스트라이프 조건에 따른 2차원 이미지와 3차원 가상착의 이미지의 착용효과 비교 (Comparison of Slim Appearance for 2D Image and 3D Virtual Clothing Images Based on Stripe Arrangement)

  • This study analyzed the difference between 2D image and 3D virtual clothing images based on stripe arrangement to obtain fundamental data for slim appearance. First, the slimming effect according to the three types of stripe ratio was examined. Subsequently, the slimming effects of seven types of one-piece dress designs according to the stripe location were analyzed. Subjective ranking was evaluated. The width items and radius of curvature were measured for the image's respective parts. Consequently, in 2D image and 3D virtual clothing images, the one with the narrowest stripe ratio was evaluated as the slimmest; however, the conditions for the slimming effect were different. In the seven one-piece dress designs, a difference was apparent in the ranking of the 2D image and 3D virtual clothing images. In the 3D virtual clothing image, arranging the stripes on the entire garment proved inefficient. The stripes were curved according to the curvature of the human body, creating an optical illusion that differed from that of the 2D image.

시각 암호화와 가상 위상영상을 이용한 광 암호화 시스템 (Optical encryption system using visual cryptography and virtual phase images)

  • 광을 이용하여 암호화를 하는 경우는 위조 및 복제의 방지를 위하여 세기성분보다는 위상성분을 이용하여 주로 암호화를 하고 있다. 그러나 위상정보를 검출할 수 있는 장비가 개발된다면 정보를 유출 당할 수 있는 위험이 있다. 이러한 위험을 줄이기 위해 본 논문에서는 가상 위상영상을 이용하고 또한 정보를 다수가 공유할 수 있도록 시각 암호화(visual cryptography) 방법을 이용하여 정보를 보다 안전하게 보관하고 공유하는 시스템을 제안하였다.

  • Image synthesis has been remarkably developed in the computer vision domain and various researches have been proposed to generate realistic and high-resolution images. In particular, image-based virtual try-on is an application in fashion domain to simulate wearing clothes. Specifically, using input images of a fashion model and products, an realistic image of the model wearing the provided garments is synthesized. In this paper, we present a comprehensive review of technical trends in image-based virtual try-on technology. We first introduce relevant datasets and discuss their characteristics. Then, we categorize existing image synthesis methods into three main streams: warping-based methods, encoding-decoding-based methods, and diffusion-based methods. Finally, we explore other important research issues in the field of virtual try-on and analyze related researches aimed to tackling those challenges.

  • In this paper, we propose a method to generate a free viewpoint image using multi-viewpoint images which are taken by cameras arranged circularly. In past times, we have proposed the method to generate a free viewpoint image based on Ray-Space method. However, with that method, we can not generate a walk-through view seen from a virtual viewpoint among objects. The method we propose in this paper realizes the generation of such view. Our method gets information of the positions of objects using shape from silhouette method at first, and selects appropriate cameras which acquired rays needed for generating a virtual image. A free viewpoint image can be generated by collecting rays which pass over the focal point of a virtual camera. However, when the requested ray is not available, it is necessary to interpolate it from neighboring rays. Therefore, we estimate the depth of the objects from a virtual camera and interpolate ray information to generate the image. In the experiments with the virtual sequences which were captured at every 6 degrees, we set the virtual camera at user's choice and generated the image from that viewpoint successfully.

패션 일러스트레이션에서의 이미지 가상화 연구 (A Study on the Image-Virtualization in Fashion Illustration)

  • Image which appears in fashion illustration on the late twentieth century is not the representative image as an equivalence to the real fashion styles but the virtual image which bears no relation to any reality. The purpose of this study is review the concept of virtuality and analyze in which way virtual image is expressed in fashion illustrations on the background of Jean Baudrillard's simulacre theory. In post-modem paintings the expression methods of image-virtualization were image mixing through photo-image appropriation, image overlapping, and the icons inserted unreasonably, the focus-out effect through scrubbing and the over-painting on the photograph. Image-virtualization in fashion illustration was expressed through image mixing and expression of image uncertainty. Image mixing was made by photo-image appropriation, image overlapping, connection of heterogeneous images and using interface image, and uncertain image was expressed through the expression of visual ambiguity and virtual movement.

  • In this paper, we propose an improved optical security system using three phase-encoded images and the principle of interference. This optical system based on a Mach-Zehnder interferometer consists of one phase-encoded virtual image to be encrypted and two phase-encoded images, encrypting image and decrypting image, where every pixel in the three images has a phase value of '0' and '$\pi$'. The proposed encryption is performed by the multiplication of an encrypting image and a phase-encoded virtual image which dose not contain any information from the decrypted image. Therefore, even if the unauthorized users steal and analyze the encrypted image, they cannot reconstruct the required image. This virtual image protects the original image from counterfeiting and unauthorized access.. The decryption of the original image is simply performed by interfering between a reference wave and a direct pixel-to-pixel mapping image of the encrypted image with a decrypting image. Both computer simulations and optical experiments confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed optical technique for optical security applications.

자동차 시뮬레이터의 가상환경 구성에 대한 연구 (Construction of Virtual Environment for a Vehicle Simulator)

  • Vehicle driving simulators can provide engineers with benefits on the development and modification of vehicle models. One of the most important factors to realistic simulations is the fidelity given by a motion system and a real-time visual image generation system. Virtual reality technology has been widely used to achieve high fidelity. In this paper the virtual environment including a visual system like a head-mounted display is developed for a vehicle driving simulator system by employing the virtual reality technique. virtual vehicle and environment models are constructed using the object-oriented analysis and design approach. Accordint to the object model a three dimensional graphic model is developed with CAD tools such as Rhino and Pro/E. For the real-time image generation the optimized IRIS Performer 3D graphics library is embedded with the multi-thread methodology. Compared with the single loop apprach the proposed methodology yields an acceptable image generation speed 20 frames/sec for the simulator.

가상위상영상을 이용한 잡음 및 변이에 강한 암호화 시스템 (Shift and Noise Tolerance Encryption System using a Phase-Based Virtual Image)

  • 본 논문에서는 위상 변조된 가상 영상을 이용하여 암호화 수준을 향상시키고 퓨리에 영역에서 잡음이나 변이에 강한 복호화 방법을 제안하였다. 암호화된 영상은 원 영상이 아닌 위상 변조된 가상 영상과 무작위 위상 영상을 곱하여 퓨리에 변환하여 만든다. 따라서 허가되지 않은 사용자가 암호화된 영상을 분석함으로써 있을 수 있는 복제 가능성을 원 영상의 어떤 정보도 포함하지 않은 가상 영상을 사용함으로써 배제할 수 있다. 복호화 과정은 암호화된 영상과 제안한 위상 대응 규칙으로 만들어진 퓨리에 복호화 키를 간섭시킨 후 퓨리에 역변환하여 간단히 원 영상을 재생하고 컴퓨터 모의 실험을 통하여 제안한 방법의 암호화된 영상과 복호화 키 영상에 잡음이나 영상의 절단, 변이가 발생하더라도 원 영상의 복원이 가능함을 확인하였다.

  • 디지털 미디어 환경의 상호작용 가능성은 인간의 표현 방식에 채택되어 디지털 기술의 역동적인 측면을 의미화구조와 통합함으로써 영상의 표현 범위는 물론 영상 수용의 패러다임을 전환하고 있다. 가상현실 영상은 얼마나 생생하게 현실을 모사하고 있는가와 같은 핍진성(verisimilitude)의 문제를 넘어 제작자-영상-관객으로 이어지는 영상의 제작과 수용의 일방향적 메커니즘을 변화시키고 있다는 점에서 중요한 의미를 지니고 있다. 무엇보다도 가상현실 영상은 일방적으로 제시되는 것이 아니라 이용자에 의해 구성되는 상호작용적 영상이다. 가상현실 영상을 본다는 것은 카메라가 비추는 것만을 보는 것이 아니라 마치 현실 세계에서와 같은 시야를 확보하게 된다. 따라서 프레이밍을 통해 통제되던 영상이 이용자에 의해 적극적으로 구성되는 것으로 변화한다. 이는 영상자체의 존재 양식의 변화는 물론 영상 수용 패러다임의 전환을 의미한다. 아울러 영상의 서술구조와 그 과정에서 구성되는 주체에 대해서도 새로운 논의를 요구하는 것이다. 가상현실 영상에서 이용자의 시선은 영상 안의 시선과 영상 밖의 시선이 융합된 것이다. 가상현실 영상에서 시선의 주체로서 이용자의 위치는 쇼트의 연결, 내레이션과 같은 담론의 장치에 의해 지속적으로 제한되기 때문이다. 가상현실 영상의 의의는 미학적으로 완성도 높은 영상을 보여주는 것을 넘어 이용자에 따라 영상이 재구성됨으로써 영상 속에 이용자의 존재를 적극적으로 반영하고 거기에 이용자를 참여시키는데 있다.

국내외 3차원 가상 의복 착장시스템에 대한 선호도 비교 (The Comparison of User Preference on Domestic versus a Foreign 3D Virtual Try-On System)

  • Several applications of body scanning technology have been commercialized or are currently under development. The virtual fit from 3D scans is most advanced form of virtual try-on. This article is an analysis of the comparison of user preferences for domestic versus foreign 3D virtual try-on systems. For this study, domestic i-Fashion Mall (www.ifashionmall.co.kr) and a Canadian company, My Virtual Model (www.mvm.com) were selected as the most representative online retailers that offer a virtual try-on system. The respondents were comprised of 70 Korean female college students in the age group 20-29. A five point Likert scale was used to evaluate the degree of the preference of virtual avatar and try-on images. T-test, cross table, and a chi-square independence test were conducted for data analysis. The results are as follow. 1. The representation about current looks according to each virtual fit image indicates that MVM is more accurate than i-Fashion Mall. 2. About decision confidence, respondents have decision confidence in i-Fashion Mall in the case of the avatar image; however, respondents have confidence in MVM or the fit image. 3. There were no significant differences in among waist size groups in accuracy, trust of each avatar image, while there were significant differences among waist size groups in the accuracy and trust of each virtual fit image. 4. About ease of use, respondents answered that i-Fashion Mall is superior to MVM. 5. The respondents prioritized the ‘fitting report’ of i-Fashion Mall and ‘Weight loss’ of MVM over other functionalities.
