The desktop-level 3D printing machines makes it easier for independent designers to produce collectible models. Desktop 3D printers that use FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) technology usually use a minimum nozzle diameter of 0.4mm. When using FDM printers to make Gunpla models, Thin slice structures are prone to slicing errors, which lead to deformation of printed objects and reduction in structural strength. This paper aims to analyze the printing model that produces errors, control a single variable among the three variables of slice layer height, slice wall thickness and filament type for comparative testing, and find a way to avoid gaps. To provide assistance for using FDM printers to build models containing thin-walled structures.
This paper presents modeling of QIROV's motion on the X-Y plane. Modeling covered the dynamics of a ROV equiped with two trusters at tail, and it started with reconstructing the forces of X, Y and toque from two trusters' forces. The simulator built based on the modeling using Visual C under MS Windows XP.
Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and ground vehicles (UGV) require advanced video analytics for various tasks, such as moving object detection and segmentation; this has led to increasing demands for these methods. We propose a zero-shot video object segmentation method specifically designed for UAV and UGV applications that focuses on the discovery of moving objects in challenging scenarios. This method employs a background memory model that enables training from sparse annotations along the time axis, utilizing temporal modeling of the background to detect moving objects effectively. The proposed method addresses the limitations of the existing state-of-the-art methods for detecting salient objects within images, regardless of their movements. In particular, our method achieved mean J and F values of 82.7 and 81.2 on the DAVIS'16, respectively. We also conducted extensive ablation studies that highlighted the contributions of various input compositions and combinations of datasets used for training. In future developments, we will integrate the proposed method with additional systems, such as tracking and obstacle avoidance functionalities.

In this paper, we propose the visual simulation system for virtual reality motion rider system. The visual simulation system can apply verity virtual reality system. This paper deals with programs on 3D automatic creation of terrain, road design, and a realtime rendering program for the virtual reality system. For the 3D automatic creation of terrain, DEM data and rectangular grid method are applied. We can make two different road object with the road design program. One of them includes road definition, and the other is obtained by using 'NURBS curve.' Visual simulation is consisted by additional modeling and real-time rendering. We can apply the programs made in this way to visual system of driving simulator.
VRML (Virtual Reality Modeling Language) is an Web-based standard for modeling 3D spaces and provides applications with 3D interactive interfaces. With its recent upgrade, it supports events, routes, scripts, and other behavior modeling constructs. This paper approaches VRML as a simulation modeling language. This approach promotes the sharing and distribution of simulation results and demonstration among distributed users as well as efficient modeling of systems through the direct mapping of 3D objects and behaviors. This paper analyzes the behavior modeling constructs of VRML, presents effective modeling alternatives through the modeling of a simple material processing system, and discusses the upgrade direction of VRML as a foundation for distributed interactive simulation system.
Video Data includes moving objects which change spatial positions as time goes by. In this paper, we propose a new modeling method for a moving object contained in the video data. In order to effectively retrieve moving objects, the proposed modeling method represents the spatial position and the size of a moving object. It also represents the visual features and the trajectory by considering direction, distance and speed or moving objects as time goes by. Therefore, It allows various types of retrieval such as visual feature based similarity retrieval, distance based similarity retrieval and trajectory based similarity retrieval and their mixed type of weighted retrieval.
Visual inspection is regarded as one of the critical activities for quality control in a manufacturing company. it is thus important to improve the performance of detecting a defective part or product. There are three probable working modes for visual inspection: fully automatic (by automatic machines), fully manual (by human operators), and semi-automatic (by collaboration between human operators and automatic machines). Most of the current studies on visual inspection have been focused on the improvement of automatic detection performance by developing a better automatic machine using computer vision technologies. However, there are still a range of situations where human operators should conduct visual inspection with/without automatic machines. In this situation, human operators'performance of visual inspection is significant to the successful quality control. However, visual inspection of components assembled into a mobile camera module belongs to those situations. This study aims to investigate human performance issues in visual inspection of the components, paying more attention to human errors. For this, Abstraction Hierarchy-based work domain modeling method was applied to examine a range of direct or indirect factors related to human errors and their relationships in the visual inspection of the components. Although this study was conducted in the context of manufacturing mobile camera modules, the proposed method would be easily generalized into other industries.

It is greatly important to understand the mechanics of AFM-based nanorobotic manipulation for efficient and reliable handling of nanoparticles. Robust motion control of an AFM-based nanorobotic manipulation is much challenging due to uncertain mechanics in tip-sample interaction dominated by surface and intermolecular force and limitations in force and visual sensing capability to observe environment. This paper investigates a nanomechanic modeling which enables simulation for AFM-based nanorobotic manipulation , and its application to motion planning of an AFM-based nanorobot. Based on the modeling of intermolecular and adhesion force in AFM-based nanomanipulation, the behaviors of an AFM ca...
