Mission Scenario-based Design of Hydraulic Manipulators for Armored Robot Systems (미션 시나리오기반 장갑형 로봇시스템 유압매니퓰레이터 설계)

  • In this study to develop disaster response robot in complex disaster site, we present the design of hydraulic manipulators for armored robot systems. To this end, we performed voice of customer researches with firefighters and rescue personnel. We created and analyzed the mission scenario of firefighters and rescue personnel in complex disaster situations, and derived the required functions of the robot to successfully perform missions. A heavy-duty, heat resistant, dexterous hydraulic robot manipulators is designed to realize the required functions. The designed robot has been verified through simulations and analysis in terms of the working area of the robot, actuating torques, and temperature analysis.

A Study on the development quality control by application of QFD and Stage-gate in defense system (QFD 및 Stage-gate 모델을 활용한 국방분야 개발단계 품질관리 방안 연구)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to propose adoption of QFD and Stage-gate in order to analyze the quality of korea defense system. Methods: Drawing change data of initial production phase in korea defense system were anlayzed and a practical method was proposed. Results: The results of this study are as follows; Off line Quality Control should be introduced in development phase. Specially, in case of defense system, the best method is QFD(Quality Function Deployment) and Stage-gate process. At first, QFD 1 step defines product planning from VOC(Voice Of Customer), QFD 2 step specifies part planning from product planning, QFD 3 step defines process planning from part planning, QFD 4 step defines production planning from previous process planning. Secondly, Stage-gate process is adopted. This study is proposed 5 stage-gate in case of korea defense development. Gate 1 is located after SFR(System Function Review), Gate 2 is located after PDR(Preliminary Design Review), Gate 3 is located after CDR(Critical Design Review), Gate 4 is located after TRR(Test Readiness Review) and Gate 5 is located before specification documentation submission. Conclusion: Off line QC(Quality Control) in development phase is necessary prior to on line QC(Quality Control) in p roduction phase. For the purpose of off line quality control, QFD(Quality Function Deployment) and Stage-gate process can be adopted.

  • RFID is the core of realizing ubiquitous environment. This is expected to improve economical effect through related industry revitalization, make-work, and so on, in the future, and to be linked to social see-through enhancement via national life change. However unchecked RFID use lets retailers collect unprecedented huge information and they link it to customer information database, so the voice of worry to bring about a result of trampling down consumer privacy doesn't make a negligible situation. Although RFID system is spreaded out socially, the servicing of law and system is not accomplished to protect individuals from personal information violation threat. At the same time, in ubiquitous computing environment, to protect individual information efficiently, from the step of planning and deciding this technology system, constitutional law, norm, the basic legal rights of the people, and so forth is to be considered. The objective of the research is to persent the privacy protection from the viewpoints of law on RFID.

  • In this paper, we deal with an effective dynamic bandwidth allocation(DBA) scheme in order to support the qualify of services (QoS) in the customer access network which supports various applications with own service requirements. we discuss the DBA scheme for upstream traffic in the EPON which support both the delay sensitive traffic such as voice and real-time video and non-real time traffic such as data and BE. We propose the new DBA scheme which guarantee the delay performance of the real time traffic and utilize the upstream bandwidth effectively in the limited resource environment. We analize the delay performance of the proposed scheme by simulation.

  • In this paper we describe a VoIP transcript system which is able to record call conversation between counselor and customer in an IP contact center based on IP telephony environment. The transcript system, designed and implemented in this paper, uses packet sniffering to capture packets without imposing network overhead on overall system. It can decode H.323 and SIP which are used to setup call sessions in VoIP environment and captures voice data and record without any loss of contents. Implemented transcript system can be integrated with CTI system in that it can manage and record call more effectively. It is designed generically so that it is implemented both on Windows and Linux environment.

  • The development of information & technology and the Internet provides various connecting routes between manufacturers with consumers. These expanded routes has made it possible for customers to directly transfer their voice to manufacturers, but a research on how the manufacturers respond the customers needs has to be further conducted. In this paper, a method in which a best supplier would be chosen based on customers needs from the perspective of a buyer has been presented. A method that makes it possible to evaluate and choose the best supplier in accordance with consumers requirement by analyzing customers needs and the evaluated data also has been designed.

  • The eye tracking system designed in this paper is an eye-based computer input device designed to give an easy access for those who are uncomfortable with Lou Gehrig's or various muscle-related diseases. It is an eye-based-computer-using device for users whose potential demand alone amounts to 30,000. Combining the number of Lou Gehrig's patients in Korea estimated at around 1,700, and those who are unable to move their bodies due to various accidents or diseases. Because these eye input devices are intended for a small group of users, many types of commercial devices are available on the market. It is making them more expensive and difficult to use for these potential users, less accessible. For this reason, each individual's economic situation and individual experience with smart devices are slightly different. Therefore, making it difficult to access them in terms of cost or usability to use a commercial eye tracking system. Accordingly, attempts to improve accessibility to IT devices through low-cost but easy-to-use technologies are essential. Thus, this paper proposes a complementary superior performance eye tracking system that can be conveniently used by far more people and patients by improving the deficiencies of the existing system. Through voluntary VoCs(Voice of Customers) of users who have used different kinds of eye tracking systems that satisfies it through various usability tests, and we propose a reduced system that the amount of calculation to 1/15th, and eye-gaze tracking error rate to 0.5~1 degree under.

A Comparison Research on the Expected Satisfaction and Actual Satisfaction on VOC of one General Hospital (서울소재 일개 종합병원의 CRM에 대한 기대만족도와 실제만족도 비교와 VOC활용)

  • The Korean healthcare industry is rapidly changing along with the competition among hospitals. In the past, hospitals could make profit without designing competitive management strategies. Thus, they did not find importance in listening to customers' voices and identifying their wants. However, nowadays, the increasingly intense competition is encouraging hospitals to seriously consider competitive management strategies and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) activities to gain a competitive advantage and prosper. It tries to compare the expected satisfaction with the satisfaction of out-patient and in-patient and analysis of VOC(Voice of Customer). This survey was done from 27th, April, 2009 to 8th May and each 100 in-patients and out-patients. The paired t-test and descriptive analysis was used to analysis between before and after satisfaction. The result, the replied out-patients were the highest of I.M department, 43% and in-patients, surgery and other department are the highest each 22.0%. Nurses kindness is statistical significant in out-patients. Doctor, Nurse and staff's kindness and rounding service was statistical significant in in-patients. Totally, the satisfaction was lower than expected satisfaction, so the medical care institutions should analyst detailed the patient's satisfaction by VOC.

A Study on the Recognition of Massage Therapist About the Spa-therapy (스파테라피에 대한 피부관리사의 인식에 관한 조사)

  • The purpose of this study was to give help for more activation to the area of spa industry appropriate to the emotion of our country based on the spa of recognition of massage specialist. Aroma Essencial oil bath was the first favorite of the customers when they're going to have bath in Hydro-therapy or with some other material in their bathtub according to the general results of the previous study. The most high voice of discontent of customers was the high price and the main customer's ages on the spa-therapy were the ages 30s and 40s. The method for activation for future spa-therapy were showed as the better facilities and advertising, reasonable price, systematic education programs, professionalists as an order. The proper care hours for spa-therapy that customers like most was 1:30-2:30 and the resonable price of one time care of that was shown as 100,000-200,000 won. The priority actions for the competition with foreigners on this area of spa-therapy will be the various and nation-wide advertisement of the effectiveness on spa-therapy to the customers to use easily and to be made being generalized on their lives. And the our inland spa-therapy must have main position at the center of cities, the various programs to satisfy the Korean traditional culture of them should be studied and introduced. And at that time future inland spa-therapy industry will have power for the competitions with similar foreign industries.
