Patients entering an emergency care center in a hospital usually visit medical processes in different orders depending on the urgency level and the medical treatments required. We formulate the patient flows among diverse processes in an emergency care center using the Jackson network, which is one of the queueing networks, in order to evaluate the system performances such as the expected queue length and the expected waiting time. We present a case study based on actual data collected from an emergency care center in a hospital, in order to prove the validity of applying the Jackson network model in practice. After assessing the current system performances, we provide operational strategies to reduce waiting at the bottleneck processes and evaluate the impact of those strategies on the entire system.

The purpose of this study is to search for an efficient application method in solving delay-phenomenon problems which influence upon total production cost through case study. The method of this study is an experimental study based on cutting time data in lead cutting operations from "Lead Cutting Machine (Stripper)" and its service rate data from a large electronic products company which utilizes conveyor line system for the products "Car Stereo" The procedure of this experimental study is as follows; 1) Using loading(Man-Hour) analysis technique j,1 order to analyse and evaluate Production capacity, efficiency, operation and idle rate assembly charge, waiting and service cost -when its are controlled by stripper operator(server) 2) Establishing adequate waiting time model of finite population caused by the interference of 4 stripper machine which is drawn from mathematical statistics testing, that is, goodness of fit test in the waiting and service rate and to search for optimal solution by utilizing the above mentioned model The experimental result was that amount to 8,546,618won Per year was brought down, that is, by optimum point, it shows a decrease as compared with Present point. The major limitation of this experimental study is that the Queue in the Finite Population, so to speak. it comes from the interference of 4 stripper machine dealt with this case were limited only on the Car Stereo conveyor line. Further study of application of this application method to the areas such as material handling, personnel management marketing and transportation management is strong1y recommended.trong1y recommended.

비대칭 통신환경에서는 서버가 사용자에게 데이터를 전송하는 방법으로 데이터 방송을 사용한다. 이 방법은 서버에서 사용자에게 필요한 모든 데이터를 주기적으로 반복해서 전송하고 사용자는 필요한 데이터가 방송되면 그 데이터를 사용한다. 그러므로 사용자는 필요한 데이터가 방송될 때까지 기다려야한다. 이러한 사용자의 대기시간은 줄여야만 한다. 대기시간을 줄이기 위하여 서버에서는 각각의 데이터의 순서를 스케줄링하여 방송해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 사용자가 각각의 데이터를 요청할 확률, 데이터의 크기와 데이터의 최적주기를 이용하여 데이터를 스케줄링하는 방법을 제안하고 이 방법들의 효용성을 검증했다. 이를 위해 제안한 방법으로 데이터를 스케줄링하여 사용자의 평균대기시간을 구하는 실험을 하였다. 실험 결과 빈도만 고려한 방법에 비해 약 13%의 성능이 증가되었다.

일괄 수용 서비스 스케줄링에서의 배칭(Batching) 기법은 서비스를 요청한 사용자들을 일정 시간 동안 그룹화하여 한꺼번에 서비스하기 때문에 서비스 개시를 위한 지연시간이 발생한다. 그러나 이 지연시간을 효과적으로 제어하지 못하면 대기시간의 불규칙으로 서비스 공정성이 저하되고, 서비스 취소가 발생할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 배칭(Batching) 기법인 선입 선출(FCFS) 및 빈도수 우전 방식(MQL)에서 문제시되던 평균 대기시간의 증가, 비 인기 비디오의 서비스 지연 문제를 해결하기 위한 리그 배칭 정책을 제안한다. 본 스케줄링 정책의 개념은 사용자의 요구와 파티션 디스크의 서비스 형태를 감안한 리그를 기초로 한다. 이를 시뮬레이션 한 결과, 기존의 방식들에 비하여 서비스 평균 지연 시간을 약 18% 정도 단축된 향상된 결과를 보임을 입증하였다.

유한버퍼를 갖는 시스템에 대한 분석은 광범위하게 연구되어 왔다. 하지만, 상수 공정시간을 갖는 시스템에 대해서도 안정 대기시간에 대한 고차평균과 꼬리확률에 대한 간결한 표현식은 소개된 적이 없다. 유한버퍼로 인한 차단현상으로 유발되는 복잡성 때문에 일반적인 대기행렬이론은 이를 적절히 다루지 못한다. 본 연구에서는 max-plus 대수를 활용한 기존 연구결과로 부터 상수 공정시간과 DBR (Drum-Buffer-Rope) 재고규칙을 따르는 라인생산시스템에서의 대기시간에 대한 간결한 표현식을 도출하였다.

Nowadays, with increasing many vehicles on restricted roads, the conventional traffic light creates prove startup-delaytime and end-lag-time. The conventional traffic light loses the function of optimal cycle. And so, 30∼45% of conventional traffic cycle is not matched to the present traffic cycle. In this paper proposes electrosensitive traffic light using fuzzy look up table method which will reduce the average vehicle waiting time and improve average vehicle speed. Computer simulation results prove that reducing the average vehicle waiting time which proposed considering passing vehicle length for optimal traffic cycle is better than fixed signal method which doesn't consider vehicle length.

기업은 고객이 원하는 시기에 원하는 제품을 구매할 수 있도록 항상 준비가 되어 있어야 한다. 고객의 수요를 만족시키기 위하여 기업은 다양한 수요예측방법을 통하여 적절한 재고 수준과 수요예측을 하고 있다. 제조 기업의 경우에는 다른 산업에 비하여 정확한 수요예측과 낮은 재고 수준의 유지가 비용과 직접적인 연관이 있기 때문에 제조 기업은 경제적인 주문량 결정(Economic Order Quantity: EOQ)이 매우 중요한 문제이다. 주문량을 결정하는 방법에는 여러 가지가 있지만, 본 논문에서는 고객 지연을 방지하기 위하여 경제적 주문량 결정에 고객 지연과 관련된 비용을 포함시키는 것은 물론 고객 지연이라는 상황을 방지하는 노력의 한 방법으로 가격 할인(discount system)을 이용하고자 한다. 가격 할인을 이용하여 고객으로 하여금 빠른 주문을 유도하고 그로 인하여 고객 지연 상황의 발생을 줄여보려고 한다.
