쉴드터널 라이닝 사다리꼴 세그먼트의 연결방법 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of Connection for Shield Tunnel Lining Using Trapezoidal Segments)

  • 쉴드터널에서 사용이 증가되고 있는 사다리꼴 세그먼트는 연결봉과 연결쐐기를 사용하여 세그먼트를 조립함으로서 터널라이닝을 형성하게 된다. 이 경우 사다리꼴 세그먼트의 테이퍼 각도를 크게 할수록 조립시공이 용이하고, 또한 지수재의 밀림현상을 줄일 수 있지만 반면 연결부의 구조적 안정성은 감소하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 단면형상이 불규칙한 세그먼트와 여러가지 부속재가 3차원적으로 연결되는 쉴드터널에 대해 현장의 시공과정을 모사하여 3차원 해석을 수행하였으며, 사다리꼴 세그먼트의 테이퍼 각도변화$(0^{\citc$\mid$,\; 10${\circ},\; 20^{\circ})$에 따른 연결부의 작용력을 구하여 연결부에 대한 마찰저항력 시험결과와 비교, 분석함으로서 연결부에 대한 개선방안을 모색하였다.

  • In contemporary architectural practice, flat sections and plan drawings are no longer a primary means of representation and communication with participants. A typical building design has an ornamental exterior wall system and a roof system that should have water-proof quality and drainage function. By comparison, distinction between exterior wall and roof are unclear in freeform buildings, and they are integrated into a concept of a building envelope. This study is to propose 3D coordinate control technology for freeform structure by CNC curved tube method in order to develop a BIM-based envelope design and construction method for freeform building. Because a much wider freeform building construction can be achieved with correct 3D data and easy-to-implement in construction field, the proposed 3D coordinate control technology is highly recommended for practical use instead of the conventional CAD system.

  • 천연염색은 인공염료로 인한 환경오염으로부터 자연을 보호하고, 천연 염색된 섬유는 해충으로 인한 인체의 피해를 막아주어 의복, 침구 류로 개발 가능하며, 또한 색상도 중간계열이 많아 자연스런 이미지를 연출 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 값싸고, 쉽게 구할 수 있는 천연염색 재료를 다양한 색상으로 개발 할 수 있어 고부가가치를 지닌 제품 생산으로 유휴농지의 활용과 함께 농가의 수익을 올릴 수 있다. 전라남도 무안 지방에서 대량으로 생산되는 양파껍질을 다양한 섬유에 염색하여 노랑 색에서 연갈색, 회색계열까지 여러 가지의 색상이 추출된다. 이렇게 염색된 섬유의 세탁, 마찰, 물, 땀, 일광 견뢰 도 측정을 통해 실험하였더니 그 결과 견뢰 도가 전체적으로 우수하여 천연 산업 염색재료로서의 가능성을 발견하였다.

공동주택 구성재의 경제적 수선형태 설정 연구 (A Study on the Economic Repair Pattern of the Building Components in the Apartment Housing)

  • Building components have been deteriorated by various factors such as location, a building type, a surrounding environment and so on. In addition, each component has a peculiar characteristics, compared with other components in properties of matter an used part. Building components would be required to maintain its function and performance to provide the resident with a decent living condition. It is important to decide the repair time, scope and a required cost in repair plan, considering the each component's characteristics. In this parer, it aimed at providing the economic repair pattern to analyze the relation of the time-elapse and the cumulative repair cost in the apartment housing using 3rd quadratic function. Results of the study are as follows: First, the shape of the function for the economic repair is classified into two type. One is the continuous increase type of the cumulative cost which properly means the iterative repair type after built. The other is that the function has the maximum state at a point which means one-repair after its repair would be delayed to a scheduled time. Second, the iterative repair pattern would include window, roof proof, lighting and water supply pipe. The other repair pattern would include the paintings, heating pipe and sign board.

  • For nuclear concrete structures on the coast, the prevention and management against salt damage is needed because they are being under the influence of the sea water at all times. In general, the deterioration of the concrete is generated in concrete surface firstly and then extended into concrete gradually as its service life increases. Therefore, the protective layer on the concrete surface is needed to establish and manage the durability of concrete. To enhance the durability performance of the existing and new concrete, the development and application of a high-performance penetration sealer is needed. The sealer has to have the functions that are able to prevent the attack of the moisture, carbon dioxide, and harmful substance from the outside. Therefore, the aim of this project is to guarantee the long service-life and waterproof performance of a nuclear concrete structures by increasing the density of the existing and new concrete surface layer, and to enhance the dust-proof performance of the uncoating part of the nuclear safety-relative structures.

  • 최근 건축환경의 소화설비에는 배관의 경량화, 내진화, 무용접화를 요구한다. 이러한 요구사항을 만족할 수 있는 경량 스테인리스 강관 및 그 이음쇠는 이미 독일, 네덜란드, 대만, 호주, 미국, 일본 등에서 소화설비용으로 사용하고 있다. 이에 따라 그 이음쇠가 소화설비의 배관으로 사용될 수 있는지를 판단하고자 성능평가를 수행하였다. 성능평가로서 진동시험, 수격시험, 굽힘시험, 화재시험 등을 수행하였다. 시험결과 소화설비에 사용할 수 있다고 판단되었고 그 수명은 건축물의 수명 이상 사용할 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

침투력이 터널 막장의 안정성에 미치는 영향 연구 - 모형실험을 중심으로 - (Effect of Seepage Forces on the Tunnel Face Stability - Assessing through Model Tests -)

  • In this study, two factors are simultaneously considered for assessing tunnel face stability: one is the effective stress acting on the tunnel face calculated by upper bound solution; and the other is the seepage force calculated by numerical analysis under the condition of steady-state groundwater flow. The seepage forces calculated by numerical analysis are compared with the results of a model test. From the results of derivations of the upper bound solution with the consideration of seepage forces acting on the tunnel face, it could be found that the minimum support pressure for the face stability is equal to the sum of effective support pressure and seepage pressure acting on the tunnel face. Also it could be found that the average seepage pressure acting on the tunnel face is proportional to the hydrostatic pressure at the same elevation and the magnitude is about 22% of the hydrostatic pressure for the drainage type tunnel and about 28% for the water-proof type tunnel. The model tests performed with a tunnel model had a similar trend with the seepage pressure calculated by numerical analysis. From the model tests it could be also found that the collapse at the tunnel face occurs suddenly and leads to unlimited displacement.

공동주택 대안적 화재 피난방식에 대한 건설전문가 평가조사 (Analysis on Field Professionals' Assessment of Alternative Fire Escape Methods in Apartment Building)

  • In apartment buildings, casualties, especially fatalities have occurred in balcony areas in fires if residents fail to escape to the main entrance. Potential consequences of a particular infrequent event should be considered. In attempting to design apartment buildings for fire safety, alternative escape methods such as vertical penetration could be considered. The purpose of this study is to investigate present building regulations regarding apartment buildings and examine pros and cons of the current escape method and alternative escape methods. Focus group interview was conducted to discuss problems of fire escape methods. In addition, questionnaires were distributed to field professionals working in architecture, construction and related industries. Among 500 questionnaires distributed, 192 questionnaires were collected. Usable 162 questionnaires were analyzed using SPSS 15. Regarding alternative fire escape methods, several concerns were mentioned. Safety, privacy, security, effectiveness of escape, water proof problems were raised. Based on the opinions, vertical penetration between apartment unit appeared more safe, secure, effective than horizontal penetration. However, both methods have its own pros and cons under specific contexts. Alternative escape methods need be considered for a selective options for residents in case of fire.

방화용 실런트 성능 평가 방법 연구 (A study for the test method of fire resistance construction sealant)

  • Many kinds of fire-stop sealants have been used for joint sealing, cable penetration part sealing and fireproof structure finishing etc in building sectors which need water-proofing and fire-stop properties. But, fire-stop sealant itself has no specific industry standards in Korea even though there are so many required properties for the application. So, in this study, for the evaluation, we adopted and applied UL standard 94(UL 94) which is commonly used for the fire retardant testing in inflammable materials like plastics and rubbers in electronics industry. In this study, we demonstrated fire resistance properties of each fire-stop sealants which varied with different formulation, thickness and origins available in Korea. Overall, fire stop sealant had better fire resistance performance than normal construction sealant. And the thicker the material, the better the fire resistance performance was. Because there is no national or industry guideline for fire stop sealant itself, each sealant products showed different level of performances under UL94 desigation. Even certain product had very poor fire proof propeties although it claims it can be used for the application.

The First Case of Successful Bark Implantation of a 250-year-old Zelkova Tree Heavily Damaged by Artificial Girdling

  • A circular bark with a 30 cm width was artificially removed from the trunk of a 250-year-old zelkova tree (Zelkova serrata) heavily damaged by artificial girdling in Sunchang, Jeonbuk Province in March of 2005. The debarked area was cleaned approximately 10 days after artificial girdling and bark margins with 2 cm width above and below the girdled portion were cut off to promote wound callus formation. Nine pieces of fresh bark (width 8 cm, length 35 cm, thickness 0.5 cm) were then prepared from branches of neighbor zelkova trees broken by heavy snowfalls and pasted onto the girdled portion of the tree, after which a Vaseline dressing was applied to water-proof the area and rubber bars were used to hold the implants to the trunk. Two pieces of the implanted fresh barks were successfully grafted onto the girdled area and the damaged tree has been vigorously growing over 13 years. To our knowledge, this is the first case of successful bark implantation to cure a 250-year-old zelkova tree heavily damaged by artificial girdling. This bark implantation technique will be utilized for the conversation and management of heavily damaged big and old trees in the future.
