대용량 유동해석 데이터에서의 중요도 기반 스트림라인 생성 방법 (Method for Importance based Streamline Generation on the Massive Fluid Dynamics Dataset)

  • 스트림라인 생성은 유동해석 데이터에서 유동의 흐름을 해석하기 위한 대표적인 가시화 기법이다. 그러나 효과적인 스트림라인 배치를 위한 씨드 포인트의 위치를 결정하는 것은 매우 어려운 문제이다. 한편, 대용량의 유동해석 데이터에서 씨드 포인트 결정과 스트림라인 생성 계산은 매우 오랜 시간을 필요로 한다. 본 논문에서는 효과적인 스트림라인 배치를 위해 유동해석 데이터의 중요도를 기반으로 한 씨드 포인트 결정 방법과 분산병렬 가시화 시스템 환경에서의 병렬 처리 기법을 제안한다. 또한, GLOVE 가시화 시스템에서 실제 유동해석 데이터를 이용한 구현 결과를 소개하고 이를 통해 본 논문의 제안 방법을 검증하고자 한다.

  • As the recent developments of artificial intelligence, particularly machine-learning, impact every aspect of society, they are also increasingly influencing creative fields manifested as new artistic tools and inspirational sources. However, as more artists integrate the technology into their creative works, the issues of diversity and fairness are also emerging in the AI-based creative practice. The data dependency of machine-learning algorithms can amplify the social injustice existing in the real world. In this paper, we present an interactive visualization system for raising the awareness of the diversity and fairness issues. Rather than resorting to education, campaign, or laws on those issues, we have developed a web & ML-based interactive data visualization system. By providing the interactive visual experience on the issues in interesting ways as the form of web content which anyone can access from anywhere, we strive to raise the public awareness of the issues and alleviate the important ethical problems. In this paper, we present the process of developing the ML-based interactive visualization system and discuss the results of this project. The proposed approach can be applied to other areas requiring attention to the issues.

  • The requirement for high performance visualization of engineering analysis of digital products is increasing since the size of the current analysis problems is more and more complex, which needs high-performance codes as well as high performance computing systems. On the other hand, different companies or customers do not have all the facilities or have difficulties in accessing those computing resources. In this paper, we present a multi-view supporting VR/AR system for providing supercomputing-based engineering analysis services. The proposed system is designed to provide different views supporting VR/AR visualization services depending on the requirement of the customers. It provides a sophisticated VR rendering directly dependent on a supercomputing resource as well as a remotely accessible AR visualization. By providing multi-view centric analysis services, the proposed system can be more easily applied to various customers requiring different levels of high performance computing resources. We will show the scalability and vision of the proposed approach by demonstrating illustrative examples with different levels of complexity.

  • 전산유체역학의 발달과 함께 그 계산결과를 가시화하기 위한 기술이 필요해졌으며, 여러 분야의 비슷한 요구를 충족시키기 위해 이용되고 있는 자연과학의 가시화 기술이 유동의 가시화를 위해 연구되었다. 이를 위해 근래에 다양한 분야에서 연구개발되고 있는 가시화 기술들을 조사하여 분석 및 비교하였고, 이것을 토대로 유동의 가시화에 적합한 기술을 선정하였다. 또한, 곡면조각을 부분적으로 생성해 내는(Surface Tiling) 방법으로 분류될 수 있는 등가면의 생성 알고리즘이 고안되었다. 실제의 가시화 시스템을 구현하기 위하여 국제표준인 PEX로 그래픽 개발환경을 선택하여 가시화 시스템이 개발되었으며, 개발된 가시화 시스템의 검증을 위해 잘 알려진 몇가지 유동에 대하여 가시화를 시도하였다.

  • Gas/liquid two-phase ejector is a device without moving parts, in which liquid is used to drive gas of a low-pressure source. In this paper, the hydrodynamic characteristics of a vertical down type two-phase ejector were studied using an air-water loop system. Entrained air flow rates were measured with inlet and outlet pressures of the ejector with varying water flow rate. Homogeneous bubbly flows in the discharge pipe were confirmed by the high speed flow visualization method. Quantitative measurements of void fraction were made using a newly developed fiber optic probe system.

  • In this paper, we present a design evaluation system with visualization and interaction of mobile devices using virtual-reality-based prototypes which can be used to easily change design parameters and simulate embedded software. To evaluate and predict affective-engineering-based design preferences for mobile devices under a virtual environment, we have developed a high quality visualization platform which creates images that look similar to real mobile devices in addition to real-time simulation of realistic motions and functions of mobile devices. To support a quantitative usability test scenario for external design shape, we also have built a system which consists of a mixed-reality-based testing platform for measuring hand load.

  • We have developed a laser ultrasonic system for visualization of elastic waves propagating on a solid surface, in order to visualize ultrasonic waves propagating on opaque media. This system can produce a series of successive images as an animation of wave propagation, because of scanning an optical heterodyne probe to measure surface transient displacements. Using this visualization technique, we observed the scattering and diffraction of ultrasonic waves around various shapes of artificial defects, and examined its application to nondestructive inspection.   • Purpose Interactive 3D visualization system through remote data transmission over heterogeneous network is growing due to the improvement of internet based real time streaming technology. Materials and Methods The current internet's IP layer has several weaknesses against IP spoofing or IP sniffing type of network attacks since it was developed for reliable packet exchange. In order to compensate the security issues with normal IP layer, we designed a remote medical visualization system, based on Virtual Private Network. Results Particularly in hospital, if there are many surgeons that need to receive the streaming information, too much load on the gateway can results in deficit of processing power and cause the delay. Conclusion End to end security through the network method would be required.

원심 블로어 입구 유동의 정량적 가시화 연구 (Quantitative Visualization of Inlet Flow of the Centrifugal Blower)

  • The inlet flow of centrifugal blower were quantitatively visualized using particle image velocimetry. Because the centrifugal blower system is one of the key parts of EV battery cooling system, the quantitative information of flow field of centrifugal blower is important to design and optimize the cooling system. Two types of inlet parts were used in this study. One is the straight inlet and the other is a bended one. The results showed the flow asymmetry exists in the straight model due to the pressure difference in the blower. In case of the bended one, the separation bubble and the increase of head loss appeared compared with the straight model.

  • 국가 주요 기반 시설을 포함하여 보안사고 발생 시 심각한 피해를 발생시킬 수 있는 산업 제어시스템의 특성에 의해 세계적으로 많은 보안 침해 사고가 발생하고 있다. 따라서 산업 제어시스템 네트워크에 오가는 트래픽은 감시되고, 분석되어 공격을 사전에 파악하거나 사고 이후 재빠른 대응을 수행할 수 있어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 제어시스템 프로토콜인 DNP3를 대상으로 모든 공격의 가능성을 갖는 트래픽들을 대상으로 합리적인 의심이 가능하도록 네트워크 포렌식 관점에서 시각화를 연구를 수행해 정상행위기반 룰을 정의하고 시각화 요구사항을 도출했다. 이를 기반으로 제어시스템 네트워크상에 캡처된 패킷 파일을 대상으로 DDoS와 같은 급작스런 네트워크 트래픽의 변화를 일으키는 경우 혹은 정상행위를 위반한 공격이 탐지 가능한 시각화 도구를 개발했고, 디지털본드 패킷과 같이 치명적인 공격이 포함된 네트워크상에서 성공적으로 비정상행위 탐지를 수행하였다.
