IMBE(Improved Multi-Band Excitation) vocoders exhibit good performance at low data rates. The major drawback to IMBE coders is their large computational requirements. In this paper, thus, we propose a new pitch search method that preserves the quality of the IMBE vocoder with reduced complexity. The basic idea is to skip unnecessary range of the pitch searching by using the quantization error. Applying the proposed method to the IMBE vocoder, we can get approximately $45.88\%$ processing time reduction and there is no difference in voice quality between conventional IMBE and proposed IMBE.

Active surface adjustment of cable net structures is becoming significant when large-size cable net structures are widely applied in various fields, especially in satellite antennas. A general-duty adjustment method based on active cables is proposed to achieve active surface adjustment or surface profile reconfiguration of cable net structures. Piezoelectric actuators and voice coil actuators are selected for constructing active cable structures and their simplified mechanical models are proposed. A bilevel optimization model of active surface adjustment is proposed based on the nonlinear static model established by the direct stiffness method. A pattern search algorithm combined with the trust region method is developed to solve this optimization problem. Numerical examples of a parabolic cable net reflector are analyzed and different distribution types of active cables are compared.

최근 인공지능 기술의 발전과 함께 물리탐사의 다양한 분야에서도 인공지능의 핵심 기술인 머신러닝의 활용도가 증가하고 있다. 또한 머신러닝 및 딥러닝을 활용한 연구는 이미지, 비디오, 음성, 자연어 등 다양한 태스크의 추론 정확도를 높이기 위해 복잡한 알고리즘들이 개발되고 있고, 더 나아가 자료의 특성, 알고리즘 구조 및 하이퍼 파라미터의 최적화를 위한 자동 머신러닝(AutoML) 분야로 그 폭을 넓혀가고 있다. 본 연구에서는 AutoML 분야 중에서도 하이퍼 파라미터(hyperparameter) 자동 탐색을 위한 베이지안 최적화 기술에 중점을 두었으며, 본 기술을 물리탐사 분야에서도 암상 분류(facies classification) 문제에 적용했다. Vincent field의 현장 물리검층 및 탄성파 자료를 이용하여 암상 및 공극유체를 분류하는 지도학습 기반 모델에 적용하였고, 랜덤 탐색 기법의 결과와 비교하여 베이지안 최적화 기반 예측 프레임워크의 효율성을 검증하였다.

Ships at sea cannot exchange data among them easily so far. Basically voice-oriented communication systems are the main methods, some of them utilize the HF radio systems at lower bit rates, and for higher bit rates, the Inmarsat or VSAT are adopted. None of them are used widely because of lower qualities and higher costs. There exist many technical and economical limits to have the Internet service just like on land such as the WWW service. In order to achieve the improved transmission rates of the maritime communication networks at farther sea, MANET(Mobile Ad Hoc Network) is one of the most practical models. In this paper, a new routing protocol named EZR (Expansive Search Zone Routing Protocol) is proposed, which is based on SANET (Ship Ad Hoc Network) model that has some different features from MANET and VANET (Vehicular Ad Hoc Network). The search zone for the shortest path is firstly found by EZR. If no path is searched in the zone, the zone is expanded according to the rule of EZR. The zone-expanding and path-searching procedures are repeated until the path is found out. The performance of EZR is evaluated and compared with LAR protocol which is one of the most typical routing protocols based on geographical information. The simulated results show that EZR is much better than LAR at sea environments in terms of routing success rate, route optimality, and a single index of performance combined the previous two metrics.

스마트폰의 보급량이 증가하면서 이동성과 휴대성이 강조된 모바일 검색이 주목 받고 있다. 그러나 모바일 검색을 위한 일반적인 키워드 입력 수단은 키패드로 제한되어 있다. 키패드는 모바일 기기가 갖는 이동성과 휴대성에 적합하지 않다는 단점을 갖는다. 이를 보완하기 위해 음성을 이용한 검색이 등장 하였지만, 이 또한 단점을 지니고 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 다양한 상황에서의 정보 접근성을 향상 시키기 위해 이미지를 검색 수단으로 사용하는 검색 시스템을 제안한다. 본 콘텐츠는 안드로이드 플랫폼 기반의 스마트폰에서 이미지를 얻어 텍스트를 추출하고, 이를 검색 엔진의 키워드로 입력하여 그 결과를 출력하는 과정을 거친다. 또한, 검색 결과를 스마트폰의 내장 데이터베이스에 저장하고, 이를 관리하여 추후에 재사용할 수 있도록 한다. 실험을 통해 인식 가능한 이미지의 특성을 분석하고, 본 콘텐츠의 기능을 소개한다.

학교도서관업무지원시스템(DLS)은 학교도서관 자료에 대한 핵심적 접근 도구이다. 본 연구의 목적은 DLS에서의 학생들의 정보검색행태 분석을 통해 학교도서관 자료 접근성 향상 방안을 탐색적으로 고찰하는 데 있다. 이에 학교도서관에서 DLS 검색을 시도하는 학생 42명을 대상으로 DLS 검색과정을 녹화하고 정보요구 전반에 대한 검색-전 질문지와 검색과정과 결과에 대한 검색-후 질문지를 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 분석결과, 평소 DLS 이용의 주목적이 단순 여가 독서인 경우, 정보요구가 상대적으로 모호한 경우, 그리고 검색과정에서 복잡한 상황을 겪는 경우 등에서 검색 성공률과 검색 만족도가 낮게 나타났다. 검색 만족도는 검색시간 충분성에 대한 만족도가 가장 높게, 검색 결과 만족도가 가장 낮게 나타났다. 기타 의견으로 정보 통합 검색, 관련 자료추천, 소장 위치 출력, 모바일 앱을 통한 음성 인식, 검색 실수 자동 교정 기능 등 요구가 있었다. 이를 통해 다음과 같이 제언할 수 있다. 첫째, 진학 및 진로정보 제공에 대한 교육 수요자의 요구를 반영하여 DLS 역시 진학 및 진로정보를 제공하는 기능을 보완해야 한다. 둘째, 일반적 정보 검색 시스템 수준으로의 DLS 기능 개선이 필수적이다. 셋째, 학교도서관 현장 인력과 DLS 관리 당국 간 긴밀한 협력을 위한 인프라가 구축되어야 한다.

The rapid growth and dissemination of touch-based mobile devices such as smart phones and tablet PCs, gives numerous benefits to people using a variety of multimedia contents. Due to its portability, it enables users to watch a soccer game, search video from YouTube, and sometimes tag on contents on the road. However, the limited screen size of mobile devices and touch-based character input methods based on this, are still major problems of searching and tagging multimedia contents. In this paper, we propose WalkieTagging, which provides a much more intuitive way than that of previous one. Just like any other previous video tagging services, WalkieTagging, as a voice-based annotation service, supports inserting detailed annotation data including start time, duration, tags, with little effort of users. To evaluate our methods, we developed the Android-based WalkieTagging application and performed user study via a two-week. Through our experiments by a total of 46 people, we observed that experiment participator think our system is more convenient and useful than that of touch-based one. Consequently, we found out that voice-based annotation methods can provide users with much convenience and satisfaction than that of touch-based methods in the mobile environments.

최근 단일 정보기기 시스템에서 다양한 채널을 동시에 접근할 수 있도록 하는 멀티-모달 시스템에 관한 연구가 많이 진행되고 있다. 이와 같은 멀티-모달 시스템은 정보 제공 및 e-비즈니스 어플리케이션에 유비쿼터스적인 접근이 가능하게 하며 HCI(Human-computer Interaction)의 실현 가능성을 높일 수 있다. 향후 더욱 발달되고 안정화 된 멀티-모달 브라우징 시스템을 구현할 수 있다면 사용자는 hands-free, eyes-fee의 환경에서 정보기기와의 상호작용을 최대화할 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구에서는 표준 입출력 모드(키보드, 마우스, 디스플레이)를 지원하는 웹 브라우저와 음성인식 및 음성합성을 지원하는 보이스 브라우저를 통합하는 멀티-모달 브라우징 시스템의 구조를 제시하였고, 이러한 시스템의 예로 영영 사전 검색 어플리케이션을 구현하였다.

비디오 스트림이나 음성 아날로그 신호와 같은 연속된 데이타는 특징 공간(feature space)에서 다차원 데이타 시퀀스(multidimensional data sequence)로 모델링될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 다차원 데 이타 시퀀스의 효과적인 클러스터링 기법에 대하여 연구한다. 각 시퀀스는 차후의 저장 및 유사성 검색 (similarity search)을 효율적으로 실행하기 위하여 소수 개의 하이퍼 사각형 (hyper-rectangle) 형태의 클러스터로 표현된다. 본 논문에서는 사전에 정의된 수준의 클러스터링 품질을 보장하는 선형 복잡도를 갖는 클러스터링 알고리즘을 제시하고, 다양한 비디오 데이타에 관한 실험을 통하여 알고리즘의 적합성을 보여준다.

Purpose: Prior studies regarding ethical management on worker's performance have primarily focused on specific industries or regions, potentially limiting the generalizability. This gap in knowledge underscores the need for a comprehensive investigation that considers a diverse range of industries and thoroughly examines the multifaceted aspects of ethical management. Research design, data and methodology: The academic search platform used for this study was 'Google Scholar', 'Scopus', and 'Web of Science' indexes various scholarly articles, including peer-reviewed journals and books. By utilizing specific search terms such as "corporate ethical management" and "employee performance," a vast pool of relevant studies was identified. Results: The findings indicated four effects: first, a positive correlation between ethical management practices and heightened employee motivation and engagement; second, an augmentation in organizational commitment and job satisfaction among employees; third, a reduction in turnover rates, indicating enhanced employee retention; and fourth, an elevation in overall productivity and performance outcomes. Conclusions: In sum, this study offers actionable insights, advocating for adopting and reinforcing ethical management strategies as a potent means to foster a high-performance work culture. These encompass fostering a robust ethical framework, cultivating a culture of transparency and open communication, and providing avenues for employees to voice ethical concerns without fear of retribution.
