Identification of the Marker-Genes for Dioxin(2, 3, 7, 8- tetradibenzo-p-dioxin)-Induced Immune Dysfunction by Using the High-Density Oligonucleotide Microarray

  • In a variety of animal species, the perinatal exposure of experimental animals to the 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo­p-dioxin (TCDD) leads to the immune dysfunction, which is more severe and persistent than that caused by adult exposure. We report here the changes of gene expression and the identification of the marker-genes representing the dioxin exposure. The expressions of the transcripts were analyzed using the 11 K oligonucleotide­microarray from the bone marrow cells of male C57BL/6J mice after an intraperitoneal injection of $1{\mu}g$ TCDD/kg body weight at various time intervals: gestational 6.5 day(G6.5), 13.5 day(G13.5), 18.5 day(G18.5), and postnatal 3 (P3W)and 6 week (P6W). The type of self-organizing maps(SOM) representing the specific exposure dioxin could be identified as follows; G6.5D(C14), G13.5D(C0, C5, C10, C18), G18.5D(7): P3W(C2, C21), and P6W(C4, C15, C20). The candidate marker-genes were restricted to the transcripts, which could be consistently expressed greater than $\pm$2-fold in three experiments. The resulting candidates were 85 genes, the characteristics of that were involved in cell physiology and cell functions such as cell proliferation and immune function. We identified the biomarker-genes for dioxin exposure: smc -like 2 from SOM C14 for the dioxin exposure at G6.5D, focal adhesion kinase and 6 other genes from C0, and protein tyrosine phosphatase 4a2 and 3 other genes from C5 for G13.5D, platelet factor 4 from C7 for G18.5D, fos from C2 for P3W.

  • 국내외적으로 차세대 아키텍처인 SOA에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있으며, 수년 내에 SOA가 일반적인 아키텍처가 될 것으로 전망 되고 있다. 하지만, 여전히 많은 기업들이 막연하게 SOA가 현실화 되기 에는 아직은 많은 위험 요소가 있는 것으로 판단 하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 SOA기반 차세대 Architecture에 대한 시나리오 기반의 정성적, 정량적인 검증을 수행 하여 아키텍처적인 관점에서 타당성을 제시하고, SOA를 실제 구축 프로젝트에 적용하기 위한 방안을 제시하여, 이론 및 사상적인 측면에서 벗어나 현실화된 Architecture로써 SOA가 도입 될 수 있도록 하고자 한다.

The properties of TiC/Al surface alloy using a high power $CO_2$-laser (고출력 이산화탄소 레이저에 의한 TiC/Al 표면합금의 특성)

  • The properties of TiC/Al surface alloy prepared using a high power $CO_2$-laser was investigated. To analyze this process, the physical properties between substrate [Al] and TiC powder were measured. Surface layer size profiles, optical absorption rate and powder efficiency were measured as afunction of the laser output in TiC/Al matrix. Regardless of TiC powder existence, the absorption rate in substrate Al was decreased when laser output increased. When the laser output increased in the range of 2kW to 4.5 kW, the powder efficiency increased from 4% to 12%. However, TiC powder were not melted in molten aluminum. As a result, increased powder particles easily penetrated to the surface layer and created a two phase states in the metal matrix.

  • This paper describes an integrated H/W-S/W implementation of elliptic curve digital signature algorithm (EC-DSA) using a security system-on-chip (SoC). The security SoC uses the Cortex-A53 APU as CPU, and the hardware IPs of high-performance elliptic curve cryptography (HP-ECC) core and SHA3 (secure hash algorithm 3) hash function core are interfaced via AXI4-Lite bus protocol. The signature generation and verification processes of EC-DSA were verified by the implementation of the security SoC on a Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC device.

  • The miniaturization of device size and submicron process causes serious problems in conventional metallization due to the solubility of silicon and metal at the interface, such as an increasing contact resistance in the contact hole and interdiffusion between metal and silicon. Moreover, the interaction between Cu and Si is so strong and detrimental to the electrical performance of Si even at temperatures below $200^{\circ}C$. Therefore it is necessary to implement a barrier layer between Cu and Si. So we study W-C-N diffusion barrier for prevent Cu diffusion as a function of $N_2$ gas flow and thermal stability. Especially, we also study the W-C-N diffusion barrier for analyzing the change of lattice constants.

  • W3C는 웹에 대한 국제표준을 개발하는 표준화 기구로 HTML5 표준을 포함하여 CSS, XML, OWL 등 웹 생태계에 필요한 핵심적인 표준을 개발해 왔으며, 최근에는 웹 페이먼트, 사물웹, 오토모티브 웹에 대한 표준을 개발하는 하고 있다. 본 고에서는 표준화 기구인 W3C에 대한 간단한 소개와 함께 최근에 주요하게 개발되고 있는 표준을 중심으로 W3C 표준화 동향에 대해서 알아본다.

  • By the variational method, the coplanar waveguide(C.P.W) shielded by two conducting plates has been analyzed. The particular potential solution has been obtained for the boundary conditions in C.P.W. The characteristic impedance and the effective dielectric constant in C.P.W. have been obtained by the variational method using the potential function and the assumed basis function for charge distributions. To consider the effect of the conducting plate in C.P.W. two cases, with and without the top plate, have been analyzed and compared respectively.

Effect of Particle Size and Mixing Ratio on Quality of Fluidized Coated Vitamin C (입자크기와 혼합비에 따른 유동층 코팅 비타민 C의 품질 특성)

  • The purpose of this study was to improve the stability and the processing property of vitamin C. Vitamin C was coated according to particle size(80-100 mesh, 100-140 mesh) and mixing ratio(1:1.6, 1:2.5, 1:3(w/w)) with coating solution(8% Zein-DP, 6% HPMC-FCC), and then the quality characteristics of fluidized bed micro coated vitamin C were investigated. The coating efficiency and the thickness of coating film were higher in $80{\sim}100$ mesh particle than in $100{\sim}140$ mesh particles, and coating efficiency was decreased as the coating material was increased. The distribution range of particle was more narrow in mixing ratio of 1:3(w/w) than in the other. DPPH radical scavenging activity was not affected by the particle size and the mixing ratio. There was no difference between the coating materials in terms of the quality characteristics. The optimum coating condition for fluidized bed micro-coating of vitamin C powder was selected as the particle size of $80{\sim}100$ mesh and the mixing ratio with coating solution of 1:3(w/w).

  • Let C be a smooth projective curve and W a symplectic bundle over C of degree w. Let π : 𝕃𝔾(W) → C be the relative Lagrangian Grassmannian over C and Sd(W) be the space of Lagrangian subbundles of degree w -d. Then Kontsevich's space ${\bar{\mathcal{M}}}_g$(𝕃𝔾(W), βd) of stable maps to 𝕃𝔾(W) is a compactification of Sd(W). In this article, we give an upper bound on the dimension of ${\bar{\mathcal{M}}}_g$(𝕃𝔾(W), βd), which is an analogue of a result in [8] for the relative Lagrangian Grassmannian.

  • The specific heat capacity and density of soybean oil and soy protein composing of the soybean curd were measured between $30^{\circ}C\;and\;-40^{\circ}C$. The thermal conductivity of soybean oil was measured to be 0.160 and 0.140, $W/m{\cdot}K$ at unfrozen and frozen states, respectively. The effective thermal conductivity of the soybean curd depended not only on its water content but also on its fat and protein contents.
