경도의 발달장애 아동의 시지각 및 주의력 향상을 위한 시기능 훈련의 임상사례 (Clinical cases of vision therapy for visual perception and attention enhancement of children with mild developmental disabilities)

  • Purpose. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of visual field training on visual function, visual perception and attention enhancement. Methods. We examined the changes of visual function and visual perception tests for children with mild developmental disabilities through vision therapy. Results. At the time of the initial visit of the child, the ability to control not only distant and near visual function, but also accommodation, was also very limited. Also, the visual perception score was measured at 80 points. Through vision therapy, it was confirmed that the improvement of control ability as well as the visual function and visual perception function test results were also improved to 108 points. Conclusion. It was confirmed that vision therapy results in an improvement of visual function, improved visual perception ability, as well as visual perception ability, It was concluded that visual function affected visual perception, and that vision therapy used in order to prevent visual function deterioration was found to be very helpful.

  • 목적 : 본 연구는 집단 작업 활동 프로그램이 지역아동센터 아동들의 시지각 및 운동기능을 향상시킬 수 있는지 알아보았다. 연구방법 : 지역아동센터를 이용하는 만 6~9세 학령기 아동 5명을 대상으로 집단 작업 활동 프로그램을 실시하였다. 프로그램은 놀이를 기반으로 시지각 및 운동기능을 촉진할 수 있는 요소를 포함하였고, 주 1회(90분) 총 9회기로 진행되었다. 아동의 시지각 및 운동기능에 대한 프로그램 효과를 알아보기 위하여 프로그램 전과 후에 Motor Free Visual Perception Test-Third Edition(MVPT-3)와 Bruiniks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency 2nd Edition(BOT-2) 평가를 실시하여 두 시점의 평가 결과를 비교하였다. 결과 : 집단 작업 활동 프로그램은 지역아동센터 아동의 시지각 및 운동기능을 향상시키는 효과가 있었다. 결론 : 본 연구는 지역아동센터 아동들의 시지각 및 운동기능의 발달 촉진에 있어서 집단 작업 활동 프로그램의 효과를 보여주었다. 이러한 경험적 증거는 발달을 촉진하는 작업 활동이 지역사회에 적용되고 확대될 수 있는 근거를 제시한다.

The Effect of Driving Simulator Program on Elderly Drivers

  • The purpose of the present study was to present evidence for driving interventions for the elderly by conducting programs that can improve visual perception and cognitive function in a driving simulator for elderly drivers and analyse their effects. Three elderly subjects who were 65 years or older, did not have physical and cognitive impairments, and were able to drive themselves participated in the present study. A total of 12 intervention sessions, of which subjects participated in 10 sessions of nine different visual perception and cognitive function programs available in a driving simulator, were conducted and pre- and post-program assessments were conducted (two assessments in total). The assessments included the evaluation of visual perception, frontal lobe function, concentration, safe driving behaviour, and self-efficacy. The results showed positive effects of the driving simulator program on the visual perception, frontal lobe function, concentration, safe driving behaviour, and self-efficacy of all subjects. Changes in the simulator results showed remarkable improvement in the response evaluation, judgment evaluation, and predictive power evaluation, but showed difficulties in interference tasks and depth perception in common. The results showed positive effects of driving simulator training on the driving ability of the elderly, and consistent provision of such training is expected to improve the quality of life of the elderly by securing the safety of driving and actively supporting social participation.

경두개 직류자극 및 인지훈련 프로그램 적용이 치매환자의 인지기능, 시지각 및 일상생활활동에 미치는 영향 (Does the Application Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation and Visual Perception Program Enhance the Visual Perception Function and ADL Performance of Dementia Patients)

  • Purpose : There is a lack of research on this field in the Republic of Korea, especially those that have seen the effect of interaction between transcranial direct current stimulation and computerized cognitive rehabilitation therapy. This study divided 30 dementia patients into a treatment group, which received transcranial direct current stimulation and computerized cognitive rehabilitation, and a control group, which received pseudo-transcranial direct current stimulation and pseudo-computerized cognitive rehabilitation. This study evaluated the effects of these treatments on the visual perception, cognition functions, and daily activities of dementia patients. Methods : Fifteen subjects were allocated to the treatment group and the other 15 subjects were allocated to the control group. Treatments were given at intervals of five sessions per week (30 minutes per session) for six weeks (30 times in total). This study used the Neurobehavioral Cognitive Status Examination (NCSE) to examine cognitive functions, MVPT to evaluate visual perception, and FIM to test daily living activities before and after applying the treatments. Results : The results of this study showed that cognitive functions, visual perception, and daily living activities significantly (p<.05) improved after the intervention in the treatment group and the control group. The changes in cognitive functions, visual perception, and daily living activities due to the treatments were significantly different between the groups (p<.05). Conclusion : The results indicated that transcranial direct current stimulation and computerized cognitive rehabilitation therapy improved visual perception and daily living activities by increasing cognitive functions. Consequently, it was found that the simultaneous application of transcranial direct current stimulation in conjunction with a computerized cognitive rehabilitation program was an intervention method that could positively affect the visual perception, cognitive function, and daily living activities of dementia patients. Based on the results of this study, the study of arbitration protocols for demential will have to be more active.

뇌성마비 아동에게 시지각 중재가 미치는 효과에 대한 체계적 고찰 (A Systematic Review of the Effects of Visual Perception Interventions for Children With Cerebral Palsy)

  • 목적 : 본 연구는 뇌성마비 아동에게 시지각 중재를 적용한 연구들에 대해 체계적으로 고찰하여, 시지각중재의 효과에 대해 분석하고자 한다. 연구방법 : 데이터 베이스는 PubMed, EMbase, Science Direct, ProQuest, Koreanstudies Information Service System (KISS), Research Information Sharing Service (RISS), 국회도서관을 사용하였다. 키워드는 뇌성마비, 시지각, cerebral palsy, CP, visual perception을 사용하였다. PRISMA Flowchart에 따라 2012년 1월 1일부터 2022년 3월 30일까지 게재된 연구 중에서 10편을 선정하였다. 선정된 연구들의 질적 수준, 연구 대상자의 인구학적 특성, 중재의 효과, 중재의 영역과 전략, 중재의 효과를 측정하기 위한 평가도구, 비뚤림 위험에 대해 분석하였다. 결과 : 선정된 모든 연구에서 시지각 중재가 시지각 기능 증진에 효과적임을 확인하였다. 또한 시지각중재는 시지각 기능뿐만 아니라 상지기능, 일상생활활동, 자세조절, 목표달성, 심리사회 영역에서도 긍정적인 결과를 나타냈다. 눈-손 협응 영역은 모든 연구에서 중재되었다. 결론 : 시지각 중재 시 시지각 기능을 영역별로 평가하고, 개인별 체계적으로 단계화된 맞춤 중재를 적용해야 한다.

The relationship between visual perception and social skills in late adolescence

  • It is necessary to investigate how age or gender affects visual perception and social skills in late adolescence. A study on the relevance of visual perception in late adolescence, a period that requires social adaptation through the development of social functions, is necessary. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between visual perception and social skills in adolescence. Visual perception and social skill were evaluated for 18-24-year-olds, who are in late adolescence, and were analyzed for gender differences and correlations with chronological age. This study found that there was a difference in visual perceptual function according to gender in late adolescence, and it was significantly higher in men. There was no significant difference in social skills according to gender. However, there was a significantly positive correlation between chronological age and visual perception, but there was no correlation with social skills. These findings provide novel information regarding the developmental course of visual perception and social skill in late adolescence.

Effects of virtual reality cognitive rehabilitation program on cognitive function, physical function and depression in the elders with dementia

  • The aim of this study is to examine the effects of virtual reality cognitive rehabilitation program on cognitive function, physical function and depression of long-term care insurance nongrading elderly dementia using Daytime protection service. For achieve this purpose, 30 dementia elderly were randomly assigned in to the experimental group(n=15)and control group(n=15). All subjects performed a general therapeutic exercise and 20- 30minutes takes virtual reality cognitive rehabilitation program were conducted with experimental group 2 times a week for 8 weeks. The intervention effects were measured by using cognitive function is mini-mental states examination-Korean version(MMSE-K), visual perception is MVPT(Motor-Free Visual Perception Test), Berg's balance scales(BBS), depression test GDS-K and lower limb strength. The results of study represented that the training group showed significant improvement in MMSEK( p<.05), visual perception(p<.05), balance(p<.05), lower limb strength(p<.05) and depression (p<.05). In conclusion, the virtual reality cognitive rehabilitation training using improves visual perception included cognitive function, physical function included balance, and lower limb strength and depression. These results suggest that virtual reality training using virtual reality cognitive rehabilitation program is feasible and suitable for mild dementia.

시각기능 개선을 위한 시기능훈련이 시지각에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Visual Perception by Vision Therapy for Improvement of Visual Function)

  • 목적: 시각이상을 가진 아동을 대상으로 시기능훈련을 통한 시각기능이상의 개선 전후 시지각점수의 변화를 살펴보고 시지각에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 한다. 방법: 시각기능이상을 가진 13세 미만($8.75{\pm}1.66$)의 아동 23명을 대상으로 시기능훈련 전후에 시지각기능검사(TVPS_R; test of visual perceptual skills-revised)를 실시하여 시기능훈련에 따른 시각기능의 변화와 시지각 평가점수의 변화를 분석하였다. 결과: 시기능훈련을 통해서 원거리 PRC(positive relative convergence) 분리점은 평균 $3.39{\pm}2.59{\Delta}$(prism)에서 $13.87{\pm}6.04{\Delta}$로 증가되었고, 근거리 P.R.C 분리점은 평균 $5.48{\pm}3.42{\Delta}$에서 $18.44{\pm}7.58{\Delta}$로 증가하였다. NPC(near point of convergence)는 $25.87{\pm}7.33cm$에서 $7.48{\pm}2.83cm$로 개선되었고, NPA(near point of accommodation)는 $19.57{\pm}7.16cm$에서 $7.09{\pm}1.88cm$로 개선되었다. 시지각평가에서 시각기억분야를 제외하고는 대응차가 시각완성에서 $17.74{\pm}16.94$(p=0.000), 시각적순차기억에서 $15.65{\pm}17.11$(p=0.000), 배경식별에서 $13.65{\pm}16.63$(p=0.001), 형태향상성에서 $12.74{\pm}18.41$(p=0.003), 시각구별에서 $6.49{\pm}10.07$(p=0.005), 시각적공간지각에서 $4.17{\pm}9.33$(p=0.043) 순으로 개선되었고, 이를 종합한 시지각점수는 대응차가 $15.22{\pm}8.66$(p=0.000)로서 더욱 더 유의한 결과를 나타내었다. 결론: 시기능훈련을 통해서 시각기능의 개선과 시각기억분야를 제외한 시지각점수의 향상이 시각완성, 시각적순차기억, 배경식별, 형태향상성, 시각구별, 시각적공간지각 순으로 유의하게 나타났다. 따라서 시각기능향상을 위한 시기능훈련은 시각의 기능뿐만 아니라 시지각의 기능까지 영향을 미치는 것을 확인 할 수 있으며 시각훈련의 중요성을 인식 할 수 있었다.

  • Purpose : This study aimed to evaluate the changes in visual perception and daily life activities after simultaneously applying the visual perception training program and transcranial DC stimulation. Particularly, this study tried to understand what changes in abilities among daily life activities influenced cognition. Methods : This study selected 50 dementia patients to achieve the objective. This study applied transcranial DC stimulation and a visual perception training program to a treatment group (n=25) and a visual perception training program to a control group (n=25). The intervention was applied five times per week and 30 minutes per session (total of 30 intervention sessions). This study measured visual perception functions and daily life activities using MVPT and FIM before and after applying the intervention. Results : The visual perception, mobility of daily life activities, cognition, and total score of the treatment group (n=25), which received the visual perception training program and transcranial DC at the same time, were significantly (p<.05) different between before and after the intervention. Moreover, when the visual perception and daily life activities of the treatment group and those of the control group after implementing the intervention were compared, they were significantly (p<.05) different between the two groups. Conclusion : The results of this study showed that the simultaneous application of the visual perception training program and transcranial DC stimulation was an effective means to enhance the visual perception and daily life activities of dementia patients. The results implied that transcranial DC stimulation, as well as the application of visual perception training program, as well as a visual perception training program, was effective for improving the visual perception functions and daily life activities dementia patients and simultaneous application of the two interventions would increase the effect even further.

시각, 청각 피드백을 이용한 디지털 페그보드 훈련 작업치료 프로그램이 뇌졸중 환자의 손 기능 및 시·지각에 미치는 영향 (Effects of a Digital Pegboard Training Program With Visual and Auditory Feedback on Hand Function and Visual Perception in Patients With Stroke)

  • 목적 : 본 연구는 시각, 청각 피드백을 이용한 디지털 페그보드 훈련 프로그램이 뇌졸중 환자의 손 기능과 시·지각에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구방법 : 연구 대상자는 뇌졸중 환자 22명으로 실험군(시각, 청각 피드백을 이용한 디지털 페그보드 훈련 작업치료 프로그램 및 전통적인 작업치료) 11명과 대조군(전통적인 작업치료) 11명으로 무작위 할당되었다. 실험군은 1회당 30분씩 주 3회 6주간 총 18회의 시각, 청각 피드백을 이용한 디지털 페그보드 훈련 프로그램을 적용하여 치료를 시행하였으며, 1회당 30분씩 주 2회는 12회의 전통적인 작업치료를 받아 총 30회의 치료를 시행 하였다. 대조군은 1회당 30분씩 주 5회, 6주간 총 30회를 작업치료사를 통하여 전통적인 작업치료를 받도록 하였다. 평가는 중재 전, 후로 손 기능을 측정하기 위하여 Nine-hole pegboard test와 뇌졸중상지기능검사(MFT)를 시행하였다. 결과 : 실험군과 대조군 모두 중재 전과 후 Nine-hole pegboard test와 MVPT-3에서 유의한 상승을 보였다 (p<.05). 두 군 간의 비교에서는 실험군이 대조군보다 Nine-hole pegboard test와 MVPT-3결과 변화량 차이에 서 유의한 향상을 보였다(p<.05). 결론 : 본 연구의 결과를 통하여 시각 및 청각 피드백을 이용한 디지털 페그보드 훈련 프로그램이 뇌졸중 환자의 손 기능과 시·지각기능의 향상을 위한 재활 프로그램에 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.
