광양항 동측배후단지 2단계 사업지구 상징공원 및 수변공원 설계 (A Design for the Symbol Park and the Waterfront Park for the Second Stage Development in the Eastern Rear Complex of Gwangyang Harbor)

  • The eastern rear business complex of the Gwangyang Harbor (second stage) has undergone the 'alternative bid' process by which a construction company is selected based on their suggestions for an alternative plan and the bid for the construction expenses is based on the previously completed original plan, thereby implicitly accepting the arrangement and scale of the park which was presented in the original plan. It is possible, however, that the concept and plan of each park needs to be approached in a new way within the extent of given design guidelines. This study focuses on the alternative plan process and the Symbol Park (the second neighborhood park) and Waterfront Park (the third neighborhood park) among the five neighborhood parks in the eastern rear business complex (second stage). These two parks provide scale and function for the structure of the park and greenways system at the eastern rear complex. The neighboring waterway is a significant resource for emphasizing the pre-development features of the site. The alternative plan process focuses on determining the resources for the park's plan based on the environmental analyses of the site and utilizing the results. That is, through an analysis of the current state, all available resources are determined and the facilities and activities are derived based on these results. By this, Symbol Park and Waterfront Park reflect the regional features of the eastern rear complex, and these parks will feasibly perform the role of the region's key parte. The limit of this study is the fact that there is no chance for landscape architecture to actively play a role in the creation of the master plan, land utilization plan, and plan for the complex. Therefore there is a problem that the function scale and location of the park are not distributed appropriately in the rear complex. Also the plan for protecting the waterway's shore, a significant resource, only considers the structural stability of the engineering works, degrading the visual and ecological quality. These experiences will be used as a case for further designing the industrial complex and for the resulting park plan.

도시 그린인프라 핵심지역의 경제적 가치와 계획 요소 분석 - 세종호수공원 사례를 중심으로 - (Analyzing the Economic Value and Planning Factors of Hubs within Urban Green Infrastructure - Focusing on the Case of Sejong Lake Park -)

  • 본 연구는 그린인프라의 핵심지역(Hubs)에 해당되는 도시공원을 대상으로 조건부가치측정법(CVM)을 활용한 가치추정 및 이에 영향을 미치는 계획 요소 도출을 통하여 도시공원에 대한 가치 향상 및 계획 단계에서 활용될 수 있는 기초자료를 제공하기 위하여 연구를 진행하였다. 주요 목적은 첫째, 경제적 가치에 영향을 미치는 변수를 도출하고, 둘째, 그린인프라의 핵심지역인 도시공원의 이용에 대한 경제적 가치를 추정하며, 셋째, 이러한 가치의 향상을 위한 계획요소를 도출하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 그린인프라의 핵심지역 중 세종시의 도시공원을 대표할 수 있는 세종호수공원을 대상지로 선정하여 방문객들을 대상으로 세종호수공원의 이용적 가치에 대한 지불의사금액과 이에 영향을 미치는 계획요소에 관한 설문조사를 통해 수집된 105개의 응답결과를 바탕으로 조건부가치측정법(CVM)을 이용해 연구를 진행하였으며 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 세종호수공원의 이용적 가치에 대한 지불의사에 영향을 주는 변수를 분석한 결과, 세종호수공원 방문객의 사회경제적 특성에서는 거주지, 연령이 이용적 가치에 대한 지불의사에 유의한 영향을 나타냈다. 둘째, 이중양분선택형 질문의 응답 결과를 통계적 기법으로 변수화하여 로짓모형으로부터 도출된 계수를 활용한 세종호수공원의 이용적 가치에 대한 1인당 평균 지불의사금액을 추정한 결과 8,597원으로 나타났다. 2019년 기준 세종호수공원의 총 방문객 약 43만명 고려시 세종호수공원에서 연간 발생하는 이용적 가치는 약 37억 원으로 추정된다. 셋째, 세종호수공원의 이용적 가치에 대한 지불의사 결정에 미치는 계획 요소의 리커트 척도 평균값은 수변공간이 가장 높게 나타났으며, 지불의사금액 10,000원에서는 편의시설이 가장 높게 나타났고, 지불의사액 5,000원 및 2,500원에서는 수변공간이 가장 높게 나타나, 방문객들이 수변공간을 이용하는 것에 대한 경제적 가치를 가장 크게 고려하는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 본 연구는 그린인프라 중 도시지역에 위치한 핵심지역에 해당되는 공원에 대하여 이용적 가치와 도시공원의 가치평가 결과에 영향을 준 계획요소, 그리고 계획요소간의 상관성 분석에 대한 논문으로서 의의를 가진다.

도시 수변 완충지역의 경관 계획에 관한 연구 - 탄성 (resilient) 관점의 계획 사례분석을 중심으로 - (Research on Landscape Plan Strategy of Urban Waterside Space Buffer Zone - Focused on the Case of the Resilient Perspective of Plan -)

  • 홍수는 도시가 피할 수 없는 자연재해이다. 홍수 재해는 도시의 경제와 안전, 그리고 지속발전을 심각하게 저해한다. 수변 공간에 대한 개발과 건설 과정에서 기본적인 방재시설의 건축을 통해 홍수의 경제적 피해를 줄이고자 막대한 자본을 투입하더라도 이를 완전히 피할 수는 없으며. 재해 발생 후 도시의 재건 비용은 방재(防災)시설의 건설비용보다 훨씬 많은 비용을 필요로 한다. 최근 몇 년간 도시재건 등에 있어 탄성(resilient)이론은 학계의 광범위한 토론과 주목을 불러일으키며 도시의 문제해결에 관한 주제가 되어왔다. 즉, 탄성의 방재개념을 이론과 경험적 요소를 토대로 어떻게 실천으로 전환시켜야 하는지가 도시방재가 마주하고 있는 현실적 문제이다. 본 논문은 도시의 수변(공간) 완충지역(홍수 취약지역)여 관한 이론 문헌과 도시의 실천 사례연구를 통해 탄성 방재이론인 5R 요소를 명확화하고, 이에 따른 상세 대책을 제시하고자 한다. 또한, 도시의 수변완충지역을 중심으로 탄성 방재이론 요소의 도시수변(공간)계획에서의 실행 가능성을 강조하는 동시에 다음과 같은 두 가지 문제를 해결하고자 한다. 첫째, 방재계획수단을 이용해 도시수변토지의 개별 효용과 수변완충지역의 방재기능 간의 갈등을 완화하는 것과 둘째, 수변완충지역이 탄성 방재계획을 통해 방재 측면에서 홍수가 수반하는 문제에 최대한 대응할 수 있게 하는 것이다.

초분광 영상정보를 이용한 태화강 수계지역의 토지피복 변화분석 (Analysis of Land Cover Change in the Waterfront Area of Taehwa River using Hyperspectral Image Information)

  • 토지피복도는 도시의 확장과 개발에 있어 다양한 분야에서 활용되고 있다. 본 연구는 태화강 수계지역을 중심으로 멀티센서 정보를 이용하여 시계열적 토지피복 변화량을 분석하였다. 정확도가 높은 항공 초분광 영상을 적용하기 위하여 지상분광 스펙트럼과의 패턴을 검토하고, 시계열 수치지형도와 비교하였다. 초분광 영상은 13개의 토지피복 등급을 설정하였고, 시계열 수치지형도는 7개, 그리고 수계지역을 중심으로는 각각 5~6개 등급으로 분류하여 분석하였다. 1990년대에서 2010년까지 수치지형도의 토지피복 변화량 분석결과 산림지역이 빠르게 감소하고 농경 및 초지가 도시화되고 있는 것을 알 수 있었다. 초분광 영상을 통한 수계지역(500m 설정)의 토지피복변화(2010~2019)는 농업, 산림, 초지가 각각 1.4㎢, 1.0㎢, 0.8㎢가 시가지화 건조지역으로 변화되었으며 태화강 수계를 중심으로 도시화가 가속화되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 최근 고정밀 위성영상과 항공 초분광 영상을 이용하여 토지피복도 제작에 대한 연구가 많이 이루어지고 있기 때문에 더욱 세분화되고 정밀한 토지피복도를 제작하여 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

왕동.황룡강권 개발 기본계획 - 남도만향기행 (Development Plan of Wangdong and Hwangryong-River District)

  • There are plenty of ecological and traditional resources around Wandong and the Hwangryong-River district, and so the purpose of this development plan is to preserve ecological resources and traditional culture, and to utilize potential value of recreation in this site. Two major concepts are established in this plan one is “Green-Tourism”, the other is “Blue-Recreation”. In this development plan “Green-Tourism” means the effective tourism using ecological and traditional resources, while “Blue-Recreation” means the active tourism using waterfront and cultural facilities. The concept of “Green-Tourism” is applied to the Wangdong area, which is comprised of 6 theme zones. The concept of “Blue-Recreation” is applied to the Hwangryong-River area, which is composed of 4 theme zones. In total, 10 theme zones are planned according to characteristics found in the regional surroundings and cultural facilities of each zone.

영산강 하구둑 환경설계 (Environment Design of an Estuary Dike on the Youngsan-River)

  • The objective of this project is to improve the environment of the estuary dike on the Youngsan-River through Re-landscaping. An estuary dike of the Youngsan-River, the largest in the Orient, was constructed in 1981 and connects Mokpo City and Youngam-Gun province. Twenty years ago, when this dike was completed, this place was one of the famous tourist attractions of Korea. It symbolized the development and growth of Korea. But this dike at present is only a dreary sight as a huge concrete construction element. Therefore, a wall painting on the estuary dike was planned to improve this image. The site, an estuary dike of the Youngsan-River, is located in Mokpo City and its length is about 1,360m. The planning focus of this re-landscaping, which is a proposed improvement design through the analysis of characteristics and problems in conventional facilities, is as follows: (1) Introduction of a wall painting that is a symbol of the sea and river (by the creation of an illusion), (2) Production of the wall painting which is under consideration to create a friendly atmosphere of the circumference view and (3) Preparation of a design to establish an approach to the waterfront. By following these steps, an estuary dike can function as a tourist attractions and can be transformed in to cultural space for civilian. This project is good example of environment design that is completed with the regional residents participation through community input in the planning and initiation of a wall painting. The concept of environment design which involves the residents participation and re-landscaping in Korea has not been established up to now on. However, as this projects has proven, consideration for regional residents is a very important factor for the administrative office and planing specialist to address. In the future, it will have a direct influence on the development of design planning. If the establishment of space that can be accepted by residents with love, affection and self-confidence is possible, environment design in which residents participate actively, can be realized.

도시에 서식하는 원앙과 오색딱다구리의 서식 적합성 지수(HSI) 모델 개발 (Development of Habitat Suitability Index (HSI) Model for Mandarin duck (Aix galericulata) and Great spotted woodpeckers (Dendrocopos major))

  • The purpose of this research is to develop the Habitat Suitability Index (HSI) for habitat environments of Aix galericulata (A. galericulata) and Dendrocopos major (D. major), which tend to inhabit urban environments. A. galericulata and D. major are the keystone species representing the ecosystem of wetlands and forests. Based on the analysis of their urban habitat environments, this study selects artificially adjustable levels of the environmental index in order to produce the HSI model, which can be used when either restoring or creating the urban habitats for these species. To develop the HSI, we conducted field surveys at Jungnangcheon Stream, Changgyeonggung, Jangneung, Bangbae Neighborhood Park, Gildong Ecological Park, and Seodalsan Mountain. These surveys were conducted between April and August 2020, and this period includes the breeding season of both A. galericulata and D. major. Based on our findings from the surveys, we conclude that there are six SI factors for A. galericulata. These include (1) the presence of alluvial islands, (2) waterfront vegetation cover rate, (3) type of aquatic plants for food, (4) size of forest patch, (5) type of trees in nearby forests, and (6) connectivity of waterfront and forest. We also conclude that there are five SI factors for D. major, which include (1) size of forest patch, (2) rate of broadleaf trees in forest patches, (3) type of nesting trees, (4) diameter at breast height (DBH) of nesting trees, and (5) density of dead trees. The result of this research can provide future studies with useful guidance when both (1) comparing the habitat suitability of the target species in different environments and (2) restoring or creating habitats for these species.

해양경관의 시각적 평가에 관한 연구 (On the Visual Assessment of Seascape)

  • Seascape means the scenery which is composed around the sea., Seascape has it's own characteristics compared with landscape and has many important roles in our urban life. Nowadays seascape is being destructed by the development in waterfront area and ocean space. Especially the various kind of buildings which are built in coastal area give great visual impact on seascape. But we have rare research on seascape and no guideline for seascape planning. Before any action against destroying seascape the assessment of seascape has to be preceded. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the representative seascapes which are selected from over 300 slides of various seascapes according to the types of seascapes. We used S.D (Semantic Differential) method with 35 adjective pairs in seven scale to evaluate each seascape. The results can be summarized as follows. 1) Seascapes can be classified as natural type and urban type. The natural type can be divided into beach type and rock-island type. 2) Natural type of seascape is more prefered than urban type. 3)Beach type is the most prefered among seascape types. 4) Natural elements of seascape such as sky, water, sand, trees, forest, mountain, open space, waterfront line, are evaluated as 'good' to see but artificial elements, such as buildings, persons, roads, structures, are evaluated 'bad' to see. 5)As a result of factor analysis five factors(axes) are found out. They are 'wildness', 'vividness', 'preference', 'interest', and 'openness'. These factors can be used for evaluting any seascape.

아산배방 복합단지개발 PF사업 조경설계 (A Landscape Design of Mixed Use Development Project by Project Financing in Baebang, Asan)

  • This landscape design proposal was presented for a competition for mixed-use development project by project financing in Asan Baebang which was held by the Korea National Housing Corporation in July of 2005. The site is a center of Asan Baebang New Town Development District and has a commercial area of $57,929m^{2}$. Design guidelines and judging criteria of this competition were to build a symbolic center and cultural core for district, to elevate positive image and identity of Asan New Town by attractive place making, to link with separated block in the site and regional context, and to make environmentally sustainable design by creating an attractive waterfront of Jang Jae stream passing through the site. This is the most important condition for the design. Therefore, the authors developed design concept and strategy within the guidelines and this conditions. The schema of the design was introduced by the water in the site. To evolve design concept, we reinterpreted water and context in the site combining with landscape design strategy. So the proposal set the main design concept as 'all that is solid melt into water' as if Marshall Berman said. By doing that, design concept of the proposal evolved as follows: 'extension' of water and greer, 'a joint' of space,'newness' of experience, 'breath' of consensus with each other. The spatial concept of this project was developed by expressing five theme spaces; eco zone, entertainment zone, art zone, culture zone, leisure zone. These theme spaces were consecutively placed along the pedestrian path and to consists of vertical layer in each level and diverse design technique and spatial effects are used.

한강 연안 경관 녹화 계획

  • Green landscape plan to the riverfront area of the Han River The Han River, one of the symbolic elements in metropolitan Seoul, structures an axis of waterscape as the openspace crossing east to west of the city of Seoul. As riverside urban motorway(88 Olympic motorway) and riverside public park were constructed by the Han River Comprehensive Development Project in 1986, the necessity of general plan for the in-stallation of envirommental facility belt to conserve living enviroument is being required with relation to, dense residential areas closed to the river Therefore, the goal of the study is to provide better riverview and to increase environmental purifi-cation ability as a large scale waterscape axis by the preparation of landscape plan to the riverfront area of Han River, In order to achieve the goal, the study deals with sectional speciality, the introduction of landscape assessment techniques and ecological approach to given environment. As unity is kept through whole waterfront area, the area is divided into 9 zoning sections to study development methods for each section, and themes for speciality are given to each section, and the. sort of plants which can be symboliged to the area is selected. Also, the planting methods for harmony with the type of road structure and riverscape is offered. Though the study may give significane to the image and the function of riverside road, in con-clusion, the characteristic ecological approach to the river is so limited that has not been reflected enough on the plan. It is expected that the study should be continued, and long-term riverfront openspace plan, environmentally sustainable, should be arepared.
