Permanent structure of photoinduced singlemode waveguide in optical fluoride glasses was demonstrated using the self-channeled plasma filament excited by a femtosecond (110 fs) Ti:sapphire laser ($λ_p$ = 800 nm). The photoinduced refractive index modification in ZBLAN glasses reached a length of approximately 10 - 15 mm from the input surface of the optical glass with the diameters ranging from 5 to 8 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ at input intensities more than l.0 ${\times}$ $10^{12}$ W/$\textrm{cm}^2$. The graded refractive index profiles were fabricated to be a symmetric form from the center of an optical fluoride glass and a maximum value of refractive index change (ㅿn) was measured to be l.3${\times}$$10^{-2}$. The beam profile of the output beam transmitted through the modified region showed that the photoinduced refractive index modification produced a permanent structure of singlemode waveguide.

비동기식 회로는 전역 클록이 없이 모듈끼리의 핸드셰이크 프로토콜에 의해 데이터를 동기화하고, 전송하는 회로로 전역 클록에 기반한 동기식 회로에 비해 전역 클록으로 인한 문제점들, 예를 들면, 타이밍 종결 문제, 전력 소모 문제, 다중 클록 도메인 설계 문제 등에서 이점을 갖는다. 최근에는 이 두 가지 회로의 장점을 모아 서로 다른 클록에 기반한 비교적 작은 규모의 동기식 모듈을 기반으로 모듈끼리의 데이터 전송을 비동기식으로 수행하는 GALS 구조도 많이 연구되고 있다. 본 고에서는 이러한 비동기식 회로를 위한 설계 방식을 설명하기 위해 먼저, 비동기식 회로의 특성과 설계 동향, 설계 방식에 영향을 미치는 핸드셰이크 프로토콜 및 지연 모델을 소개한다. 그리고, 크게 세가지의 설계 방식을 간단한 예제를 통해 설명한다.

A case of primary non-clear-cell adenocarcinoma of the vagina is reported occurring in a 65-year-old woman without exposure to diethylstilbestrol (DES) in utero. The adenocarcinoma did not appear to be associated with vaginal adenosis. It lacked clear cell component and interestingly composed of columnar epithelial cells of endocervical-type. Cytologically round to oval nuclei revealed one or more small nucleoli and fine granular chromatin pattern. Cytoplasm was plump, faintly basophilic and homogeneously stained. Histologically well differentiated columnar epithelial cells were arranged on trabecular pattern mainly, and also occasional glandular lumina and small solid sheets were found. Mitoses were hardly found.

We present the case of a 49-year-old man with a dog bite on his right index finger at the mid-phalanx level. The finger was severely contaminated by the dog bite but, the amputation margin was clean. We replantated the stump. His finger was recovered very successfully 12 months later. It is recommended that in these types of cases, replantation of the severed finger should proceed even if the amputated finger was contaminated by the dog bite, unless there are other factors that prevent replantation.

In this paper, design parameters of Rapid Thermal Processing(RrW) to minimize the wafer tempera ture uniformity errors are proposed. 1,anip ling positions and the wafer height are important parameters for waf er temperature uniformity in R'I'P. We propose the method to seek lamp ling positions and the wafer height for optimal temperature uniformity. l'he ~~roposed method is applied to seek optimal lamp ling positions and the waf er height of 8 inch wafer. 'I'o seek the optimal lamp ling positions and the wafer height, we var\ulcorner. lamp ling 110s itions and the wafer height and then formulate the wafer temperature uniformity problem to the linear programmi ng problem. Finally, it is shown that the wafer temperature uniformity in RI'I' designed by optimal prarneters is improved to comparing with Ii'l'P designed by the other method.

This paper describes a 1 GHz, low-phase-noise CMOS fractional-N frequency synthesizer with an integrated LC VCO. The proposed frequency synthesizer, which uses a high-order delta-sigma modulator to suppress the fractional spurious tones at all multiples of the fractional frequency resolution offset, has 64 programmable frequency channels with frequency resolution of $f_ref/64$. The measured phase noise is as low as -110 dBc/Hz at a 200 KHz offset frequency from a carrier frequency of 980 MHz. The reference sideband spurs are -73.5 dBc. The prototype is implemented in a $0.5{\mu}m$ CMOS process with triple metal layers. The active chip area is about $4mm^2$ and the prototype consumes 43 mW, including the VCO buffer power consumption, from a 3.3 V supply voltage.

A linear generator driven by a hydrogen combustion engine has been developed. Unlike rotary engine-generator systems, the linear counterpart is inherently unable to start by itself unless external force is provided for initial compression/ignition cycle. When the generator is connected to utility power lines through a bidirectional power conversion system, however, the self start-up can be done by driving the generator as a motor. This paper introduces a prototype 1kW linear hydrogen engine-generator system being developed and shows the self start-up is possible with proper motoring mode.

The present study investigates experimentally the characteristics of liquid jet, which is, the spray flow in the normal direction of the air stream under the flow conditions of air velocity $110\sim125m/s$. The present study adopts with the flow visualization technique using a short duration light bulb and the image processing analyse with CCD camera. Two types of injector were used: one is a flat plate type, and the other is backward facing step type, which height are 5, 8, 10mm. Dispersion of liquid jet can be represented by gray level of CCD camera. In the upstream of liquid jet, the backward facing step shows better liquid jet penetration. However, in the downstream. mean droplet size for backward facing step injector is smaller than that for flat plate injector

SrS:Cu, Cl thin films have been grown by the hot wall technique with S furnace placed on the outside of the growth chamber in order to investigate the crystallographic and optical characteristics. The films have a good crystallinity independent of CuCl wall temperature and PL characteristics showed a peak assigned by the transition form $3d^94s^1\;(^3Eg)$ to $3d^{10}\;(^1A_{1g})$ of $Cu^+$ center. It has also been found that. from the PLE spectra, $Cu^+$ luminescent centers are doped in the host materials. The EL emission from SrS:Cu-based device showed a greenish-blue but shifted to short wavelength compared to SrS:Ce-based EL. The device was obtained the maximum luminance of $110cd/m^2$ and the maximum luminous efficiency of $0.1\;lm/W$ at $V_{40}$.
