  • In this paper, we propose a water temperature prediction method using feature extraction and reconstructed data based on LSTM-Autoencoder. We used multivariate time series data such as sea surface water temperature in the Naksan area of the East Sea where the cold water zone phenomenon occurred, and wind direction and wind speed that affect water temperature. Using the LSTM-Autoencoder model, we used three types of data: feature data extracted through dimensionality reduction of the original data combined with multivariate data of the original data, reconstructed data, and original data. The three types of data were trained by the LSTM model to predict sea surface water temperature and evaluated the accuracy. As a result, the sea surface water temperature prediction accuracy using feature extraction of LSTM-Autoencoder confirmed the best performance with MAE 0.3652, RMSE 0.5604, MAPE 3.309%. The result of this study are expected to be able to prevent damage from natural disasters by improving the prediction accuracy of sea surface temperature changes rapidly such as the cold water zone.

  • The evaluation of functional active ingredients and dyeing effect on cotton fabric using 16 types of natural products water extracts and 50% ethanol extracts, there were differences in color intensity, but 6 types of red, 5 types of yellow, 2 types of orange, and 3 types of green were observed. In general, the color of the 50% ethanol extract was high and clear. As a result of dyeing by immersing cotton gauze in water extracts and 50% ethanol extracts of these natural products for 2 days, the dyeing effect was generally good, and it was observed that there was little fading decrease in color even after drying at room temperature and opening and storing. The pH of the water extracts of 16 natural products ranged from neutral to slightly acidic, with no side effects on the skin. For DPPH free radical inhibition antioxidant effect, the effect of 50% ethanol extract for each sample was better than that of water extract. As for the polyphenol content, the content of the 50% ethanol extract tended to be higher than that of the water extract. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation between the antioxidant activity of 16 natural extracts and the prevention of female vaginitis.

  • The shape and characteristics of polymers in hydrolzed and polymerized sol were affected by the types of catalysts. In our research, the contents of water and catalysts were constant and the types of catalyst were varied. In the case of acid catalysts, polymers in sol were linear and spinnable. The shapes of polymer were affected by the types of anions in acid catalysts. In the case of catalyst having anions, F, Cl, in the same period, the effects were similar. But in the case of base catalysts polymers were rigid rod like and not spinnable.

  • Concrete structure placed in marine environment is subject to many different types of potential attack. Therefore the sea water resistance of cement and concrete must be considered when it is used for structure in the ocean. For this purpose, this study was peformed to investigate the properties of several types of cements for a massive concrete placed in marine environment.

  • This study was conducted to determine the effects of dietary glycine betaine on pork quality in different muscle types. A total of 80 female pigs ($Landrace{\times}Yorkshire{\times}Duroc$) were randomly allotted into one of four experimental diet groups. Each group of pigs were fed a commercial diet (Control) with 0.2 g glycine betaine (T1), 0.4 g glycine betaine (T2) and 0.6 g% glycine betaine (T3)/kg for 40 days. pH of belly was significantly higher in the control than dietary glycine betaine groups at 13 days of storage, whereas pH of picnic shoulder and ham were significantly lower in control than glycine betaine groups. At 13 days of storage, redness (a*) of belly was significantly higher in control than dietary glycine betaine groups, whereas picnic shoulder and ham were significantly higher in glycine betaine groups than in the control. Water-holding capacities (WHC) of all muscle samples were significantly higher in the control than glycine betaine groups until 5 days of storage. Sarcomere length was significantly longer in the control than glycine betaine groups. The thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) value of belly was much higher than other muscle types at 13 days of storage. In fatty acid composition, dietary glycine betaine increased the ratio of saturated fatty acids (SFA) and decreased unsaturated fatty acids (USFA) in loins.

  • Recently, as people have more interest in health, and some change takes place in their lifestyles, a demand for environment-friendly residential space is also increasing. Research on the introduction of natural elements is mostly conducted for humans to pursue a more pleasant and comfortable life in residential space since it has one of the closest relation with humans. Therefore, it is such an important assignment at present when environmental problems are considered significant. Based on such a necessity, this study analyzed the introduction types and characteristics of natural elements in residential space by considering essential and psychological aspects more than previous researches on residential space with practical and functional aspects. As natural elements, this study put limits on plants and water that are used a lot in the interior space, and by dividing introduction types into recomposition of courtyard space, spatial partition and decorative elements, this study carried out a case analysis of residential space structures recently completed in Japan. As a basic research on space planning that is desperately required by change in the residential life paradigm and on the basis of understanding about nature, it is expected that the results of this study will be used as design basic data useful when establishing plans of introducing natural elements for residential space in the future.

  • This experiment was carried out to investigate the effect of pasture types(mixture and mono tall fescue pasture) and endophyte infection on the animal behavior of Korean native cattle at the Experimental Field of Grassland and Forage Crops Division, National Livestock Research Institute, Suweon, in 1994. The results obtained are sumunarized as follows: DM intake of Korean native cattle was increased with mixture and endophyte-free tall fescue for both pasture types. Mixture and endophyte-free tall fescue showed good animal preference. Daily grazing time was increased with mixture and endophyte-free tall fescue in monoculture, while annual grazing period was increased with monoculture and endophyte-infect tall fescue. Amount of drinking water of Korean native cattle was increased with tall fescue monoculture rather than mixture, however the amount of drinking water was higher with endophyte-infect tall fescue in monoculture. Salt intake of Korean native cattle was increased with mixture and endophyte-6ee tall fescue in monoculture. Rectal temperature of Korean native cattle was not influenced by pasture types and endophyte infection. Based on the results of this experiment, DM intake of Korean native cattle and daily grazing time were increased by mixture and endophyte-free tall fescue with good quality.

  • In thermal energy storage system, energy collected from many types of heat source is stored in a storage tank and then supply to load for demand. Lately, practical use of thermal energy storage system and attention to essential use of energy have been increased. From this point of view, especially, a study about the energy extraction process from a storage tank is necessary. So in this study, useful rate of hot water and hot water extraction efficiency was analysed respect to dynamic and geometric parameters dominating the hot water extraction process.

  • Under the attack of storm waves, there are many destructions of coastal structures in the forms of sinking and sliding. There types of destructions will be in close relation to the dynamic behavior of sand bed around the structures. Form this point of view, in this pear, we investigate the characteristics of the pore water pressure and effective stresses in the highly saturated sand bed under oscillating water pressure theoretically. The results indicate that the oscillating water pressure induce the notable drop of strength of and bed around the structure under certain condition.

  • The movement of water across cell plasma membranes occurs in all cell types but is particularly rapid in erythrocytes, renal tubular cells. In principle, osmotic/oncotic gradients and hydrostatic pressure difference can drive water across a cell layer by transcellular or paracellular pathways. The aquaporin family of molecular water channels, which now number 10 in mammals and many more in plants and lower organism, are likely to provide a molecular pathway for water transport in some cell membranes.(omitted)
