previous methods. And the new method doesn't change the topology of the vector data. Therefore, this method can be 'the vector digital watermarking for GIS.

  • The illegal copy of computer software have been one of the most serious threats in information society. But a number of protection schemes to solve it have proposed, there are a lot of difficulties for prevention from illegally distributing software through emerging Internet environments. In this paper, we propose a software watermarking scheme for Java programs which it have been popular on the Internet. The proposed scheme can be efficiently implemented and provide a robust software watermark for the protection of the copyright of Java programs.

  • In this paper, a new digital audio watermarking algorithm is presented. The proposed algorithm embeds watermark into audio signal based on human auditory system (HAS). This algorithm is a blind audio watermarking method, which does not require any prior information during watermark extraction process. This algorithm finds watermarking position using time-domain masking effect. First we insert the watermark into wavelet domain, and then we use a back-propagation neural network (BPN) to learn the characteristics of relationship between the watermark and the watermarked audio. Due to the teaming and adaptive capabilities of the BPN, the false recovery of the watermark can be greatly reduced by the trained BPN. Experimental results show that the proposed method has good inaudibility and high robustness to common audio processing attacks.
