용출규격 설정을 위한 생물약제학적분류체계 개념 활용 (Implementation of Biopharmaceutics Classification System Concepts in Developing Dissolution Tests)

  • The objective of this study was to investigate the dissolution patterns of variety of orally administered drug products available on the market. It aimed to understand their dissolution behaviors on the basis of the biopharmaceutics classification system (BCS) concept. On the tenets of BCS, several active pharmaceutical ingredients were selected: fluoxetine hydrochloride (class I), naproxen sodium (class ll), pyridostigmine bromide (class III), furosemide (class IV) and simvastatin (class IV). Typical dissolution media used in this study were pH 1.2, pH 4 & 6.8 phosphate buffers, and water. In cases, particular dissolution media specified in the KP and/or USP were used. Dissolution patterns of fluoxetine hydrochloride and pyridostigmine bromide products were characterized by their rapid release In addition, their dissolution characteristics were relatively unaffected by the type of a dissolution medium. Similar dissolution patterns were observed with pH 1.2, pH 4 & 6.8 phosphate buffers and water. By sharp contrast, poor dissolution patterns were noticed with naproxen sodium products, when pH 1.2 and pH 4 phosphate buffer were used. Improvements in its dissolution were achieved by switching the dissolution media to pH 6.8 phosphate buffer or water. Unsatisfactory dissolution data also were observed with a simvastatin product, when it was subject to dissolution tests by use of a surfactant-free pH 1.2, pH 4 & 6.8 phosphate buffers and water. All the release patterns reported in this study were best understood when BCS concepts were implemented. Our results demonstrated that a BCS-based drug classification should be considered first to choose a dissolution test/method and set up dissolution specification.

  • The development of solar thermal energy used adsorption desalination technology have been examined as a viable option for supplying clean energy. In this study, the modelling of the main devices for solar thermal energy used and adsorption desalination system was introduced. Silica gel type adsorption desalination system is considered to be a promising low-temperature heat utilization system. The design is divided into three parts. First, the evaporator for the vaporization of the tap water is designed, and then the reactor for the adsorption and release of the steam is designed, followed by the condenser for the condensation of the fresh water is designed. In addition, new features based on the energy balance are also included to design absorption desalination system. In this basic research, One-bed(reactor) adsorption desalination plant that employ a low-temperature solar thermal energy was proposed and experimentally studied. The specific water yield is measured experimentally with respect to the time controlling parameters such as heat source temperatures, coolant temperatures, system switching and half-cycle operational times. Desalination is processes that permeate our daily lives, but It requires substantial energy input, powered either from electricity or from thermal input. From the environmental and sustainability perspecives, innovative thermodynamic cycles are needed to produce the above-mentioned useful effects at a lower specific energy input. This article describes the development of adsorption cycles for the production of desalting effects. We want that this adsorption system can be driven by low temperature heat sources at 60 to $80^{\circ}C$, such as renewable, solar thermal energy.

새로운 액티브 전압 클램프 ZVS-PWM 공진 고주파 인버터 (The New Active Voltage Clamp ZVS-PWM Resonant High-frequency Inverter)

  • In this paper, a ZVS-PWM high-frequency inverter with a PWM control function is applied to commercial system 220[Vrms], and a resonator type ZVS-PWM high-frequency inverter circuit with a fixed-two methods were proposed. The parameters of the transformer model equivalent circuit of a copier fixing device, which is an essential element in the parameter optimization of the proposed circuit, are obtained by using a high-frequency amplifier and its frequency characteristics are described. The proposed method compared to the existing single-ended ZVS-PFM high frequency inverter can suppress the voltage and current peak value of the power semiconductor switching device and reduce the switching loss. The efficiency of the proposed method itself is 98[%] at rated power output. Also, the efficiency of 96[%] can be obtained even at low output, so that the proposed high frequency inverter is very efficient inverter. The total efficiency from the commercial AC input to the inverter output is 93[%] at rated, which is considered efficient for use in copying machines. In addition, the diode bridge loss accounts for the largest portion of the overall system efficiency distribution. On the other hand, the nonparallel filter has a very low loss.

  • The absorption spectra of synthesis of azobenzene containing long chain fatty acids were investigated by UV spectrophotometer in chloroform solution. Also, the pressure-area isotherms of the molecules on the water-air interface were obtained and the LB films were fabricated onto a quartz slides and quartz crystals by the conventional Langmuir-Blodggett(LB) method. The UV absorption spectra of Langmuir-Blodggett(LB) films on quartz slides have been measured. From these measurements, following conclusions were obtained. Azobenzene containing long chain fatty acids show a photoisomerization by irradiation of UV light and visible light alternatively. At the pressure-area isotherms, the value of surface pressure increment were decreased when the number of $C_n$ increased. Also the LB films show a photoisomerization characteristics. So the LB film of azobenzene containing long chain fatty acid has possibility to being applied to functional molecular device such as photomemory and light switching.

  • We have prepared an amphiphilic wedge-coil molecule consisting of a hydrophobic wedge-like segment and a hydrophilic poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) segment. The wedge-coil block molecule self-assembles into cylindrical nanofibers in both polar as well as nonpolar solvents. Remarkably, the resulting nanofibers, as solvent polarity change from water to n-hexane, change from highly flexible coil-like to stiff rod-like characteristics. This dynamic switching in the stiffness of the nanofibers in response to solvent polarity is attributed to the structural inversion of cylindrical core from bulky dendritic segments with amorphous nature to crystallizable linear PEO segments.

  • Magnetic switch is a kind of saturable inductor, which utilizes nonlinearity of the magnetization curve of ferromagnetic materials. The right understanding of the saturation phenomena, magnetic properties, voltage-time product, and switching characteristics of the magnetic switch is essential in designing the magnetic pulse compressor (MPC). In this paper, the historical background of research on the MPC, fundamental physical properties of the magnetic switches, and application fields of the MPC are presented. Further, an in-depth analysis of pulse compression in series and parallel MPCs is incorporated. As practical application examples, a series MPC used for water treatments and a parallel MPC used for pulsed electric field (PEF) inactivation of bacteria are cited.

  • The pressure-area isotherm of monolayer at the air-water interface were obtained and the LB films were fabricated onto a quartz slides and quartz crystal by conventional Langmuir-Blodggett(LB) method. The UV absorption spectra of Langmuir-Blodggett(LB) film on quartz slides and spectrum of monolayer formed on quartz crystal have been measured. The photoisomerization of the long-chain fatty avid containing azobenzene were obtained by the application of UV and visible light. The reversibility of photoisomerization were more clear difference when the number of C$\_$n/ increased. At the pressure-area isotherms, the value of surface pressure increment were decreased when the number of C$\_$n/ increased, A surface pressure of 20mN/m was obtained as a proper one for a film deposition. The photoisomerization at LB films were also obtained by application of UV and visible light. So the LB film of long-chain fatty acid containing azobenzene has possibility to being applies to functional molecular devices such as photomemory and light switching.

인휠 모터 구동용 인버터의 냉각구조에 대한 해석적 평가 (Analytical Assessment on the Cooling Structure of In-wheel Driving Inverter)

  • In-wheel driving inverter inside engine room sometimes operates in the harsh environment like high temperature of about $105^{\circ}C$. Especially, the size and power density of the inverter has become smaller and more increased. Thus, it is essential to manage the temperature of the inverter with IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) switching devices for performance and endurance, because the temperature can be getting increase. In this paper, we performed the thermal flow analysis of inverter models with wave type and pin fin type cooling channels, and investigated the heat transfer characteristics of the inverter models using cooling water on channels at 8 L/min and $65^{\circ}C$. Also, we compared the thermal performance under various conditions such as coolant flow rate and layered power module structure. Therefore, we determined the feasibility of the initial inverter models and the thermal performance enhancement.
