The frameworks for evaluation of national R&D programs reflect their various political and administrative cultures(Gibbons & Georghiou, 1987), and the structure of national R&D system. In this research the core research questions are : what is god evaluation\ulcorner What is being evaluated, by whom, by which criteria, for whom and what purpose\ulcorner In order to examine these general aims and answer these questions, in detail several objectives can be proposed on the process of this research. In this research, the national R&D programs will be considered in terms of the interface between evaluation and the wider policy-making process. The programs for case study are the Alvey program(UK), the Advanced Technology Program (US) and the Framework program(EU) . One of the characteristics of these programs is the well established evaluation systems they have. From the comparative analysis, we can withdraw some useful implication for Korean evaluation practice for national R&D programs. Evaluation system is social process and the way in which it is organized is critical to its outcome.

Object-oriented paradigm has required the fundamental changes in the developers' practice and orientation. However. the relevant literature has not still provided the solid practical methodology but created some myths regarding Use Case modeling. In this study. we attempt to 'demythologize' some key aspects of Use Case Modeling by describing what we have observed in our research and practice. In order to identify the developers' perceptions. the survey methodology was utilized. By discussing the differences between what must be done and what has been done. this study provides rich insights into the better understanding of the Use Case modeling and the successful development of object-oriented systems.

The traditional documents analysis was centered on words based system was implemented using a morpheme analyzer. These traditional systems can classify used words in the document but, cannot help to user's document understanding or analysis. In this problem solved, System needs extract for most valuable paragraphs what can help to user understanding documents. In this paper, we propose system extracts paragraphs of normalized XML document. User insert to system what filename when wants for analyze XML document. Then, system is search for keyword of the document. And system shows results searched keyword. When user choice and inserts keyword for user wants then, extracting for paragraph including keyword. After extracting paragraph, system operating maintenance paragraph sequence and check duplication. If exist duplication then, system deletes paragraph of duplication. And system informs result to user what counting each keyword frequency and weight to user, sorted paragraphs.

The purpose of this study was to develop a Home Economics curriculum for high school students based on practical problems focusing on Food and Nutrition. This study developed practical-problem based approach to curriculum development. This curriculum provided a series of the objectives, contents, learning activities, and assessments. The objectives were divided into process objectives and content objectives. The objectives focused on three systems of action which were technical action, communicative action, and emancipatory action. The contents of this curriculum focused on three practical problems； 1) What should I do regarding my well-being\ulcorner ； 2) What should I do regarding my family’s well-being\ulcorner ； 3) What should I do regarding my society’s well-being\ulcorner The cooperative learning strategies were mainly used in this curriculum. Students were assessed through learning experiences and achievement.

Ground motion scaling techniques are actively debated in the earthquake engineering community. Considerations such as what amplitude, over what period range and to what target spectrum are amongst the questions of practical importance. In this paper, the effect of various ground motion scaling approaches are explored using three reinforced concrete prototypical building models of 8, 12 and 20 stories designed to respond nonlinearly under a design level earthquake event in the seismically active Southern California region. Twenty-one recorded earthquake motions are selected using a probabilistic seismic hazard analysis and subsequently scaled using four different strategies. These motions are subsequently compared to spectrally compatible motions. The nonlinear response of a planar frameidealized building is evaluated in terms of plasticity distribution, floor level acceleration and uncorrelated acceleration amplification ratio distributions; and interstory drift distributions. The most pronounced response variability observed in association with the scaling method is the extent of higher mode participation in the nonlinear demands.

This paper reports a preliminary investigation on the time course of intersyllabic coarticulation in Standard Chinese. In this investigation, around 3800 phonetically compact C1V1-C2V2 type disyllabic structures 3re employed to observe the acoustic effect of coarticulation in general, and about 400 disyllabic words are designed as the materials to examine: (1) How the articulators move from one syllable to the next？ (2) What is the extent to which the syllables overlapped？ And (3) In what sense, the syllables are produced in parallel; and in what sense, they are in sequence？ For the convenience of description, we just take the offset transition of V1 end the onset transition of C2 os the rough representations for anticipatory and carryover effect respectively, durational measurements are made correspondingly. To evaluate the possible influence on the behavior of gestural overlap from stress contrast and constituent difference of the syllables, analysis of variance are counducted as well. Based on this study, Some impressions about general nature of coarticulation behined the intersyllabic gesture overlapping in this language are discussed.

During the last three decades, earth science has been re-conceptualized as an interdisciplinary discipline entitled Earth System Science (ESS), which is based on knowledge of the physical earth system and human impact on the earth. While there is increasing effort to teach earth as a system in K-12 education, teachers' preparedness of to teach earth system is still in its infancy. This article focuses on reviewing the literature of teachers' knowledge of earth systems and of how teachers' knowledge of subject matter affects their teaching practice and pedagogical content knowledge (PCK). First, the study investigated a literature of PCK in general as well as in science teaching. Then this study duscuss what teachers' subject matter knowledge (SMK) is and what it means to be in teaching earth system science. Third, a literature of teachers' knowledge of earth system was reviewed. Finally, a number of suggestions and implications are made as to what teacher education program should do to better prepare future teachers to teach earth systems.

Customer value is the source for competitive advantage of online businesses such as Internet shopping malls and portal service. It is important to analyze the relationship between customer value and repurchase in order to provide a guideline of successful online business. The purpose of this paper is to get answers for the following questions. First, what are key components of customer value in online business？ Second, What difference exists in the importance or expectance of customer value and its current service level of online business？ Finally, what influence relationships exist in customer value and repurchase intentions？ Data collected from 615 respondents who experienced purchase on the Internet shopping malls were used to test a research model.

Since Component-Based Development, or CBD, struck Korea SI industry a heavy blow several years ago, many major SI companies in Korea have implemented the CBD practices in real world, leveraging supports from the government and academic world. The result, however, falls short of their expectations. The major reason is that they have mainly focused on CBD processes and technical issues around it, although it is necessary as well to deal with other non-technical issues in order to make business values from CBD. This paper begins with reminding us what CBD tries to achieve indeed in terms of software development processes, then recognizes what we have achieved so far introducing a recent CBD project case, BOK-WIRE system. Thereafter, it reveals the chances that SI companies must take in order to make their CBD efforts succeed, pointing out what are the roadblocks really.
