A 6-year-old male dog was referred to Animal Medical Center, Chonbuk National University with large distal extremity abrasion wound to the hind limb by automobile accident. The wound was reconstructed with an autogenous, full-thickness skin mesh graft. The graft was harvested from the ventrolateral abdominal wall and transplanted to the wound. The skin mesh graft survived successfully without any noticeable complications. Successful grafting requires asepsis, an adequately prepared recipient bed through the surgical debridement and lavage, proper harvesting and preparation of the graft. Full-thickness skin mesh graft has lesser skin contraction which prevents formation of scar. Meshing the graft provides more graft flexibility over uneven, convex and concave surfaces and allows adequate drainage. The full-thickness skin mesh graft can be successfully used for the treatment of large distal skin wounds in dogs.

The presented paper gives an overview of several projects addressing the experimental characterization and control of the buffet phenomenon on 3D turbulent wings in transonic flow conditions. This aerodynamic instability induces strong wall pressure fluctuations and therefore limits flight domain. Consequently, to enlarge the latter but also to provide more flexibility during the design phase, it is interesting to try to delay the buffet onset. This paper summarizes the main investigations leading to the achievement of open and closed-loop buffet control and its experimental demonstration. Several wind tunnel tests campaigns, performed on a 3D half wing/fuselage body, enabled to characterize the buffet aerodynamic instability and to study the efficiency of innovative fluidic control devices designed and manufactured by ONERA. The analysis of the open-loop databases demonstrated the effects on the usual buffet characteristics, especially on the shock location and the separation areas on the wing suction side. Using these results, a closed-loop control methodology based on a quasi-steady approach was defined and several architectures were tested for various parameters such as the input signal, the objective function, the tuning of the feedback gain. All closed-loop methods were implemented on a dSPACE device able to estimate in real time the fluidic actuators command calculated mainly from the unsteady pressure sensors data. The efficiency of delaying the buffet onset or limiting its effects was demonstrated using the quasi-steady closed-loop approach and tested in both research and industrial wind tunnel environments.

Background and Purpose: The effects of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) interventions on functional brain changes in older adults remain unclear. This preliminary study aimed to explore the effect of physical exercise intervention (PEI), including HIIT, on cognitive function, physical performance, and electroencephalogram patterns in Korean elderly people. Methods: We enrolled six non-dementia participants aged >65 years from a community health center. PEI was conducted at the community health center for 4 weeks, three times/week, and 50 min/day. PEI, including HIIT, involved aerobic exercise, resistance training (muscle strength), flexibility, and balance. Wilcoxon signed rank test was used for data analysis. Results: After the PEI, there was improvement in the 30-second sit-to-stand test result (16.2±7.0 times vs. 24.8±5.5 times, p=0.027), 2-minute stationary march result (98.3±27.2 times vs. 143.7±36.9 times, p=0.027), T-wall response time (104.2±55.8 seconds vs.71.0±19.4 seconds, p=0.028), memory score (89.6±21.6 vs. 111.0±19.1, p=0.028), executive function score (33.3±5.3 vs. 37.0±5.1, p=0.046), and total Literacy Independent Cognitive Assessment score (214.6±30.6 vs. 241.6±22.8, p=0.028). Electroencephalography demonstrated that the beta power in the frontal region was increased, while the theta power in the temporal region was decreased (all p<0.05). Conclusions: Our HIIT PEI program effectively improved cognitive function, physical fitness, and electroencephalographic markers in elderly individuals; thus, it could be beneficial for improving functional brain activity in this population.

The study is aimed to suggest a preliminary data on the improvement of children's recreational facility to enhance children's creativity at Sangsang Children Park Project(SCPP) in Seoul Metropolitan City being the case study. The book review, especially the field observation was implemented by the video recording methods for analyzing the children's play behavior with regard to the six sites of the SCPP that was constructed in March 2008 until May 2010. Because of the research, the first 21 patterns of the creative activities were shown. Second, the prime using rates of facilities were the combination of play facilities among other play facilities like swings, slides, trembling horse etc. However, more children's creative behaviors occurred on independent play facilities like swing, trembling horse, etc. than at combination play facilities. Third, children's creative behaviors diversely occurred at a moving or fluid facility like a swing, trembling horse and a spatial facility like sand field more than a fixed facility like combination play facility. Fourth, children's creative behavior could be divided and evaluated by five categories and elements of fluency: the flexibility, the creativity, the elaborateness, and the imagination. Nevertheless, it was assumed that the creative elements of the five categories were mixed together with each other instead of showing an individual characteristic. Fifth, based on this analysis, the research reached out to the conclusion that the combination play facility of imaginary children's park would be designed together with more fluid and spatial facilities to improve the children's creativity. Finally, It was proposed that the play facilities of imaginary children's park like drawing wall or board, spatial play facilities and handicraft facilities etc. would be introduced to improve sorts of creativeness on elaborateness and imagination shown less than the fluency, flexibility, and originality.

In recent years, there has been an upsurge for the usage of buckling restrained braces (BRB) rather than ordinary braces, as they have evidently performed better. If the overall brace buckling is ignored, BRBs are proven to have higher energy absorption capacity and flexibility. This article aims to deliberate an economically efficient yet adequate type of all-steel BRB, comprised of the main components as in traditional ones, such as : (1) a steel core that holds all axial forces and (2) a steel restrainer tube that hinders buckling to occurr in the core; there is a more practical detailing in the BRB system due to the elimination of a filling mortar. An investigation has been conducted for the proposed rectangular-tube core BRB and it is hysteric behavioral results have been compared to previous researches conducted on a structure containing a similar plate core profile that has the same cross-sectional area in its core. A loss of strength is known to occur in the BRB when the limiting condition of local buckling is not satisfied, thus causing instability. This typically occurs when the thickness of the restrainer tube's wall is smaller than the cross-sectional area of the core plate or its width. In this study, a parametric investigation for BRBs with different formations has been performed to verify the effect of the design parameters such as different core section profiles, restraining member width to thickness ratio and relative cross-sectional area of the core to restrainer, on buckling load evaluation. The proposed BRB investigation results have also been presented and compared to past BRB researches with a plate profile as the core section, and the advantages and disadvantages of this configuration have been discussed, and it is concluded that BRBs with tubular core section exhibit a better seismic performance than the ones with a plate core profile.

A sophisticated reliability analysis method is proposed to evaluate the reliability of real nonlinear complicated dynamic structural systems excited by short duration dynamic loadings like earthquake motions by intelligently integrating the response surface method, the finite element method, the first-order reliability method, and the iterative linear interpolation scheme. The method explicitly considers all major sources of nonlinearity and uncertainty in the load and resistance-related random variables. The unique feature of the technique is that the seismic loading is applied in the time domain, providing an alternative to the classical random vibration approach. The four-parameter Richard model is used to represent the flexibility of connections of real steel frames. Uncertainties in the Richard parameters are also incorporated in the algorithm. The laterally flexible steel frame is then reinforced with reinforced concrete shear walls. The stiffness degradation of shear walls after cracking is also considered. The applicability of the method to estimate the reliability of real structures is demonstrated by considering three examples; a laterally flexible steel frame with fully restrained connections, the same steel frame with partially restrained connections with different rigidities, and a steel frame reinforced with concrete shear walls.
PVC was chosen as a plastic product that can cope with lead, a radiation shielding material that is widely used in medical institutions. In addition to radiation shielding clothing, we want to evaluate whether it can be used as a medical device component and industrial shielding material in low dose areas. Commercial PVC has a density of 3.68 g/㎠ and can be positively expected sufficient shielding effect in certain radiation areas such as material flexibility and economy efficiency, and can be transformed into various forms and used as a lightweight shielding wall. The shielding performance was tested by adjusting the thickness of 5 sheets of 3mm PVC in the range of medical radiation used for clinical examination in medical institutions. Shielding performance against effective energy was evaluated based on tube radiation voltage of medical radiation. The thicker the PVC, the lower the tube voltage and the lower the effective energy, the greater the shielding effect. The shielding effect was 70% at 12mm thickness and 80kVp tube voltage. Therefore, the shielding effect of PVC material has a high dependence of thickness. In the future, continuous research is needed to make thin and light eco-friendly products while improving shielding performance.
Purpose: The scan time reduction helps to yield more accurate results and induce the minimization of patient's motion. Also we can expect that satisfaction of examination will increase. Nowdays medical equipment companies have developed various programs to reduce scan time. We used Onco. Flash (Pixon method, SIEMENS) that is an image processing technique gated cardiac blood pool scan and going to evaluate its clinical usefullness. Materials and Method: We analyzed the 50 patients who were examined by gated blood pool scan in nuclear medicine department of Asan Mediacal Center from June $20^{th}$ 2008 to August $14^{th}$ 2008. We acquired the Full-time (6000 Kcounts) and Half-time (3000 Kcounts) LAO image in same position. And we acquired LVEF values ten times from Full-time, Half-time images acquired by the image processing technique and analyzed its mean and standard deviation values. To estimate LVEF in same conditions, we set automatic location of the LV ROI and background ROI based on same X and Y-axis. Also we performed blinding tests to physician. Results: After making a quantitative analysis of the 50 patients EF values, each mean${\pm}$standard deviation is shown at Full-time image $68.12{\pm}7.84%$, Half- time (acquired by imaging processing technique) $68.49{\pm}8.73%$. In the 95% confidence limit, there was no statistically significant difference (p>0.05). After blinding test with a physician for making a qualitative analysis, there was no difference between Full-time image and Half-time image acquired by the image processing technique for observing LV myocardial wall motion. Conclusion: Gated cardiac blood pool scan has been reported its relatively exact EF measured results than ultrasound or CT. But gated cardiac blood pool scan takes relatively longer time than other exams and now it needs to improve time competitive power. If we adapt Half-time technique to gated cardiac blood pool scintigraphy based on this study, we expect to reduce possible artifacts and improve accessibility as well as flexibility to exam. Also we expect patient's satisfaction.

A concrete structure has become bigger and higher because of development of construction technology and a change in construction environment. Also it tends to focus on repairing, reinforcement and exterior in harmony with environment for structure maintenance and performance improvement. The research is about eco friendly durable painting applicable to concrete structure using civil and architecture. it purpose to improve external beauties and durable problems due to flexibility by variation of temperature, adhesion of exterior wall, crack and delamination in existing organic and mineral painting. For those problems, we made a eco friendly pre-paint that is made with preliminary treatment mixture as a highly enriched waterproof agent and adhesive increasing agent in preprocessing mixture. Then we performed an experiment on durability of prevention neutralization of concrete, durability abrasion, hiding power, adhesion, temperature resistance and resistance to chemical attack. The result of an experiment shows that hiding power is over 0.96 in standard test, durability abrasion test got higher value 1mg than water paint 75mg and tensile strength is 6 times higher than standard waterproof specification.
With the current rapid changes in population and technology, the long-lastig housing certification system is a means of prolonging the physical and functional lifespan of a building. The certification requires differentiation between the structure and infill elements to allow for variability and ease of repairs. This works well with prefabricated houses so this study investigated the possibility of applying the long-lastig housing certification requirements to apartment construction using off-site construction (OSC) methods focused on the installation of bathrooms (plumbing and toilet) that differ from the traditional wet method. This study examined three different sized floor plans at 22 m2, 46 m2, and a combined one resulting in 69 m2. The larger 69 m2 plan utilized a removeable non-load bearing wall to increase flexibility in the layout of the floorplan. The apartments are constructed of steel reinforced concrete composite columns on a 9 m × 10.5 m grid with integrated slabs. The exterior and interior infill walls are all non-load bearing with some containing plumbing. This separation of the structure and infill walls can help meet some of the criteria in the long-lastig housing certification, particularly with the ease of repairs. Technologies that facilitate the replacement of infill elements that contain plumbing and other building services can benefit the nation by reducing carbon emissions and therefore tax incentives should be introduced to increase the adoption of the proposed construction methods.
